Chapter 6: Fuinjutsu
A/N: I'll put this at the start but the stat rankings are as so:
1-30= Civilian
31-280= Genin
281-800= Chunin
801-1200= Jounin/Anbu
1200-1500= Kage level
1600+= So6p level
((Only for Strength, Agility and Vitality. Chakra works differently.))

"Hey I know I took you in as a student and stuff, but what do you actually want to learn? You're an Uchiha so you're practically covered on Ninjutsu and Genjutsu, and you already have your own Taijutsu style.", Minato explained to Sora as they were eating ramen.
Sora hummed a bit, Minato was right, and if he asked for the Flying Thunder God and Rasengan, there was no way he'd let him learn. However, aside from those there was still one thing he could learn. "Fuinjutsu". There were multiple reasons he wanted to learn Fuinjutsu, one reason was gravity seals, they would help pretty greatly with his training and also it would be more convenient to make his own stuff, no extra money needed to be spent, although money was a trivial thing for a clan heads son.
Minato slurped up the last of his noodles before answering, "I guess I could teach you that. Come on though, we need to buy an ink pen and some paper". Sora payed then followed after Minato.
After buying the ink pen and some papers, they went to Minato's house to actually start training.
"The main and most important factor when making seals and the sorts is the precision of the ink pen strokes. If you get even one of the lines or patterns ever so slightly wrong, the whole seal can fail or even become something else entirely.", Minato explained the process of making seals first, then showed Sora a basic paralysis seal that would only work on civilians, before actually letting him try himself.
For a quite a long while, all his attempts were off by a longshot, all of his lines and patterns were either wobbly or too thick or thin. This would have been far easier if he had his Sharingan unlocked, he could have just copied Minato's movements and be done with it. Sora tried a few more times but still didn't see any good improvements.
Eventually it was dinner time and Kushina insisted that he stayed until after dinner, saying she cooked extra and they couldn't finish it all.
"Hey Sora, you're trying to learn Fuinjutsu right?", Kushina asked. "Yeah. But I really can't see any progress made, every time I try to draw the seal theres always a line thats gone wrong.", Sora answered.
"When I started out, I had that problem too, but what I did which really helped me was practice each individual pattern first, make sure they're in order, and then once each of them was practiced to an acceptable state, I just drew every pattern in one go.", Kushina smiled at him. Sora felt like a whole new branch of possibilities just opened up to him. He downed all of his remaining food, took his pen and papers, thanked them and left for his house.
At home he did exactly as Kushina told him to, he practiced each pattern individually and then combined them all.

(Next Day)
Sora excitedly showed Minato his seal, and after inspecting it, Minato approved that it was correct. Oh how much work went into that seal. A seal that wouldn't even help in battle.
"After you can make a few more basic seals, you can move onto Explosive tags and storage scrolls.
The basic seals that Sora learned first were a Chakra restraining seal that only worked on Genin levels of Chakra, A Chakra storage Seal, that again could only store Genin Levels of Chakra, and also a Security Seal that would inform him if anyone touched something of his.
Although according to Minato they were merely basic seals, even the Security Seal seemed a few levels harder to make than the first one he made.
Spending a week and a half on those seals alone, he took them to Minato to inspect. After confirming that they were right and also testing them, Minato showed him how to make the seals for Explosive Tags and the Storage Scroll.
With that, Sora's schedule was made. Wake up- Wash and breakfast- Train- Lunch- Make seals- Dinner- Seals again- Shower- Bed.

(About half a month later)
Sora was within his room, attempting and failing to complete any of the two seals, it wasn't hard to memorise the patterns, but actually preforming them and making it perfect and flawless was a different story.
Fugaku was also aware that Sora had become Minato's student and didn't seem to mind, to him it simply meant that the situation of the Uchiha would improve, and besides, Minato was someone he had considered a close friend.
Sora was taken by surprise when Itachi had suddenly burst into his room, almost breaking the door. "Itachi, what's wrong?", Sora asked.
Seeing Itachi out of breath or losing his cool was not something you see happening every single day. "Mother's giving birth!". Sora's eyes widened as he put on his shoes and rushed to the hospital with Itachi, 'Already?', Sora thought to himself.
