Chapter 14: Thousand World Qi Manipulation
Sitting on his bed in a lotus position was Lester, as on his glabella the marquise gem glowed with a faint purple light. Lester was currently trying to understand the [Thousand World Qi Manipulation Manual] to a greater extent, whilst using his memories to understand a little more of the process as well the dangers of cultivating this manual.
Lester chose to cultivate this manual, simply due to the fact that he possessed the memories of a powerful being and this was how that powerful being built his foundation. If Lester was able to also build his foundation in the same way, maybe he would be able to not only become stronger but also use the future techniques of this, "Black Fiend".
What made this manual different from the others within his memories, was the fact that it possessed a little of everything. Initially, the cultivator was required to manipulate the World Qi and create certain formation circles around the core. These formations would become a gate of sorts where World Qi could enter the core, with ease and little to no contamination. Many cultivation techniques were detrimental to the future of the cultivator as the way they stored the World Qi within the core would cause the World Qi to not be as pure as it should, therefore later causing problems when executing certain techniques or trying to break through higher stages.
What was even better about this cultivation manual was the fact that there were plenty of techniques both defensively or offensively that could be learned and achieved through cultivating this manual. Lester was fully aware of the fact that cultivation books were hard to come by, and cultivation books that also possess techniques were even harder.
The [Thousand World Qi Manipulation Manual] Allowed the user to manipulate World Qi so that they could create whatever was in their mind with it. Normally this feat was extremely difficult as World Qi was not only difficult to manipulate, but to manipulate it into anything you want was quite a shock to Lester. There were five manipulations that the owner of the memories began with called, 'World Qi Defence Layers', 'World Qi Tentacles', 'World Qi Senses', 'World Qi True Sense', 'World Qi Bomb'.
Lester decided to begin with the 'World Qi Defence Layers' which required Lester to create a specific formation on his core that would allow him to not only cultivate slightly faster but also manipulate the World Qi to surround his body like a layer of defense. The best part about this was that you could stack layers on top of each other to make the defense stronger.
Understanding these things Lester decided to begin. He changed his focus towards his soul space and slowly began to manipulate the World Qi that was approaching his core into certain small patterns and shapes.
Time passes and a week goes by, with Lester still focusing on creating the first formation on his core. As he sat on the bed, he slowly opened his eyes as he had finally succeeded in finishing the formation on his core. Within his soul space was his core, with a faint formation branded on its side.
Lester was once again exhausted but his face betrayed this feeling of fatigue. His lips were smiling from ear to ear as he had actually completed the formation.
Lester looked around as he eventually got up from his bed and walked outside. To his surprise, Patrick was nowhere to be seen. "Maybe he is outside?" Lester thought as he was about to exit the cabin. The sun was setting so Patrick had to be nearby.
As Lester looked outside his eyes opened wide, as he had finally understood what was going on. One of the requirements of the cultivation book given by Lester to Patrick was that it should be practiced either on sand or dirt. Therefore, the scene Lester was witnessing wasn't as surprising as he initially thought. Patrick had dug himself a hile near the cabin, with a shovel from the tool shed, as he diligently cultivated.
Lester closes the door and goes back in. After the week of cultivation, he was famished and dirty so after taking a shower he made sure to fill himself up with whatever he could find in his fridge.
After doing so, Lester attempted to cultivate once more, and to his surprise, cultivating was indeed slightly faster, and the cloud of World Qi that was entering his core through the formation looked much more transparent than the World Qi outside of the core. Lester smiles slightly as he is ready to grow in power!
