Chapter 4: Refined a Pill!
Lucifer went towards the city in search of a pharmacy to buy a cauldron he can use to refine a pill to make it easier to purify the foreign Qi of all its impurities and avoid damaging his cultivation foundation.
As he was walking through the city people couldn't help but stare at him with various thoughts running through their minds.
Imagine seeing an extremely handsome teenager, in a black tuxedo, an earpiece and carrying a briefcase. People couldn't look away from him as he looks was too incredible, thus many murmurs could be heard among the crowd.
"O my God! How can he be so HOT?!!!."
"Do you think that he is a supermodel?."
"Do you think he already has a girlfriend?"
Lucifer overheard everything everybody said, but he ignored them as he was already used to it, as he kept searching for a pharmacy.
Only after searching for a few minutes of not finding anything he gave up and decide to ask someone for directions.
"Excuse me, sir, but could you perhaps tell me where I can find a pharmacy."
"Uh… Oh... Yeah... The nearest pharmacy is a ten-minute walk from here. It is in Jordan street but you can't miss it as it is the smallest building on that entire street."
The man said as he scratched the back of his head, but Lucifer didn't care as he said his thanks before taking his leave. He went to a secluded area and only after making sure that it's safe, did he began circulating his Qi and making his way towards the pharmacy.
He had to check his surroundings before using his Qi because high levelled experts can sense the Qi fluctuations in the air, which will put him in a dangerous position if he did anything that will attract their attention.
In under a minute he stood in front of a building considerably smaller than those surrounding it, with a sign that reads, 'Elizabeth's Traditional Medicine.' Looking at the building and seeing that it was as the man described it, he knew he was in the right place.
He stepped into the store and was astonished at how small, about 20 square meters, the shop is with only a few shelves to display the pills, herbs, and cauldrons it had. Behind the counter he saw a beautiful girl that was leaning on her right arm as she was reading a book, therefore she didn't notice him enter. She seemed to be eighteen years old, with waist-long orange hair tied in a ponytail, sharp eyebrows that sat on top of beautiful violet-coloured eyes. Her eyebrows made her seem like a cold and detached person. The thing that amazed him the most was that this girl was in the late stage of the Qi Warrior realm at the age of eighteen.
'What talent!'
Perhaps sensing his gaze, the beauty in question, looked up at Lucifer but she was also astonished at how handsome the teenager, that looked to be a young adult, was. Though what astounded her the most was that he entered the building without her discovering his presence. Yes, she was reading a book but she had extremely sensitive senses. Intrigued, she kept observing him, that didn't seem to bother Lucifer as he looked through the items that were on the display shelves, one item at a time. The more he checked, the more astonished he became.
'What is this? Every herb and pill is at the middle grade and higher, even the cauldrons are Human peak ranked artefacts, but they are just casually displayed on the shelves as if they are common items. Let's just buy any cauldron at peak human tier with the money I found in my storage ring, which I got from 'my' jacket's pocket.'
Deciding on what to do, he walked towards the cauldrons, still under the watchful gaze of the store clerk. In front of the cauldrons he just randomly picked a cauldron, because he knew they were all essentially the same, yet the clerk just shook her head and mistook his actions as someone that doesn't know anything, thus she just continued reading her book and not bothering with him anymore. Shrugging at her reaction, he just went towards the counter and placed it on top of it, waiting for the clerk to tell him the price.
"One-hundred gold coins."
A sweet melodious voice rang out from the girl that would turn any man's legs into jelly, but Lucifer has seen many women in his life, some of which were much more beautiful and seductive than her, therefore it didn't work on him. He just nodded his head and took a hundred gold coins from the stack of thousands of gold coins inside 'his' storage ring. He moved one-hundred gold coins into a sack and gave it to the girl, but as she never looked up she didn't see him doing that.
"Thanks for your patronage."
Taking the cauldron and sticking it inside his storage ring, he stepped out of the store and walked across from it towards the hotel, and booked himself a room.

