Chapter 51: Chapter 51 Straight to the Boss room
" Crap , I think she found out " , Gilliard said staring at the frowning guild leader .
" It will seem you no longer have respect for me Gilliard , you tried to take a member of my guild during a mission , that's an indirect slap to my name " , Eleanor said while adding more pressure in the room .
Gilliard felt it harder to breathe with each word that she spoke .
" N... no it's not like that your grace , I was only letting him know that his sword techniques where lacking and if he wanted I could train him " , Gilliard tried to explain under the constant pressure .
" Oh , so are you saying that my guild lack the necessary training to improve the sword techniques of its members? " , Eleanor asked will increasing the pressure .
" Need I remind you of the rules governing a guild and its members , under no circumstances should any external force or the kingdom try to poach it's members as long as it submits 30 % of it's finance to the royal family , and my guild as always abided by that rule so why would an underlying of the royal family try to steal my member " , Eleanor stood up from her sit and headed towards Gilliard who felt himself involuntary falling on his knees .
He knew there was no way to talk himself out of this one , if not because he was a subodinate of the royals he would be dead by now , so he decided to just apologize and call it his wrong .
" Your Grace I realize am in the wrong , clearly I wasn't thinking straight when I made the mistake " , Gilliard said .
" I will forgive you this time on account that this was your first mistake and nothing major happened but try to influence Miles again and it will be a whole different story " , Eleanor said heading back to her sit .
While Gilliard was thanking his stars for been saved from the lioness's claws , Miles after collecting a whopping 500 gold coins as payment went back to Lilla's house , who hugged him immediately she saw him , and took of his armour before making a bath for him , after easing his sore bones by taking a long hot steamy bath , he was greeted by a buffet of food which could potentially serve a whole ten man team of gluttons , but Miles didn't falter when faced with the impossible challenge in front of him he ate as much as he could finishing a huge potion of the food before , heading of to bed and calling it a day .
The goblin mission took a whole three days with the journey to and fro to complete , and through out that time Miles hadn't rested his head on a proper bed or even had a good night's rest so his body was pretty stressed out , immediately his head touched the pillow he fell asleep.
After about 12 hours of sleep , Miles headed to the Mail office of Merveran , it had been close to a month since he left his village and his family behind and headed towards the city and honestly he would be lieing if he said he didn't miss them or he didn't think of them at times , and beside he had been gone for a while and he knew his mom and sister would be worried about him by now , so he wanted to send them a letter so they could know he was doing okay , he placed a bag filled with a hundred gold coin with the letter so they could take care of themself .
a single gold coin could feed a family of five for a whole week and was very hard to come by in a backwards area like Liegae a place where the village chief only earned a few coins of gold every month , a full 100 gold coins would instantly increase the worth of a ordinary commoner to a semi noble and would make him one of the richest if not even the richest man in the village so he knew 100 gold coin was enough .
The letter and gold coins would take at least a week to get to a backward village like Liegae due to the bad and dangerous road on the way to the village , so he knew his letter wasn't going to get there any time soon , and although he could use void jump to directly go there he didn't want to go through the trouble of explaining how he got there magically .
Heading back home Miles couldn't help but smile as he thought ' Am really starting to like my life ' .

Meanwhile in the A rank dungeon the team of adventurers had been through hell to make it to the last layer of the dungeon .
After the clash with the Minotuar like creature and it's army of magma beast , Zatiel had fainted which made the team temporarily lose its number one fighter and made them proceed with caution through the dungeon , bearing the hellish environment of the dungeon which seemed to get worst with each layer , the B rank adventurers had long since been left behind on the third layer because they where finding it hard to even move around in the third floor they knew they wouldn't be of any help in the higher floors if any case they would only be a burden , the dungeon was just to much of a nightmare for mere B rank warriors .
The group hadn't met with any monster in group of more than ten at a time so they where finding it quite easy to conquer the dungeon and had made it to the fifth and the last floor , and although the lack of a challenge in the dungeon that was always full of surprises made them always on the look out for any ambush or trap .
The team spent a whole day resting in the last floor just to ease their stressed body and luckily enough Zatiel work up on that day after been unconscious for a while .
With the B rank left behind in the third floor there where only 19 A rank warriors to conquer the last part of the dungeon , With Avrion as it's leader , Vastor as it's scout , Zatiel as it's powerhouse , Mariposa and the rest of the team as warriors they where finally ready to conquer the dungeon .
The last floor of the dungeon was several times more hotter than the third floor with most A rank warriors not been able to bare the heat without burning absurd amount of Mana to survive , the floor was so hot that even the stones in the ceiling burnt from the constant hit radiating from the floor and fell to the ground creating pool of lava while some fell directly on the warriors who thanks to Mana reinforcement was bearable .
" This dungeon was clearly not inspected properly , it is clearly at the high tier of A rank and thanks to the disadvantaged terrain that will put it at the peak of A rank , this team is barely enough to clear the dungeon " , Zatiel said waiting for Vastor to finish scouting their vicinity .
Dungeons where assessed by the amount of Mana leaking out of them which was then calculated by a device which would tell the rank of the dungeon , but it had one major flaw it could only tell the rank of the dungeon and not how high up in the rank it was , so if a dungeon was at the peak of B rank the device would only calculate it as a B rank dungeon , dungeons where strange gates in which once a person enters he would be immediately transfered into the dungeon and the gate would immediately disappear until the dungeon is conquered or someone else enters the dungeon which will temporarily open the gate before closing back , but after a lot of research where carried , it was discovered that the dungeon couldn't distinguish between living and non living things , so imagine if an explorer tied a rope to him self and the other part of the rope was held by someone outside the Dungeon even after the explorer have completely entered the dungeon the gate would still be opened thinking the rope is part of the explorers body , so an explorer would be told to explore the inside with a rope tied to himself and wouldn't be able to go far into the dungeon and would only be able to determine the type of dungeon it is and the type of creature's inside the dungeon which would be calculated to know the threat of a dungeon .
" We only have a day to clear this dungeon before all hell break lose , and am not even in top shape , am still weakened after forcefully pushing my Mana core past the S rank , am afraid some of us would die in this dungeon " , Zatiel said looking at the approaching Vastor who was heading towards the group .
" What did you find out " , Avrion asked .
" Good news and bad news , which do you want to hear fast " , Vastor asked .
" Just tell us the bad news first " , Mariposa said .
" There is a pack of Spiked beast and magma beast right in front of us numbering at least 40 " , Vastor replied .
" And the good news " , Zatiel asked .
" There is a giant door after that , I think that's the boss room " .
