Chapter 11: New town, new playthings?
After the storm or battle finishes my minions check the ship for damage while I protect the, okay while I nap next to the river, the noise of the crew making sure everything is okay and getting to know each other lull me into a false sense of safety, so I drop my guard which is when I am assaulted by someone climbing on my head and someone calling out. "no don't you will wake her up!" I open and eye just a crack and see Bun Bun and Larna slowly walking over to me confused I go to move when I hear Kittys chipper voice ring out, "no I don't want a bath and Onyxia will protect me because you are still scared of her!" what she said makes me frown on the inside, I mean I am a lot of things but once they joined me they became like family, well there is a problem there because I did kill my blood brother and mother but in my defence they did abandon me first so never mind that.
Coming back from my thoughts I can see the rest of the female, I don't know what to call them now I have likened them to family do I call them sisters or something else I think ill go with crew for now, wait am I becoming soft because I haven't killed yet today? I got lost in my thoughts again, the female crew are in a semi-circle around my head and are arguing quietly with Kitty about having a bath in the pound that we are next to so to get my revenge on Kitty for treating me like a tree to climb, I snap my eyes open the girls take a step back Kitty squeaks as I raise myself to my full hight, and with a growling chuckle I tip my head forward and Kitty falls in to the water, the rest of the crew burst out laughing at the free fall kitty as just taken, she tries to get out of the water but I just push her back in.
About and hour later we are back on the move heading to a town called Carvielin, from what the crew have said it's a mid-sized town but doesn't have a traders post but has a guild hall so they can all get the adventurer job I nod along, but im slightly disappointed I was hoping to spill some blood and gain some exp after all the last town I raided was fun and profitable, once we get close enough to the town we stop and im asked to wait next to the ship so I don't scare the peasants, grumbling to myself I sit and stay like a damn dog on its leash, I watch as they all travel down the road to the town laughing and talking.
I stay there for a few hours before i start getting bord or something because I start fidgeting with my tail in the dirt, looking up in to the sky to see where the sun is I see that it is past the half way point, that's when I make a plan and when I say plan really I mean a goal of a sort, and it is, if they aren't back by sun down and un hurt I am going to obliterate the town to the ground scorched earth style, so I lie down and look in to the distance where the sun will set and get ready for a barbeque, the sky slowly changes colour and my heart begins to race and im not sure why I mean yeah they are like family but only the strong survive and all that crap, the tip of the sun hits the horizon and I get up but just as I do Kitty come rushing towards me with a huge grin on her rather cute face.
She skids to a stop just in front of my nose and waves so fast and over exaggeratedly I think that her arm might fall of and fly in to the distance, Kitty opens her mouth to say something but Bun Bun just pops up out of nowhere and chops Kitty on the head and scolds "we told you not to run off!" unable to stop my self at the sight of Kitty pouting and Bun Buns very angry face I snort and let out a puff of smoke, Vixxen the Kitsune struts her way in front and says. "I used to work for a thieves guild and I picked up a few things while I worked there, so I know how to find things that the guards cant, anyway I found out that there is a secret meeting with some nobles happening tonight at midnight, so I was thinking we could crash the party, I mean you might be able to snag a lady, she might not be a princess but it would be good to get the size of the future cage right". I look at her with my eyes narrowed and she just smiles and says "you kind of sleep talk, so now Bronin has shared his ability with the clan we all heard your 'master plan'" I just stare at her she used air quotes, it leaves me gob smacked when did the crew become so brave to question my plans?
