When I was a little boy I always believed in the unknown and would always strive to find the things that lurk in the shadows, but ounce on a faithful day I saw something I'll try my best to explain it so keep in mind this happened when I was little what I saw was a tall scaly creature very black in color and would make a hissing noise, sorry I'm getting ahead of myself where did I find it you may ask well I was walking home from school there was talk of a black creature the folks called it the shadow walker I never believed them because why would you everyone knows that monsters don't exist or that's what I told myself, while walking home I heard a hissing noise and decided to investigate it I followed the noise to an ally it was about 5 p.m. now so it was getting late anyway I turn the corner I saw nothing just a dark pathway the hissing had long since stopped after a minute of searching looking through boxes and god knows what else I decided to end the investigation there and continued to walk home.
The next day at school I told my friends they all told me that it was the shadow creature I laughed it off as a joke, while setting in class listening to the teacher talk about history I would always look out the window trying to ignore what's going on in the room needless to say I never had the best of grades but in this day I saw the tail of something very black I told my self it was a cat even though I've never seen a black cat this black trying to not dwell on it to much I focused back on the teacher lucky for me the lecture was almost done "hey jack what was you looking at" Cassie says, "nothing" I replied "just looking out the window like always" if I told her what I saw she wouldn't believe me anyways after school I started to walk home like always when I heard that hissing again to nervous to check it out this time so I continued to walk the hissing getting even louder I went from a nervous walk to a jog but what startled me the most was for one second it was behind me then it was in front of me I stopped jogging to scared to move I thought to myself how can anything in this world move that fast, I know this may sound weird but I thought it was all in my head so I continued to walk the hissing didn't stop after turning the corner that's when I saw it the tall scaly creature very black in color and had a long tail as well, it looked at me with its red sunken eyes I was so scared it raised its hand as if to try to pull me in closer I couldn't take I ran as fast as I could I heard it behind me I ran through the woods and almost bumped into some trees i finally made it home I slammed the front door behind me and I hid underneath the carpet and cried after a while I heard banging on the door it took everything in me to go to the door I looked through the peep hole and I saw my friend I opened the door and it was Cassie "Jesus jack why did it take you an hour to open the door for me" she screams "I saw it the shadow creature I swear" I replied to Cassie she just mad a confused face " very funny jack you know that it's just a folk tale in this town" she says " no Cassie I swear it was very black and scaly with red eyes" I screamed I'm not crazy at least I think I'm not Cassie just sat on the couch just looking at me laughing she asked if I was telling the truth I nodded and continued to look at the floor, she told me told that she would spend the night at my home until I felt better later that night night I was awoken to a scratching noise on the window it was by my bed I saw three claw marks Cassie was sound asleep like always scared I tried to go back to sleep after I while I finally fell asleep.
The next day the claw marks were gone very confused I talked it up to sleep walking I woke up Cassie because we were late to school after getting her out of bed we walked to school I started to hear the hissing I ask Cassie if she heard anything she just shook her head "no I haven't heard anything, wait are you trying to hide a fart" she laughs "no I heard hissing and wanted to know if you heard it as well" I replied "maybe it was a cat there are a lot out here nowadays" Cassie replies after about five minutes we get to school I grab her arm and scream were gonna be late and to hurry, we mad it class just we missed role call but hey we mad it after taking our seats I began to look out the window I saw it again the shadow it was just standing there looking at me I quickly turned my head and look back out the window and it was gone a little nervous like always the teacher going on about stupid history I just couldn't wait for school to end. After school I walk home by myself told Cassie I was fine and so I walked home i didn't hear any hissing which I found to be weird but also found it nice for a change I took the shortcut through the woods just looking at Mother Nature and it's beauty I made it home and after a long day just wanted to play some games I played overhauled which is my favorite after an hour it started getting late and went to bed, I love to dream I can tell you every dream I ever had and this one was weird the shadow thing was in my dream.
The next day I decided to investigate more on the shadow creature I asked around town I saw this old man he seemed weird at first but he knew something, "he old man what do you know about the shadow creature?" I asked what the old man said still shakes me to this day "oh you mean the shadow walker they some say it's a demon some say it's a alien what I say it's s a Monster" the old man says "what does that even mean" I ask the old man told me that if you see it it's to late he will hunt you down and then eat you or that's what I heard I've never heard of anyone dying because of it so take this information as you will" the old man said, I thanked him for his time and went on my way and went home thinking about what the old man said "am I really going to die" I thought no it wouldn't kill me but I can't be so sure I don't even know what a shadow walker is I need to know more about this thing, on my day off from school I went to the library and search up articles on the shadow walker I didn't find to much I think the most I found was the article saying that they will stalk there prey until the time is right then they consume them I tried to see if there is a way to stop it but could not find anything. I took the information home with me and looked it over trying to come up with a plan to stop it or at least know more about it.
