Chapter 1: Tough luck
It was normal, no one would think that this day 06.02.2021 would be the effin last day of peacefull coexistance of countries but i'm getting ahead of myself so let's talk about this crappy day.
I woke up it was 7:39 am, same old gloomy day, sky covered with grey clouds. I sat down and recounted how long i didn't interact with any human other than my parents and one friend.
- Well, better start this shitty day with positivity. I said and turned on tv and switched programs to news and begun small set of exercises it took me about 3 minutes.
Presenter and some politicians was just like always talk gibberish about fake promises and dreams of grandeur totally disconnected from reality. After i was done with exercise and begun making breakfast i heard that this virus that forced my country into quarantine broke the human-animal barrier. I recalled my friend's words: "when the virus crosses human animal barrier you can start to get frightened".
- Yeah, fuck this, hmm I wonder if police catch me in time if i go on "shopping" spree. I said to myself while putting on my thermal underwear and normal clothes. After all of this i quickly made myself 2x coffee with extra caffeine and cardamom, it was the worst thing i've ever drank, but i felt surge of energy. I knew this won't last long so i searched my home for spring knife, 2 bacpacks and a bunch of basket tokens. I made a call to my uncle who had espionage training he said that this information is true and he will also go on "shopping" spree. After this call i steeled my resolve and locked my apartment, then i sprinted to local chain market.
I took out my basket tokens for as much shopping carts as possible people who saw that starting either laughing and recording on their phones or watching me with disaproving gazes. I just shrugged that off and went with all of my carts to market and started filling said carts with supplies mainly canned food, water bottles and bread after I filled everything I just tied the carts with chains from gardening section, i straightened my cargo went behind it and I just pushed it with all my might.
- Oh god I can't imagine the pain of muscles next day. Heh I also will have to see the ridiculous name of the article about my way of shopping. I said slowly dozing off from exhaustion, noticing this i did the fastest and stupidiest thing to keep myself awake. I undressed to the wist and jumped into big pile of snow. My luck during escape ended here and now because the sloth known as police surounded and arrested me.
- Tough luck shopsycho. Said one of the police officers.
- Who came up with this shitty name?!
- Media presenter just said it and evryone just went with it. Police officer shrugged.
- Aren't cha tell me that i have right to remain silent or something like that?
- Nah i'm just arresting you. Cop said as he cuffed me and push into the car.
Then for god effin reason we have seen big shroom made out of ash, radiation and remains of bomb. Yeaah, some fucken idiot just dropped nuke near a city I looked at the cop and said.
- Can you get these handcuffs off me, now? Since there was nuclear detonation that means you are just regular civilian just like me, because of the fact in the instant the bomb exploded the martial law was instigated.
- You know what? This above my pay grade, here the keys. Cop said throwing at me the keys and going into the car. He immediately bolted from the spot with screech of tires.
I looked back at the shroom and compared it with my thumb. Explosion was smaller by a little that means I'm at the border of nuclear fallout.
- Great, I need to get to my friend's house cause he has a car and he told me that his aunt has a big property which she doesn't use. I said already making plans how to get there, which stops i should make and for what kind of people i should look for.
