Chapter 9: Ninja Team
"997.. 998.. 999.. 1000!", Sora counted his final push-ups for today. A month passed since he started training with gravity seals and autumn was almost there. Like any other day Sora completed his morning training before he went inside to eat breakfast and have a shower. The memories of the original Monkey King seemed to give Sora a personality change. He became ever so slightly more serious and stoic than he was.
Today Sora was going to ask Minato to directly make him a Genin, it was getting kind of ridiculous at this point, having Chunin levels of strength but not being on ninja duty?
Finishing off his breakfast which consisted of mainly pancakes, he had a quick shower before he went into his room to put some clothes on. He wore a black shirt with a large Uchiha symbol on the back, and matching black shorts and ninja sandals. Dark colours were kind of like the Uchiha theme, and almost every Uchiha wore dark coloured clothing.
Stepping outside his house Sora used the Shunshin, a simple but effective D-Rank Jutsu, it made you move fast with a low cost of chakra. It was also what would make Shisui become known as 'The Flicker', as far as Sora knew though, Itachi had yet to meet him. He Shunshined one more time to get past the secretary unnoticed and knocked on the door of the Hokage's office. "Come in", came the voice of Minato from the other side of the door.
The Hokage's office looked exactly like it did in the show from what Sora remembered. To one side of the room, there were shelves packed with books, on the other side were portraits of all the Hokage and then there was Minato's desk which was stacked with papers.
"Ah, Sora, fancy seeing you in the Hokage's office. Did the secretary really let you through?", Minato really was surprised to see him, Sora had never come to the Hokage's office, not even once. "Nah, sneaked past her", Sora replied casually. Minato nodded before saying, "I'm guessing you're not here to visit". Sora nodded, "Make me a Genin". "You know I can't do tha-", Minato was cut off. "You're the Hokage, you can do anything, besides I'm sure you've realised but I'm already better than most Chunin, keeping me inside is a waste, and if you think I'm not ready for the world cause I'm too young or something like that, you know I've already took another person's life". Sora looked at Minato seriously, the strange golden crosses within his eyes almost looking as if they were sparkling. There was a short pause before Minato closed his eyes and sighed. "The problem is exactly that you're this strong at such a young age. The youngest Chunin in the history of Konoha, or even the history of the world as far as I'm aware, was my student Kakashi at 6 years old, I'm sure you've heard of him, the son of the White Fang. During the war, his potential was feared and the enemy villages sent strong Shinobi on multiple occasions in an attempt to get rid of him. He's alive of course, but both his teammates are dead. Even though we aren't at war right now, the tension is still high, and by exposing yourself to the world, not only are you putting yourself at risk, but also your teammates and Sensei. Do you understand?", Minato explained sternly. "When, and if that happens, I will take full responsibility", Sora replied, not willing to give up on becoming a Genin. There was another pause, this time a bit longer, and Minato sighed again. "Inu, go inform Team 8 that a new replacement for their team has been found". Then he opened one of his desk draws and pulled out a black Konoha headband, giving it to Sora. "Sora Uchiha, congratulations on becoming a Genin", Sora smiled, tying the headband around his forehead.
A few minutes passed and Minato and Sora made some small talk, catching up on this and that.
The door suddenly opened and three people walked in, one was am adult Jonin, he wore the standard Jonin outfit and his headband was worn around his head (like a durag). He had long and silky black hair that went up to about halfway to his back and two bangs on the front. He had a normal face but his most distinctive features were his pearl white eyes. 'A Hyuga', Sora deducted.
The other two were both Genin that looked like they were twelve years old. One was a girl,
she had nicely combed purple hair and matching purple eyes. She wore what looked like anexpensive shirt and skirt and a silver necklace. 'She's meant to be a ninja?', Sora thought to himself, she really didn't look like much.
The other one had short brown hair and had black eyes, he wore a brown shirt and white shorts, along with black ninja sandals. His face also had a rather grumpy look. He looked at Sora mockingly. 'He thinks he's some hot shot. Hate his type..', Sora cursed him on the inside but gave an innocent smile on the outside.
"Hokage-Sama, you called?", The Jonin spoke.
Minato nodded, "This is your new team member, make sure you don't underestimate him, I personally promoted him to Genin".
"Is he really a ninja? He's a child", the girl said doubting Minato. "I could say the same thing about you. What type of ninja wears jewelry when they're on duty?", Sora finally spoke. "Rey, stop being rude.", the Jonin spoke then turned to Sora. "My name is Akashi Hyuga, nice to meet you". "Nice to meet you too, Akashi-Sensei, My name is Sora Uchiha". The other two introduced themselves as Rey Itsuha and Kazuma Yamamoto.
"Alright, well, I'll let you guys get familiar with each other before you have to take on a mission in a couple of hours", Minato dismissed them.

(At Training Ground 8)
Kazuma and Rey looked down on Sora, but Akashi knew better. To be able to graduate at a young age simply meant that you were a genius and had immense potential.
"I'm gonna be real Sensei. There's no way this kid has any skills. He probably only became a Genin cause he's an Uchiha", Kazuma said and Rey quickly agreed. Sora sighed, he really hated these types of people. "How about you fight me then?", Sora suggested. "Look kid, I really hate your types, you managed to become Genin because of some fluke and think you're a hotshot. I'll knock you out with one punch", Kazuma stated. 'He just described himself though....'.
Before Akashi could say something to stop the fight, Kazuma ran at Sora, and punched him. The punch had no form or technique, and was extremely slow. The height difference between Sora and Kazuma was about 2 feet, so the punch was mainly aimed downwards. Sora side stepped to the side, dodging the punch and with unbelievable speed taking a Kunai and putting it against Kazuma's neck, drawing a bit of blood. "If I were an enemy you would be dead", Sora removed the Kunai and walked away, sitting down against a tree.
Akashi sighed. getting Rey and Kazuma to learn and work together was problematic enough. Now that Sora arrived, the chance of the team working together was even lower. "Let's just go get a mission from Hokage-Sama", he said a bit depressed. Sora nodded and followed him, followed by Rey, and then Kazuma, who now stared at Sora with hatred in his eyes.

A/N: Sorry for no chapter yesterday. but uh poll is closed now. ima keep it no harem but I don't think ima do the Uchiha oc as the pairing and might wait for someone from a different world.
