Chapter 11: - Infiltration 3
After all the goblins gathered together within the circle, I had them all follow me. I kept a close eye on them and even counted the remaining goblins, equaling exactly 19. The huts at the center of the village were much bigger than the ones at the edge which is how so many goblins can live in a place with so few homes. I stopped at the biggest tent and made the goblins stand outside and wait. If they decided to attack, only so many would be able to effectively fight within the tent and I was sure I could handle that many. If any ran I would easily find out with a recount and I'd destroy the entire village until I found them. I'm more concerned with finding some good gear.
There was a corner of the shack with a crudely made table with a pouch of bronze and a few silver, another weapon, this one being an iron sword, and some human leather armor that I couldn't quite use yet as my body proportions made it awkward. I sent the gold and armor to my inventory and examined the sword.

'It seems this one is in better condition than the dagger, the question is where did they even find this? I guess I'll try to ask.' I stepped out of the tent holding the sword and took a recount of all the goblins. 'Really? Not one tried to run away? They must be more scared than I thought.' I pointed at my sword and made a confused expression. Most seem confused but one seemed to understand as she stepped forward and made a gesture that looked like "follow me". I let her lead the way and we left the village. We walked for several hours until finally we broke the wood line and there was a path with strange tracks in them, ones that were continuously straight with no break. 'WHEELS! THIS IS A HUMAN PATH!' The excitement got to me as I finally had a safe path that will lead me to somewhere.
I then pointed back to the circle and the female goblin walked back to join the others. 'I feel bad for doing this but it's necessary if I want to get stronger. I can use that dagger now that I have another human weapon to use for my evolution. The speed boost should make up for my lack of skill.'
I then put the sword back in my inventory and brought out the dagger. 'I've already killed most of them, I'm not sure why I'm suddenly feeling bad about it.' I brandished the dagger in my hands and lunged forward. I stabbed the first goblin in the chest before the rest even knew what happened. Before they reacted I held the dagger in my left hand and swiped with my claws. 'I won't be able to kill them all with this dagger without some getting away, I'll need to poison them.' I then started scratching every goblin as fast as I could. By now they had started splitting up and running away towards the wood line. I flew in the air and passed them. Landing in between them and the woods, some goblins I had already scratched earlier were already showing signs of decreased speed due to the poison.
I darted forward and started scratching the goblins who hadn't been injured. After hitting all the ones in the main group with only a few giving me some trouble, I took off into the air and flew to the more spread out ones who were still running away, just in a vast open field so it was quite easy to catch them.
'That should be all of them.' The goblins had realized that my speed for us low leveled monsters, was much faster than them, and running away wasn't an option with the light poison flowing in their veins. They formed a decently spread out-group in front of me prepared to attack, thankfully with this dagger it shouldn't be too hard. They charged at me with hate-filled expressions. 'I guess to them I'm just as evil as those humans who killed my entire clan. I am no better than them.' The first couple goblins had reached me and I ran past them and started fighting the ones in the back.
The one to my right swing their fist at me but I jumped back without too much effort. The goblin behind me saw the opportunity and tried to tackle me but they screamed as they charged which alerted me before it got me. 'Idiot.' I jumped forward to attack the first goblin and swiped at its chest but it blocked with its arms, which are now heavily injured. I swiped with my other arm while still lunging forward but the goblin stepped to the left and kicked me, though it was quite weak it was enough to throw me off until the other goblin joined it.

I jumped in the air and flew at full speed at the goblins, using the same method I used on the moles. The goblin to my right with the injured arms stood no chance as I pierced its chest. The one to my left also was hit, but not fatally. It managed to move a bit before my attack landed. I landed on the ground and rolled a few feet away before getting up and resizing my opponents. Notifications were going off in my head but I kept ignoring them. Now wasn't the time to get distracted. 'If I get reckless now it'll probably be the end for me. Even if I am faster than these guys, their numbers are just too much.'
The rest of them joined the one that I had just failed to kill. 'There's still 17 left.' I Charged forward once more, letting the thrill of battle drive my thoughts away from the number of my enemies to the excitement of a good fight. I stopped in front of the three at the beginning of the group, the one I hit earlier being one of them. I feinted a stab to the injured one and finished it off with the claws on my foot. I used my wings to shoot myself forward to the other two and I managed to slice the first ones face deep but the second goblin weaved out of the way and struck me with a sloppy uppercut, my speed being too much for it to properly keep up with.

I used my wings to stop my momentum as I landed on my feet, turned around, and struck at the goblin, effectively stabbing its neck and assuring its death soon. Without realizing it, the remaining 14 goblins had surrounded me in a circle. 'An attacking skill would come in handy right now. I guess they forgot I can just fly over this circle whenever I want. At least they're trying their best though.'
I entertained their little plan until I got close to the wall of goblins, dodging the few that attacked me within the circle. I jumped in the air and flew over the circle as fast as I could landing behind the goblins. I stabbed two of them before they regained their senses and broke the circle. 'Damn these guys are persistent. My stamina won't last much longer. Just 12 more.'
I walked towards the crowd of goblins that were all ready to take my life. 'If I want to win this then I'll need to rely on counters so I don't run out of stamina.' I equipped the sword in my other hand for the added strength. The crowd of goblins charged at my slowly approaching figure. The first one struck at me with a hard right hook. I jumped to the right and stabbed it in the head with the dagger in my left hand. The next goblin tried to kick me but I blocked it with my sword before ripping out my dagger from its comrade and swiping at it with the claws on my feet. It jumped back but I didn't let up as I jumped forward and swung my sword at it. It reflexively tried to block with its arm which resulted in it having one less arm.
'10 more.'
