Chapter 85: Aannie Smith
A dark green jeep entered and stopped in front of the main door of Smith Manor. The car's metal door opened, and a well-built figure appeared, with short bob hair and black clothes. Her footsteps were firm, and her hands were in the pockets of her pants.
"Welcome home for the young miss. The master and madam are already in the north garden, waiting for the young miss to arrive." greet someone in a black butler outfit. He is a butler at Smith Manor and has worked since Papa Smith was two years old. Beside him stood someone who looked much younger, his grandson who would replace him as the butler.
The young miss just nodded her head and walked towards the garden the butler referred to.
Grandpa Smith and Papa Smith were sitting in the bungalow in the garden playing chess. While their wives are busy with the plants and occasionally enjoy talking, it appeared much contradiction with their husbands' serious atmosphere.
Mama Smith heard footsteps approaching them and turned her body to find her daughter, who rarely came home.
"Sweety Aannie! Welcome home, my dear." Welcomed Mama Smith warmly while hugging her daughter tightly and kissing her cheeks. Hearing Mama Smith's cheerful voice, other members of the Smith family noticed their special guest. They greeted the eldest daughter of the Smith family with full of kisses and tight hugs.
Steven Smith, Grandpa Smith, has three sons with Alice Brie, Grandma Smith. Since they were young, the couple, who had been married for more than fifty years, wanted a daughter in their family so badly. However, the old Smith couple could not fulfill their wish, and they hoped to get a granddaughter.
Adam Smith, aka Papa Smith, the eldest son of the old Smith couple, had Aaron as their first child with Mama Smith, Marie Taylor. Samuel Smith, the second brother of Papa Smith, after the marriage, had twin sons. Meanwhile, Grandpa and Grandma Smith's youngest son and daughter-in-law had pregnancy problems for almost six years after their wedding.
Grandpa and Grandma Smith had to swallow the bitterness in their hearts after discovering that their two children had sons. Of course, Grandpa and Grandma Smith still love and cherish their grandchildren with all their hearts. However, it would bring even more happiness for them if little girls were running around there in the great Smith Manor.
No longer having hopes of those dreams and desires, Grandpa and Grandma Smith were surprised by their eldest son and daughter-in-law when they gave birth to a baby girl, Aannie Smith.
After the Smith family's eldest misses was born, she was flooded with affection from the entire family. From food, clothing, games to all her wishes, the Smith member will obediently fulfill it.
Even more than twenty years have passed, but this old couple always remembers the happiness they felt at that time when they saw the baby girl sleeping in the nursery.
