Chapter 2: CHAPTER - 2
After alen opened his eyes, he checked his surroundings. All he saw was forest and he heard some distant sounds of fighting. He tried set his posture in sitting position, but he felt pain all over his body. He immediately checked his body, found injuries all over his body and freshly closed gaping hole in his chest. He understood that the previous owner of this body was probably died by that fatal injury.
'The recovery of the body (my body now) must be included in the package of reincarnation.' His body recovered to optimal state in very few minutes. There were no bruises on his body even either after that.
Even though he felt little bit of pain, he stood up and moved his body parts to feel whether it was real or illusion. Within minutes, he was free of pain. He picked up the sword which was near him and swung it. It was heavy, but he made some casual moves to feel the sword flow and its interaction zone.
The sounds of battling were still heard but faintly. Maybe they were at the end of fight. That is why, he prepared himself in case of unexpected situations.
Suddenly, he felt that his brain was filled to brim with tonnes of memory, it was same sensation like in that transition space. He recovered himself quickly than the previous event. He got gist of the previous owner situation with in a short period of memory search.
His name was Yong. There was no surname to him as he was all alone in the present world. He was level 2 of elementary stage and working as guard in the floating cloud city. He was killed by elementary profound beast as he was protecting his employer.
'What a poor soul! I will take care of your body from now on.' He thought while moving towards the battle zone with slow and silent steps.
There were other body guards to protect Tang Merchant (his employer). So, he was expecting them to be alive and the beast as a corpse. But, if the reverse were to happen he must flee.
When he came near the battle zone, he saw dead beast and few people around it. Alen sighed a relief and moved towards them while limping along the way. He prepared an explanation for his revival. They noticed him even before he came as he was making enough noise to make them aware.
Wang: "YONG! H-How… Are you okay?" Wang named guy came towards alen and moved him towards the shade.
According to Yong memories (ATM); Wang was one of the guards who was working along with Yong and others under Tang merchant. He was on good terms with Yong. So, Yong also maintained the same.
Yong: "I'm alive and good. Even though I have suffered internal injuries, but the last attack of the beast is mostly impacted on the inner metal armour and I also diverted its impact at the last moment. So, I'm good to go another round." Alen spoked the last words while laughing, resulting Wang to do the same.
ATM; He was very cautious guy as he always stuffed himself with very heavy metal armours and everyone knows about that. So, he does not need to provide further explanation about armour.
'Even though my explanation is bit cinematic. It probably works well in this fantasy world.'
After dissecting the beast and processing the same. They picked up the meaty baggage on their horses and moved towards the floating cloud city. The beast meat and core were of Tang Merchant.
While on the ride to city, Alen remembered that he does not know the most important aspect he needed to know – 'Timeline'
'Sh!t! I forget to ask that entity about the timeline I would be reincarnating. Maybe I will know about it by gathering the information.'
Another important aspect; He does not have tiny bit of cultivation right now.
'I have to tread carefully until I improve my cultivation base. ATM; Yong used to live in a small house. It was located at the remote region of the city. So, it will be good enough for cultivation for now.'
It was still bright when they arrived at the city. The city was resembling of medieval era and the people were dressed in medieval eastern style. The city streets were bustling with people as it was evening time.
Alen and his group arrived at Tang merchant place and alen asked the merchant for early payment of monthly wages. That merchant provided him with some extra gold for his medical expenses.
'It is better to save this money as I do not know when I require it.' Actually, he wanted to go around the city to relieve the burden from his mind as the loss of his family and every grievance was in his mind, but the image of beast and the memories of Yong made it clear that Strength was very essential in that world. Any careless or mishap may lead him to grave. So, he decided to go Yong's house.
Alen moved through the streets gloomily according to Yong memories and arrived at his destination. When he entered the house, it was almost empty and there were no one to greet him. Immediately, his previous life memories came to his mind; His mother's love, father's serious face, sister's teasing and brother's assurance. He lost all of it.
Tears started falling down from his cheeks, sounds of sobbing can be heard and it finally turned into wailing. Like a busted dam, tears flowed, and he wept like a child.
It continued for some time until his emotions cooled down. He restored himself after remembering that his family was living well as their memories were altered. Death was an option for him, as the reincarnation cycle may repeat again for his misdeeds in the previous life.
After sorting out his thoughts, Alen gone through everything in the house and positioned the things in his accord. He ate the meat jerkies, which were prepared by previous Yong and left in leather sack.
He settled himself in the corner of the room after eating. He thought about the two wishes he asked the entity. Immediately, he received all the information about the techniques he requested. The amount of information was not much when compared to his memories, which were two life time's worth.
He started memorizing the cultivation technique for some time and began to perceive the strange thing called 'Mana'. May be as the body was already used to Mana or he was blessed by Entity, he quickly perceived the Mana. He led the Mana according to the techniques around his veins.
When he completed one round trip through his veins, he felt that some restrains were removed from his body and he was feeling weightless and powerful at the same time. It was a miraculous event.
'Hooo! This is what it feels like to be powerful!' Alen was very overjoyed due to increase in his strength.
'This might be Level 1 of Elementary Profound Stage.' Even though he does not know it exactly, he felt like that through his senses and with the help of past memories of Yong and the cultivation technique.
He started cultivating again after a brief amount of joy. He was very eager after experiencing the glimpse of cultivation world.

