Something was shining in the grass. Before I could get a a closer look, somebody tapped on my shoulder.
"AH!"
Startled, I turned around. It was Rai; their shoulders shaking from holding back laughter. I glared at them, pushing myself up off the ground.
"What is your problem?"
Huffing, I pushed them back playfully.
She waved her hand, motioning for me to follow her. I sighed and walked behind them while approaching another portal.
"Come on! Seriously? You want to go to the cat cafe?"
I rolled my eyes, as I wasn't in the mood to eat right now.
Rai stared me down until I crumbled.
"Fine! Have it your way!"
I pushed through the portal while dragging her by the hand behind me. They always seemed to get the best of me, didn't they? The same suffocating feeling from the portal came over me and I shuddered.
I always seemed to forget the feeling.

Soon once again I felt the reassuring feeling of the ground beneath my feet...
and then I fell. Flat on my face.
I didn't want to get up. I knew Rai would be laughing at me and I couldn't bear that embarrassment. I stayed there with my face planted onto the hot cement until I couldn't feel my cheeks anymore, refusing to get up. I only finally got up when I was forcibly dragged from the floor by Rai.
They shook their head in disappointment and pointed to the couch. As we walked past tables and others, I felt as though we were being watched.
