Afterwards, Ma Xiao Tao, Dai Yaoheng and Ming Long Chen became close friends. Long Chen's group now gained another member. Ma Xiao Tao got to know their someone even fiercer and agressive than her evil fire phoenix which is the class teacher Zhou Yi. Days were as rough as before with even more training and yelling.
Just like that 8 months passed like water.
"Your vacation is coming up." Teacher Zhou announces. Just when all the students in the class wanted to cheer for their long awaited break.
"I will notify you now that there will be an advancement test when you return so don't think about resting." The teacher drops the news bluntly. The air went from as bright as spring to being hopes being splashed by rain and squashed by a boulder. "Everyone is required to take on at least a 100 year old spirit beast to pass but I expect you to do better! If you don't make it above the average, it's expulsion for you!!"
"YES!!" The class practically saluted, no one dared to talk back to this fearsome teacher.

"That's our Teacher Zhou for you."
"After all that months of heavy punishment and training, who would go gainst her? I'd applaud for their bravery if they did."
"Well, at least, it was beneficial to us."
This group of three could be seen walking around school grounds while chatting happily.
"What will you be doing during the vacation?" Ma Xiao Tao asks, "I'll be staying in Shrek for further training.
"I'll be returning back home for that."
"Same here. I recently received a message to return to the Ming clan."
"A message?"
"Yeah."
"You sure it's not from someone special outside school or something~" Ma Xiao Tao teases again. Doing this to the usually calm and collected Long Chen and getting a reaction out of him has become her favourite hobby.
"As if I have the time for that." he shuts her down.
"Hahahaha, how many maiden hearts would break if he did?"
"I know right! Haha"
"You two.....really get along well."

Long Chen had packed his stuff and left for the Ming clan estate. Once he arrived home, a small figure is seen charging towards him and pounced, "Big Brother!!!" It was none other than his younger brother, Yi Chen. After not having seen him for a long while, Long Chen notices his growth in height.
"I'm back, Yi Chen." he carasses the little boy's head gently before picking him up as they head inside.
In the main hall, Long Chen is sitting opposite his father.
"Xiao Long, you've grown a lot."
"Yes, I've learned a lot during my time in Shrek and am not slacking in my training."
"Yes, I believe it's time for you as well."
"What time?"
"Do you know exactly why I told you to come back directly?"
"Isn't it because you wanted me to train here?"
"That's partially correct but there's another reason. Come with me." The man stood up and walks way. Long Chen silently trailed after him.
In their walk, Long Chen's father began to explain. "Every prominent clan in the continent has a special bloodline unique to them and is usually inherited by their decendants. Do you know of ours?"
Long Chen could only shake his head as no one told him about this matter and there weren't any information in the books.
"Our bloodline can be said to be a bit less direct and varies more than others." The man stops in front of a large jade door. Right now, they are at the underground area of the Ming clan estate. "This is the Ming clan's sanctum where the young members of the main family undergo the awakening."
"Awakening?"
"Our clan name, 'Ming'. To be clear and true to oneself. You enter these doors to learn of your trueself and awaken with sheer willpower alone. There are those who fail and those who succeed. The result will depend on you. Now, it's your turn to take this challenge."
"Yes, father."
The boy enters the sanctum and the doors close behind him. He found himself staring at a mystic-like large room. Water flows everywhere and there was only one path heading to the circular platform in the middle of the room. Seeing no other paths, he walked to the platform and sat down.
He was just about to contemplate on his next action when all of the sudden the water around him suddenly starts to rise and surround him. 'What is-?' before he knew it, he was encased in a cocoon made from the water.

In the darkness, Long Chen is floating about. "Where am I?" As he tries to figure out and analyse his situation, he comes face to face with his past that he had long forgotten. Not the him in this world, but the past him from his previous life. 'That's!'
"You. Is it not?" A voice interrupts his thoughts.
"Who!" he search around for where the voice came from but there isn't anything other than darkness around him. For someone to know of his reincarnation and earth, it can't be a simple person. But what is it....it sounded familiar.
"Who I am matters not, I should be the one asking.....who exactly are you?"
That question made the boy flinch a bit, "I...I am Long Chen, Ming Long Chen!"
"You hesitated. Are you sure about that answer?"
"I..."
Two mirrors appeared in front of him. The right one showing him in his past life and the other showing the current him.
"Do you intend on forgetting your past self? The family you left behind? The friends who cheered you on?"
The one on the right projects all the good and sad moments I spent with my close and beloved ones. Long Chen fell silent to the words of the voice as he couldn't answer them. '....to be clear and true to yourself...' The words his father gave him appear in his head, it made all his doubts dissappear.
'That's right....this is the test. What I'm facing now is just....'
"Give me your answer. Who are you?"
"I am Ming Long Chen. I am 'me' and no one else."
"What of your true past? Do you wish to give it up to pursue your new more well-off life?"
"Well-off? My past me is still me and so is the me right now. I worked so hard that I died because of it in my last life. However, me giving up myself all because of the fear of death and for a life of leisure? It's no different from living a dead life. I will strive for my goals, that's what I call a very fulfilling life. In this life for sure, something about me will change but so what. Regardless, that's also a part of me. My past is what created the present."
"....." now it's the voice turn to be silent, "I have received your answer."
The area lit up from the original dark space to one filled with a bright light, the mist of darkness cleared up. I could finally see the true identity of the voice. My lips parted for a moment before turning into a small smile, "I knew it.....it was you."
The one behind the mysterious yet familiar voice was none other than the him in his past life. His past self smiled at him as well.
This test was for me to accept both selves and proceed knowing that even if I seem different from my past, I am still me. I knew that I had doubts on why I came to this world when I was young. As I grew older, I began to forget about them. It may have allowed them to fester and grow as I continued to neglect them. Now, I can truly accept who I am.
In the sanctum, the water cocoon in the middle of the room shone brightly before splitting, releasing Long Chen, who was trapped inside. The water would then cover his figure and solify into crystals becoming an exoskeleton. A pair or crystal wings manifest on his back. His bloodline awakening : [Infinite Crystal Emperor], is complete.
