Chapter 1: Journal Entry For New Souls

I am writing this down in the hopes of someone using it to have an easier time in the earlier days of their afterlife.
I was not some great scientist, doctor, or anything else for I was a humble businessman. I was not a big businessman or anything like that I owned a series of restaurants in my hometown. I only had one real hobby and that was stories of different types I was an amateur writer in my spare time and I work for various charities. So, could be considered a good person for what I did in life.
I guess if I had a major sin, I was extremely lustful for I had 8 children and had 2 wives at the same time. Of course, they knew about each other I would never ever be ashamed about how I was nor would I hide it, and it was fine for my religion, so I never really saw a problem with that. Why am I writing this down dear finder of my book its because this was written down after my death and if you have found it you are in the same place as me the soul land.
What is the soul land you might be wondering? The soul land is where people go when they die for you see the idea of an eternal afterlife was correct but not in a way most people would think for everyone in the soul land can earn power and move up the ranks, it's a place where all the religions meet, for you can join a faction and be allowed to go back to the land of the living as a servant of a god that does a duty or you can become a god in your own right move to a different universe that is in its primordial stage and try to gain followers, but the way everyone starts is by becoming a soul warrior.
Soul warriors are in my opinion a strange starting point, they are not allowed to interact with the living at all if they do not join a faction but instead, they defend the world from outsiders as they gain power climbing their way up the ranks to godhood.
Every soul starts the same when they show up in soul land a floating blue sphere. Some do not ever make it past a sphere and instead stay in the afterlife in peace or choose to reincarnate and have another chance to generate KARMA and there is a reason karma is in all caps it is a little different than what we thought it was when I was alive. For KARMA controls everything about your next life and how easily you will climb the ranks as a soul warrior. For every KARMA point, you do not spend in your reincarnation the better a person you will maybe generate more KARMA in your next life.
I was extremely lucky in my life I generated a total of 39 units of KARMA. For every 5 units of KARMA, your talents as a soul warrior go up a level. I just generated enough KARMA to become a low-rank god, to become a godling you need a total of 35 units of KARMA and that is just the lowest rank of the gods I am talking a river god or even a mountain god, if we are talking to get up to big G's level, I heard you need like 500 units of KARMA.
Now we need to talk about light and dark KARMA, light KARMA comes from doing good things in your life and dark comes from doing bad things in life. The brighter your KARMA the more your predicted to nature and the like, while darker KARMA leads to warriors and slaughter abilities.
This of course has no effect on reincarnation but for soul warriors, it is everything and the same for gods so make sure you pay attention to your KARMA before becoming a soul warrior, and if it is not what you go for another life when you come back to soul land, you will remember your previous time in soul land apparently.
Now dark KARMA does not mean evil I want to make this truly clear A top-level police officer had 90 KARMA, but it was very dark. It just meant that the people he put away got hurt or got put to death, KARMA does not care if the person your actions affect is good or bad it only cares if your actions lead to someone getting hurt or killed. KARMA will judge those actions and only those actions. The only reason that police officers KARMA was so dark was that he was a hostage rescuer working with SWAT.
So, In my opinion, there is no good or bad KARMA, there is only enough KARMA or too little KARMA. For if you have enough KARMA you can climb the ranks…
The rest of the pages were damaged but the book was saved and given to fresh souls that entered the soul land so they could make a choice as accurately as possible.
