Zeng ge, please be alright, the voice in his mind said on a repeat as he was bombarded with the thoughts of the worst possible scenarios at the same time.

When he reached the Emergency ward, his feet slowed down and his blood ran cold.

The glass from a nearby window was shattered on the floor onto a million pieces, some of the pieces staining red. Furniture for the sitting of the patient's relatives was broken and thrown around. There was blood, clear evidence of violence scattered everywhere.

Two policemen were noting statements of the eyewitnesses.

Yul's heart stopped. He was praying, he was praying that whatever horrible situation he was imagining was not true. He slowly walked to the closest room whose door was left ajar. He could hear faint voices from inside but was unable to comprehend as a pulse was pounding in his ears.