He stopped cultivating when he broke through 7th level. There was a slight discomfort in his body as he was not accustomed to cultivation. So, he wanted to practice battle techniques to accustom to his power levels.
It was already a few hours past dusk when he finished his cultivation. So, he briefly practiced fist and movement technique. While practicing he slowly got the hang of it. His body started responding to his commands exactly, without any delays.
He was feeling tired and sleepy due to continuous travel from the morning, remaining composed and alert with all the strange situations and at last the training he went through. He felt energetic and all powerful when his cultivation level increased but the mental strain on his body was way heavier than his happiness.
He initially wanted to go around the streets to gather any pieces of information he can get but he was unable right now. So, he moved towards the bed and laid down on it.
'I was died on the earth – Met an Entity (Probably God Right?!) – Given a chance to Reincarnate and Three Wishes – And I reincarnated in Against the Gods Universe.'
'Against the Gods ah? I don't remember the plotline exactly but I know the important events in that novel. I should at least use those events according to my interest.'
'Before I decide as to what I have to do, I have to know which timeline am reincarnated in or else my plans result in failure. Tomorrow, I will plan everything.'
After sorting out his thoughts, he slept quickly as he was very tired and heart broken. At least sleep will provide him some comfort in this unknown world.

Alen woke up from his sleep, when he heard some sounds of commotion on the streets. He slowly sat up on his bed and adjusted his clothes. After a bit of freshening up, he came out. What he saw was, people dressed in different kinds moving towards the city.
Immediately, alen moved towards random person and asked what all the commotion was about. That person looked at alen as if he was animal in a zoo. Alen did not understand what was that for. So, he asked again.
Alen: "Fellow brother, I was out of city for some weeks. So, can you explain what is going on?" He spoke to that stranger as if he was his real brother with some extra smile.
Stranger: "Ooh! That explains why you are so ignorant. Today is the day of Engagement of the Floating Cloud City's Greatest Treasure with the Floating Cloud City's Worst Trash."
Alen: "Floating Cloud City's Greatest Treasure? Floating Cloud City's Worst Trash?" Question marks were all over Alen's face.
Stranger: "A-are you seriously only away for some weeks? Man! You must be hiding in some rat's hole to not know about Treasure of Floating Cloud City."
Alen was still in his earth mode. So, his thoughts were not aligning with novel's perspective.
Later that stranger revealed it was engagement of Xiao Che and Xia Qingyue.
'Ah! What a shame to my Otaku Life! I came to ATG World and forgot both Male Lead & Female Lead.'
'So, I'm at the start of series. Then I have sufficient time to grow.'
He quickly followed the crowd, which were going towards the Xiao Clan Mansion. There were many people and the beauty of the people in this world was something else compared to earthlings; they were like saplings compared to these guys.
Alen quickly went to front, where Xiao Che and Xia Qingyue were came out of carriage.
It was almost noon. The soft sunshine reflected against her phoenix coronet while her robe charmingly glittered against the breeze making one's eyes blur if they look too long. Her hair was wrapped up high into a bun on top of her head and the phoenix coronet that framed her head was that of four layers. The top layer was adorned with fine golden hairpins while the bottom had several golden phoenix engravings. The satin red golden phoenix coronet extended into a fringe of swaying pearl tassels. Although her face was not laid bare, with her eyes and lips partly hidden yet partly exposed, her beauty was exquisitely flawless.

'She is beautiful' These were thoughts of Alen after seeing her. Even though she was extra-ordinarily beautiful, alen has no thoughts of conquering her…. for now.
As for Yun Che, he was same it was described in novel. So, alen did not bothered about it and went around the city after watching the Engagement.
'I have plan carefully from now. I want to have family but not some s*x slaves like Yun Che did.'
