Chapter 70: Another deal

Anna woke up with a terrible headache. She could feel the pounding of a huge hammer inside it, her skull was close to getting a crack.

Groaning, she threw the covers over her head.

"Sleep." She mumbled to no one in particular.

Suddenly smelling the waft of newly cooked pancakes, Anna's eyes flashed open. In an instant she was out of bed and stopped short at her ajar door.

Completely forgetting about the headache, Anna rushed to her kitchen and paused by the entryway.

"You." She managed to say, catching Kristofer's attention in an instant.

With a smirk on his face, Kristofer Almodiel slowly turned and faced Anna. Her disheveled hair and crumpled clothing reminded him of what went down last night.

"Good morning, sunshine."

Anna ignored the greeting and slowly walked towards Kristofer.

"What are you doing here?"

Kristofer chuckled.

"I knew you'd ask that. You don't remember what happened last night, did you?"
