Chapter 1: Awakening from darkness.

It was dark, very dark.

I was once someone, who I was or what I was I can't remember. The little that I can remember is holding hands, which I don't know of whom it was, but it had a very soft and warm feeling. We walked down an alleyway, as to why we were walking, I don't know, what I know is that I had happiness in my heart.

We continued walking for a while when suddenly, our hands broke apart. Before I could look back, a sharp pain pierced my chest, dropping me to the ground instantly. As my consciousness was fading and my senses were failing, a laugh could be heard. A malicious laugh, but pleasing nonetheless.

A cold feeling permeated through my body. I tried to do something, anything... But failed. I was stuck in my mind, in a vast ocean of thoughts and dying memories. I felt angry and depressed, but those feelings drifted away with time, memories of myself blended and were eventually erased.

It took me a while to understand where I was.

I was in limbo, slowly becoming one with the darkness that surrounded me.

If I didn't want to disappear I had to preserve what little of me remained by constantly thinking and conversing with myself, as well as preserving my last memory.

And so, a lot of time past

As if millennia had passed while I was alone.

But I never gave in to the void, always thinking and always remembering, always reliving that memory, that emotion.

Happiness

_____________________________________________

It was as if I was born again

Without any ceremony, I was out of the void. An instantaneous feeling of relief, gratification, and joy roared in my mind. After so long could sense again, I relived that sensation as I felt my body surrounded by some kind of liquid.

Suddenly, I heard loud noises of machinery and I fell to the ground.

My eyes slowly opened, revealing a blinding white light. It might be because of the untold time I spent in the dark, but it took me a while to see again. When I was finally able to see, I promptly scanned the room I was in, revealing a spacious bedroom with a single bed, a mirror, some drawers, a door, and a big glass capsule where I was encased in with the liquid. I inspected the capsule, other than the transparent liquid, that was all over the floor after it opened, it had some joints on the top, which lifted the capsule's "door".

After that I went to the mirror, stepping on the cold white tiles along the way, as I stood in front of the mirror, it revealed a stunning character, a boy with brown skin, grey hair, and azure eyes.

It was the first time I saw myself in a long, long time. Or was it? Although I couldn't remember what I looked like, I had a feeling it wasn't like this. there were some folded clothes on top of the drawer that looked like a military uniform, they had been recently ironed, and still had some warmth in them.

As I was walking to the door after wearing the clothes I once again looked at the mirror.

-I'm different than who I was. Maybe I'm not even in the same place I lived before. Perhaps that didn't even happen, just a glimmer from what could have been... No, I know it happened, otherwise I wouldn't have felt it. If it didn't happen, I couldn't know happiness.

As I exited the room, I found myself in a much larger one. The room had another door to the front, a panel full of buttons, a big table at the center of the room, and a big window just above the panel, which gave view to a star-filled stretch of nothingness.

-Such an interesting place I found myself in.

I scanned the room even further, revealing a very particular thing, it was a semicircular capsule, attached to the wall. It was different than mine, as it was clouded and I couldn't see inside.

As I approached the capsule, it slowly started to open, releasing the smoke cloud from inside. And from the smoke, I saw a spectacular event happening.

After so long, so much time alone.

I finally had someone to spend time with.

As the smoke faded away it revealed a girl with red hair, golden eyes, pale skin... and wearing maid clothes.

-Greetings Master.

The girl greeted me as confusion and slight irritation built up in my mind.
