Ranks
This is just additional information that could help you better understand the story, it's basically the different ranks of swordsmen, knights, mages and assassins. I will also be including brief information on the kingdoms and characters. For the different ranks I will also provide examples (from the characters that have already been used so far in the novel). I plan on updating this every time new content is added.

Characters:
Sleph Ferrum: One of the strongest swordsmen in the north (Peak Grand Swordsmen), he is also a duke of the Avernus Kingdom and is a war hero admired by the entire kingdom. He has three students that he took in and taught in the ways of the sword: Arnold, Gordon and Yorg. Sleph appears to be a cold man yet he is warm when he is with his brother the king. And shows slight affection towards his students albeit little.
Fenrir Avernus: Appearing to be cold, cruel and ambitious. He is the King of the Avernus Kingdom and he wants to make the Avernus Kingdom into the Avernus Empire. He is speculated to be a good fighter (high to peak tier) and he is the sworn brother of Sleph Ferrum, the Duke of the Avernus Kingdom. Fenrir was nearly assassinated as a young boy when he was Crown Prince and was visiting a neighbouring country.
Kingdoms:
Avernus Kingdom: The strongest kingdom in the north and home to one of the strongest swordsman of the north -Sleph Ferrum-. The kingdom has been growing its territories and waging wars on it's neighbouring kingdoms, this is due to King Fenrir's ambition to turn the kingdom into a empire.
Nordalen Kingdom: A kingdom neighbouring the Avernus Kingdom who's military might is strong albeit being weaker than the Avernus Kingdom by a level. The Nordalen Kingdom has three Great Swordsmen (that have been seen so far). After Sleph Ferrum defeated all of Nordalen's strongest swordsmen and large portions of their army, they will be soon engulfed into the Avernus Kingdom's growing territory.
(Neighbouring Kingdom that young Crown Prince Fenrir visited): A kingdom that bordered the Avernus Kingdom and had 'good' relations with the Avernus Kingdom. Soon after Fenrir crossed the border a group of unknown assailants attempted to assassinate him but by some divine intervention Fenrir managed to escape and eventually ended up growing to become the Avernus Kingdom's king.
