Chapter 11: A New Beginning
"Wanna Explain?"she asked,he tone laces with anger.
"I had no idea what your name was,and I was chosen as your guardian ,and the rule here states I could only be your guardian, if your surname was changed to mine it's okay you can change it back"he didn't tell her he had the choice not to change her surname but had done it willingly,he wished she didn't change it either.
Dandelion however looked into his eyes and saw his handsome face ,his had stress in them,and knew if not because of the incident he would be in his home preparing to sign a record deal or other stuffs or probably,be sleeping now.she felt sorry and stupid,he had gone as far to offer her a job as a mode of compensating her after staying with her till she woke up, and had even confessed his love for her shamelessly.
"I'm sorry"she muttered, Collins had watched her gaze at him after her reply,but her face held no emotion which he could read.
Her reply surprised him,"for what"he asked.
"for everything,you are stressed because of me and I'm not being greatful,I'm sorry,I will accept your offer,but please I would like to work part time since I would be sending my brothers to School"she paused.
Collins had a glimpse of the sadness in her voice.
he moved close to her and raised her chin up,"Dandy,you would not need to work part time when you are with me,Cause your pay would cover all your expenses and I hope I get as much love from you,in your stay with me,and thanks for accepting me"he felt home in what he was staring at in her,he finally understood her long gaze at him,she cared and with that thought he drew her close in a tight hug.
He had no idea, Dandelion's heart had already been won by him that moment.
separating herself from the hug but his hands were still in her shoulder,
she faced him to ask,"what do you mean by staying with you"she was sure she had not heard wrong,one of her gifts was remembering things.
"Uhm honey,why don't we both go home and refresh,I will come and pick you up by seven in the morning tomorrow and we will talk,if that's okay by you only"he said suggestingly,
"Ok"she didn't show how her heart had leaped when he called her honey,she just wished she was doing what was right,her father had told her not to look back and be happy,she hope that was exactly what she was doing,she didn't deny Collins because she had a gift to decipher the truth from lies.
walking arms in arms,they met the brothers chatting happily and freely with Collins assistant,This was no doubt a confirmation everything was going to be alright ,that's was all she needed right now,to have Faith.
Minutes later she was discharged with some drugs,and Collins was able to convince her to drop them home,while his body guards drove the car Chris brought from James to take them back home behind them.
Collins didn't tell Dandelion James was his cousin,so he let Chris describe the path that led to their new home he already knew.
He surprised her by dropping a light peck on her cheeks, before he scurried off to his home which was Just some blocks aways to Dandelion's house,he had some business to attend to and a shower to take,he had washed in the plane before it landed but his body was currently protesting.
After taking a shower and eating some fast food,not because he could not cook,but that would be late in his terms,he sat back on his invaluable sofa going through some files,His phone rang attracting his attention.
"Anything?"he asked codedly.
"yes and I'm sure you would be interested"the speaker on the other line said.
Collins glanced at his wall clock,it was already five in the evening,how time flew these days was out of imagination.
"I'm home already so it's alright for you to come,I'll be expecting you in the next five minute,bring some home made meals with you,thanks"hanging up,he didn't wait to hear the sigh that escaped his friend and work associate lips.
Placing the phone on the table he continued his previous activities,but this time,every now and then his mind strayed to the caring look and shocked look, Dandelion gave him,in other words his mind strayed to Dandelion,he wondered what would have happened if he had delayed his trip,would it have been another man colliding with her,he hated that thought and his possessive feeling kicked in.
His doorbell rang,he had an idea who it was since his phone was connected to the camera at the front door,to see whoever that was there and true to his thoughts,it was his ever whiney friend,George Seattle.
standing up,his mind suddenly told him he was forgetting something but he couldn't place his mind on it he tried replaying all that occured today but,he could not place his mind on it,he wondered what his mind was telling him to remeber,shaking it off he stood to pour himself a glass of wine, ignoring George.
"You won't even say hello"George started in his ever whiney tone.
"like I've ever done that"col replied not forgetting to snort.
George just sat down uninvited as he snatches Collins wine before gulping it down at a go.
"you sure have a death wish"Collins gently said.
His voice however sent a shiver down George spine,reminding him the kind of friend he has.
Picking up the file In his hands he handed it over to Collins,who immediately forgot his intentions of killing someone earlier now, as he steadied his gaze on the file in his hands,calling his senses home all attention placed on the files as if his life depended on it.
George who saw this look,knew something was up,he wondered what could make his friend so engrossed in a girls matter like this,he suddenly felt the need to meet this strange personal that got his friends attention,since he had nothing doing,he immediately stood up to prepare something for them,since Collins has never been a fan of maids or servants he lived alone,but something told him that was about to change soon too.
