Chapter 2: THE HAPPY FAMILY
THIS IS THE STORY
"Serena, wake up baby" Mum called out my name. It took me only God knows how long to open my eyes to the bright beam of light coming in through my window. The night was too short. I had a beautiful dream with me being another young lawyer working in my dad's firm. Women rights are also important but in some part of the world and my country, we don't see it in that manner. I strongly stand against that. That is my motive for becoming a lawyer, a good and honest one of course. Immediately I saw dad behind her, I jumped out of bed to hug him. I miss him. We do that to make mum jealous. She will pass by us as if we so not exist in this world but she knows the love I have for her is more than that of dad.
"Dad, it's seems someone is jealous" I said laughing while running to the kitchen to greet mum. Dad just nodded smiling and followed me up to the kitchen.
After receiving my good morning kiss from mum, I went back to my room to freshen up and prepare for school.
I am just 6 years old and the only child and daughter in the Williams family. My parents make sure I'm happy as that is their first priority.
We live in our own house, A big house of course. I attend one of the best schools in my country.
I don't remember missing a party on any of my birthdays since I was born. There are parties organised in our house on my birthdays and that of mum and dad not forgetting Christmas celebrations and others. My friends from school and church are 'll invited and we all have good times together.
Clara is my bestfriend and her family isn't really rich like that of my family
I always thank God for a happy and a complete family.
My family is my mum and dad and my God. Dad drops me at school every morning and picks me up after school. Mum is a food scientist therefore is very particular about food and its source.
Dad is a renowned lawyer im Ghana. Everything of his is about law even his sleep.....
Dad loves reading so do I. My parents do not joke with my education especially I being their only child.
" mum, I'm ready for school "
" don't forget your lunch box" mum replied as she packed my lunch box.
Dad came down adjusting his necktie.
Mum helped him out, set his breakfast for him.
After breakfast dad drove me to school and went to the office.
My family is perfect. A HAPPY one of course.
I always pray to God to protect my family.