Meanwhile, inside the store, after Lucifer left, the girl at the counter was looking at the bag of gold coins with an incredulous look.
"How does he have a storage ring? Is he perhaps from an ancient clan? If he is, what does he want at the store? I must report this to the master as quickly as possible. "
She said as she picked up a talisman from under the counter.

Inside Lucifer's hotel room he rented, you couldn't see him anywhere, as he sealed himself inside his bedroom, immersing himself in the pill refinement process. It was as though he was in an ethereal state as he focused solely on the ingredients and the temperature of the fire, and nothing else mattered to him besides it.
After a day passed, Lucifer was smiling from ear to ear as he looked towards the cauldron where the pill was near completion. What he didn't expect was the moment the pill furnished an explosion in the surrounding Qi happened as it rushed towards the direction of the cauldron to form the pill.
'Shit! Why did this happen?'
The thing he was most afraid of has happened. He accidentally exposed himself and he knew other experts will rush in his direction to see what happened.
Grabbing the cauldron and storing it, he rushed towards the front door intending to leave the area, however, he was already too late as it exploded into a million tiny fragments with a figure blocking his way.
*Boom*

A little while earlier at the shop, a beautiful woman in her twenties was standing in front of the store clerk from the day before where Lucifer bought his cauldron.
"So you are telling me that this young man had a storage ring? If that is the truth, then this will be troublesome. What is his goal, or rather what is the clan's goal for him to appear here? Rose, I want you to-"
Before she could finish her words, she felt an explosion in the Qi inside the surrounding area. Feeling the amount of Qi rushing towards the direction of the hotel across the street, even she was a bit surprised. Slightly narrowing her eyes, she immediately disappeared from her position without the use of any Qi as she relied purely on her physical prowess to disappear from the room. Rose stood there with a confused expression as she watched her master disappearing.
Rose's master arrived in front of Lucifer's room in a second before she kicked it inwards with a loud blast that sends the fragments of the door scattering everywhere.

Lucifer was staring at the drop-dead gorgeous woman that seemed to be in her twenties, that was standing in front of his doorway. He didn't have time to admire her beauty as he was a little stressed out since the woman in front of him is already in the Qi Emperor realm. There is no way to escape from her and he knew it, thus he needed to get out of this situation any wat he could.
As Lucifer was staring at her, the woman was also staring curiously at the jaw-droppingly handsome youth in front of her. Even she was finding it difficult to hide her blushing face, but she calmed herself down as she has an image to keep intact.
"What did you do that caused the surrounding Qi to head towards you so rapidly?"
"…"
Lucifer didn't want to answer, but he knew he had to, otherwise, the woman in front of him will just kill him.
"I refined a pill."
Hearing his blunt answer shocked the woman, making her release a slight chuckle.
Suddenly the expression of both Lucifer and the woman changed. Lucifer felt someone entering his soul power's range with enmity aimed at him. The woman felt the change in Qi fluctuations the person was making by charging here.
Lucifer wanted to speak and make a deal with the woman but he didn't want to be too hasty as he saw she had a thoughtful look whilst she was staring at him.
"Why don't you accept me as your master, then I will protect you. All you have to do is make some pills for my shop."
Seeing his hesitant look she said.
"You may not know it, but there is someone on his way here that will kill you without asking any questions."
"…"
Lucifer made a thoughtful expression, but on the inside, he was screaming bloody murder as he felt the person approaching rapidly, but he still said calmly.
"I can't accept you as my master, but what about an elder sister? "
"…"
"Hahahahaha!"
The woman couldn't contain her laughter at what he said, which destroyed any image she was trying to keep.
"Very well, from this day forth I, Elizabeth Woods, shall be your elder sister. All you have to do is just sit back and watch as this elder sister protects you."
Elizabeth suddenly appeared beside him and they both disappeared from the room, just in time because the room exploded shortly afterwards.
Inside the room, Lucifer and Elizabeth were just in there stood a man in his forties with slick back black hair and a massive scar over his left eye.
"It seems the little rat has escaped. It doesn't matter I will catch you next time. Hahahaha!"
The man burst out laughing before he disappeared from the room.
