Chapter 2: Heart Of A Cold Stone
Day 2.
The school bell rings.
I was on my way to grab some lunch when suddenly, four of the top bullies in our school dragged me to the toilet. Chuckling and smirking, showing their dominance.
"You must be wondering why we brought you here, Hector," Said Don, their leader.
"You want money because you waste it all up to buy your hairspray?"
His friends chuckled which embarrassed him for a second.
"Not that, you nerd! Because you upset Flare."
"Oh? What does that have anything to do with you?"
"If anyone offends her, they are going to face the consequences. Which is why I'm here."
"So… She's your girlfriend or something?"
"Soon," He said with a smirk.
"That's lame…"
"What did you say, Nerd?"
"The four of you are here to beat me up because of a girl who doesn't even have any relationship with you guys. What are you, a simp?"
"Why you…"
"And why are all of you working together? You guys do know she will only pick one person out of everyone right?"
Don's friends suddenly jolt out of realization.
"He's right. Flare was supposed to be with me," Said a guy named Jaymin.
"What the hell are you talking about? She belongs to me!" His friend Brain stated.
"No, she's mine!" Another guy named Dylan retorted.
"Shut up! I'm the leader, so she's going with me," Don ordered.
"Oof!"
Heh.
Brain has finally lost his temper and landed a punch on Don's face.
Perfect.
"Like the fuck I care you are the leader. Flare belongs to me!" Brain stated again.
"Oh, no she's not."
Dylan punched Brain in the stomach, causing him to breathe out in pain.
All four of them are now starting to fight each other. I slipped past them unharmed and walked out of the exit.
Don saw it and tried to convince them.
"Guys! He's getting away!"
"Oof!"
Brain couldn't care less and sent another punch to his face.
"Shut up, Don!" He barked.

"Ahahaha! What a bunch of idiots."
"One girl could ruin the entire friendship easily."
"Time to get my lunch."
…..
"Ah… Let's see… I'll pick this mystery meat, salad, and… Bread."
"Hmm?"
Flare is right next to me. I took a peek at her tray and saw she took the same food as I do before me.
Huh, what a coincidence.
She turned in my direction and noticed that we had the same meals then stared at me with an irritated look in her eyes.
"Wow… First, you being rude to me, and now you decided to copy what I eat? What are you trying to get here?"
I scoffed and said, "Excuse me? Do you want me to turn back time and be ahead of you to prove that I'm not copying what you're eating? Don't make me laugh."
Everyone around heard our argument started looking at me like I'd just done a serious crime.
Flare doesn't seem happy with my answer and raises her voice at me.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Maybe I was still upset about you from being a rude little asshole!"
Everyone was shocked to hear her swear for the first time. To be honest, I was kinda shocked too.
"Alright, I apologize."
"Good."
She seems satisfied with my apology. But before she walks away.
"Oh yeah, you should really mind your own business next time, seriously."
"Ugh!"
She picked up some spaghetti from a tray nearby and threw it on my face before she stormed off.
"Ohhh!!!"
That's the people's reaction.
Ah, yes… I hate her so much now.
I cleaned myself up and went to look for a seat and saw Raven and Sid already saved a table for me.
"Yo, Hector. Having a bad day, eh." Raven teased.
"Not really, I actually had a good chat with Don and his gangs today."
"Woah, are sure you're ok, Bro?" Raven asked with concern in his voice.
"Did they steal your lunch money? Or did they hurt you?" Sid said.
"Better."
"Better?"
Sid stared at me confusingly.
"I made them punched each other."
"Yo, seriously, Bro?"
Raven leaned in closer to our table with a smile on his face.
"How did you do it?" Sid asked.
"I just make them fight over one girl. Simple as that."
"You have earned my respect, Brother," Raven said as he patted my back.
"Which girl were you talking about though?" Sid said.
I smirk and say, "Try and guess."
"Oh! Is it Flare?" Raven answered.
"Yes."
"Bingo!"
"Man, Flare has become so popular in such a short time," Sid said while chewing his burger.
Raven took a sip of his soda and said "I'm not surprised. She outmatched all the girls in our school."
I almost choked on my bread after hearing this.
"For real?"
"Yeah. Why did you look so surprised, Bro?"
"I didn't expect her to be that good. I mean doesn't she look the same as the other girls in our school?"
Raven raised an eyebrow while staring at me, and said, "Same? Is your heart made of stone, Bro?"
"What? Why?" I asked
Sid slammed both hands on the table, and said, "A man will immediately notice the beauty ahead with only a blink of an eye."
I stared at Sid confusingly.
"Huh?"
"You, Hector Milestone. Are not a man, but a statue of a man,"
Raven then clapped his hands together like it was an amazing performance.
"Well said, Sid. Well said."
My brain feels like a loading screen now.
"I don't understand…"
Sid shot a glance at me and said with a dramatic voice, "Do you not like women, Hector Milestone."
"Oh, this is getting interesting," Raven said while taking another sip of his soda.
"I… Do…?"
"Lies! Ever since we had become friends for one and a half years, you had never praised a single girl in your entire life,"
"What? That's so not true."
"I could confirm that," Raven said with his arm raised high.
Curse you, Raven!
"I, Sid Beckman, challenge you,"
"Oho, this is getting better and better," Raven picked up his potato chips, and started munching on them.
"During our last year in this school, you must at least flirt or better confess to a girl right in front of our eyes. If not, our friendship will be over."
"You can't be serious, Sid."
I stared at him with disbelief.
"Yes, I am."
Raven hammer his fist on his palm, and said, "I totally agree with this challenge."
Oh, of course Raven agrees.
How am I supposed to deal with this challenge?
