Chapter 6: The Name
"For a moment I really thought you were dead!" Vantner said as she hugged Akin. "Did you miss me?" Akin asked smiling.
"A little." She says.
Everyone in the suit cabin had already put on their armor, Akin was the only one who needed to protect himself now.
He put it on very quickly, preparing to leave as soon as his captain orders. "Are you feeling well, kid?" Captain Sonomott asked. "Yes... No, sir." Akin says. "My head is a little sore now. But I can do it, sir."
The Captain looks at Akin. The boy is in bad shape, his head is covered in blood, but somehow he is alive. "I will take your word for it." He says nodding his head. "Now, let's get out of here. I have a date."
The entire room was silent, everyone looking at their captain. "What? I'm a person, you know." The Captain said. "Do you really have a date?" Galeg asked curiously.
"Perhaps." He responds with a small smile.
Leaving the room, Captain Sonomott and Vantner are the first to leave. They are followed by Akin and the rest of the crew, suddenly stopping with a shout from the room in front of them.
"HELP! IS ANYONE THERE? WE HEARD AN EXPLOSION!" A male voice echoes from the room.
"We must help them." Veiggo whispered to Partia. "Yes, we must." She agrees.
"Not now." Akin says. "What do you mean, not now?" Veiggo asks him.
"What Akin means, Veiggo, is that if we get them out of the room, NOW, it will be more difficult to get help for all of us." Captain Sonomott added.
"So?" The Hal'nevv asked. "They will probably go in different directions, take different actions and f*ck everything up that we are trying to do here." Galeg says focused.
Everyone looked at the Athorian and, for a moment, even Akin was impressed. "We need to move." Captain Sonomott said. Walking towards the corridor, the 6th class stopped at seven rooms before the navigation room. They had a heavy escort, many pirates and many weapons as well. The 6th class had only two guns a few minutes ago, now, they had nine guns. They were taken from the corpses of the fallen invaders, killed by their own grenade.
The pirates were talking. In a language that the translator was unable to translate well, it was not present in its system.
* "They should be here by now" * The Jammonian pirate told another. * "Didn't you hear the explosion? It will take a while. Thanks to Pilant'rr, this ship is covered with Kannium or we would all be dead by now." * The Gambann pirate told the other.
"Did you understand anything they said?" Partia asked. "Wait!" Akin said.
* "Do you think Hamuswan will be there?" * Jammonian asked. * "Definitely not. They never show their faces. We don't even know who they are." * The other pirate replied. * "I'm not complaining, however. They helped us with many ship thefts." *
* "I didn't understand that. They always help us steal ships, but this time, they asked us to steal data? Just data? It doesn't make sense." * The other pirate says. * "And you think I know? Let them do what they want. This thing must be important, even Captain Primo is concerned about it." * The Gambann replied.
* "YOU TWO!" * A harsh male voice resounded beside them. * "Less talk, more work." *
* "Yes, Vice-Captain Le'ko!" * Both responded at the same time.
"So, did you get anything from them?" Partia asked again. "Nothing." Veiggo answered. "Me neither." Vantner added shaking her head.
"I got a little." Akin said. "What did you get, Akin?" Captain Sonomott asked curiously.
"Well, this is a completely new language. They probably use it so they can't be tracked. But ..." He says. "But? ..." Avey asked. "They have some words derived from other languages. The main one is Tran'n Blist." "I never heard of that, kid." Captain Sonomott said frowning.
"And you would never hear about it. Tran'n Blist is a language used by ancient species from the Unexplored Sector, especially Kamosts." Akin replied. "Well, that explains why I could only understand the word ship. Where did you learn it, kid?" The Captain asked. "There was a girl from the Unexplored Sector at my school. Nobody spoke to her because it was very difficult to learn her language, but I tried anyway." He said. "By the way, I'm not fluent. I only know a few words." "It's good enough, Akin." The Captain said.
"So, what do they want?" The Captain asked. "It looks like they're here for data on the ship." He replied. "What?" The Captain says confused. "We are on a student transport, what kind of information do they want? Your names, perhaps?" "It seems not, sir." Akin replied. "They mentioned another name."
"What name?" Captain Sonomott asked apprehensively.
"Hamuswan."
