Chapter 2: Red vs Blue
Previously in Pokemon World: Evolution...
Professor Oak asks Red to deliver a Pokedex to the Professors in other regions. Red accepts the Professor's request and begins his journey to the Johto Region to meet Professor Elm with Charizard and his younger sister Leaf.
Location: Route 01, Kanto Region
Red and Leaf are on their way to Viridian City. On the way, Leaf felt a little bored because his brother didn't talk to her at all.
"(So bored! Big Brother didn't say a word to me. What should I do? Asking him also couldn't make him talk)" thought Leaf.
After thinking for a long time, Leaf finally got the idea to get rid of his boredom during the trip.
"Big Brother! Give me the Pokedex! I want to try it on my Pokemon!" Leaf asks Red to give Professor Oak's Pokedex to her.
Without thinking, Red takes out the Pokedex and gives it to Leaf.
"Okay, come out! Bulbasaur!" Leaf summons his Pokemon out of the Pokeball.
*Poof*
"Bulba!" Bulbasaur was very happy that Leaf called him out.
"Let's try this Pokedex on you, Bulbasaur." Leaf pointed the Pokedex camera at Bulbasaur to check the data of it.
'Bulbasaur, a Seed Pokemon. Grass and Poison-type. While it's young, it uses the nutrients that are stored in the seed on its back in order to grow,' data about the Bulbasaur from Pokedex.
"Wow! Cool!" Leaf was very impressed with the tool.
Along the way, Leaf played the Pokedex and tried various applications in it until they finally saw Viridian City not far ahead of them.
"Big Brother, let's race there!" Leaf starts running towards Viridian City leaving Red behind.
"Bulba!" Bulbasaur ran with Leaf.
Red finally chases Leaf and Bulbasaur from behind.
Location: Viridian City, Kanto Region
Red and Leaf ran until they finally arrived at Viridian City. However, Leaf who was too excited to run accidentally bumped into someone in front of her.
*Bam*
"Aaah!" Leaf bumped into someone in front of him as she ran.
"Are you alright?" asked a man she hit.
"Sorry, I accidentally-" said Leaf before she was surprised to see the person she bumps into.
"It's been a while since we've seen each other, Leaf," said the man.
"Blue! Long time no see!" Leaf hugged the man named Blue.
Red comes over to Leaf and Blue.
"Red! You here too? What are you doing here?" Blue asks, surprised to see Red.
"Professor asked us to deliver something to other professors in each region," Leaf replied, showing the Pokedex to Blue.
"Pokedex? Grandfather asked you to deliver this Pokedex?" Blue was surprised at the request from Professor Oak, his grandfather.
Red immediately grabs the Pokedex and drags Leaf away leaving Blue.
"Hey! Big Brother! Let me go! What are you doing?!" said Leaf when he was dragged away by Red.
'(Hmm... to exchange research data, grandfather has never done this kind of troublesome thing. This one grandfather's request is too weird)' Blue was surprised at his grandfather's request.
"Big Brother! Let me go!" Leaf tries to free herself from Red's drag.
"Hey! Red!" exclaims Blue, called Red.
Red looks at Blue.
"Let's have a Pokemon Battle! If you lose, you must let me come with you. And if you win, you can ask me something." Blue challenges Red to a Pokemon Battle.
"Pokemon Battle?! Of course! Big Brother will accept your challenge, Blue." Leaf answers Blue's challenge to Red.
"Is it true? I think Red will likely refuse it," Blue encourages Red with his words.
Having no other choice, Red accepts Blue's challenge. They are looking for a Pokemon Center to use the battlefield there. When they get there, Red immediately calls Charizard out.
*Poof*
*Roar*
Charizard roars to indicate he is ready to fight alongside Red.
"I don't want to lose either! Come out! Blastoise!" Blue summons Blastoise out of his Pokeball.
*Poof*
"Blaaassst!" Blastoise is also ready to fight alongside Blue.
"Blastoise! Charizard! You can do it!" Leaf encouraged them from the edge of the battlefield.
"Bulba!" Bulbasaur also cheered them on.
"Okay, let's get started! Blastoise, Hydro Cannon! " Blue starts attacking.
*Burst*
A torrent of water shot out from the cannon on Blastoise's back.
"Blast!" Blastoise is on the attack.
*Roar*
Charizard dodged Blastoise's attack and flew into the sky.
"Blastoise, don't let him escape!" said Blue.
"Blast!" Blastoise obeyed Blue's orders and started pointing his cannon at the sky to attack Charizard.
Red signals for Charizard to counterattack Blastoise.
*Roar*
*Burst*
Blastoise attacked with a Hydro Cannon and Charizard blocked it with his Flamethrower.
"Nice one!" said Blue.
'Charizard, a Flame Pokemon. Fire and Flying-type. Its wings can carry this Pokemon close to an altitude of 4,600 feet. It blows out fire at very high temperatures. Blastoise, a Shellfish Pokemon. Water-type. The rocket cannons on its shell fire jets of water capable of punching holes through thick steel.' data about the Charizard and Blastoise from Pokedex.
"Wow, those two are very strong Pokemon. What's more, Big Brother and also Blue trained them to become even stronger. I don't know who will win this match," muttered Leaf, who was stunned to see his brother and Blue's fight.
"It's been a long time since we fought like this. But you seem to have forgotten, Blastoise didn't just spout water from its cannons. Use Flash Cannon!" Blue told Blastoise to use his other move.
*Beam*
"Blast!" Blastoise uses his move, Flash Cannon.
Instantly Red tells Charizard to use his move too.
*Roar*
Charizard used his move.
"This move..." Blue was surprised at the move Charizard was using.
'Dragon Pulse, a Dragon-type move. The target is attacked with a shock wave generated by the user's gaping mouth.' data about the Dragon Pulse move from Pokedex.
*Boom*
The two moves from Blastoise and Charizard collided with each other creating a pretty strong explosion.
"Aaah!" Leaf was shocked by the effect the explosion had.
"How is the result?" Blue tries to look at the state of the field to see the winner of the fight.
Little by little, the smoke generated from the explosion just started to dissipate and revealed Blastoise and Charizard's state in the middle of the field.
"Blastoise!" Blue walked over to Blastoise who was lying in the middle of the field.
On the other side of the field, Red is also seen helping Charizard who is also lying in the middle of the field.
"This fight has ended in a draw," said Leaf.
The fierce battle between Red and Blue ends in a draw.
