Chapter 18: Cotton Candy
"I can't keep babysitting you idiots" Daniel's voice echoed through the dungeon. Nebbish and Mohawk sat down in front of him, they both looked nervous and Nebbish was on the edge of tears.
"Now get your ass in gear and go kill some wolves in the meadows, they are below your level so it should be somewhat easy for you morons" Daniel added before giving them the boot and kicking them out his party.
They both nodded, startled by Daniel's sudden change in mood. "Yes Sir!" said Mohawk diligently and dragging Nebbish by the arm, "It's dangerous, I don't want to fight" He said to Mohawk still dragging him.
"Let's Go!" Mohawk said walking deeper into the dark hallway.
There voices got quieter and soon just faded into background noise. This was bliss for Daniel, no distractions only him and the enemy in front of him.
"Lets get crackin' " He said as his mood lifted instantly. He stretched his arms and legs, like he was getting ready for a sprint.
As he entered the doors of the dungeons last room, a giant tree and multiple sentinels guarding it entered his sight. The tree had a light grey trunk and dark teal leaves, making it the most colourful thing in the giant room. The sentinels were wearing armour that corresponded to the colour of the tree, a white metal with darker teal accents. Their numbers varied from five to nine sentinels.
Some of the sentinels wielded swords, some spears and shields. Daniel gazed at all there levels, It ranged from 10 for the swordsman and 12 for the spearman. Daniel sweated a little, seeing this was going to be a difficult battle.
"Oi! Come at me!" Daniel shouted throwing a pebble at one of the sentinels metal helmets. He instantly took the agro and they surrounded him, swords in the frontline and spears in the back.
They all swung at him simultaneously, spearman were the only ones in active in movement.
Daniel tried to block them but soon realised his movements were impossible to block their impeccable coordination.

"Tch" Daniel winced a little, it's been a while since he has taken some damage. Due to his rapid growth most players and common enemy's barely did more than 2 damage to him.
"They must have some kind of defence ignoring skill" Daniel said trying to jump over the circle of swordsman. As his feet were in the air the spearman all thrust towards him, he could only block one. One of the spears slice down his back causing a critical hit.

"Motherfucker" Daniel said landing roughly on his ankles, he was out of the death circle but that wouldn't last long as they all started to surround him once again.
"I think I was too confident in this one" Daniel said nervously.

"Any contact with him yet?" One of the cloaked figures said sitting on a comfy couch. "We've been tracking him for a day, he still hasn't come out of that dungeon. His party members are in the field and most other players are following suit" A taller cloaked person said respectively.
The person sitting on the couch removed their cloak. She had cute features and wore glasses with round black frames, her eyes were like emeralds and her short pink hair like cotton candy. From a outside perspective she would be quite the catch.
Bianca entered the room quietly and handed her a paper. "So he's already that far? What a monster" The pink haired girl said frightfully, playing with her hair.
"He has been leveling up at a demonic rate, his adaptability is frightening" Bianca said as she unbuckled her armour revealing her big "assets".
The pink haired girl look jealous as she looked at her chest and compared her and Bianca's sizes.
"Enchantress" She whispered and scoffed, throwing the paper into a fireplace and setting it a light.
"I shall see if he's returned, Good luck with your ventures President" Bianca bowed, equipping her armour and wrapping herself up with a cloak. She opened the door and quickly left the building, leaving a cool breeze enter the room making the lights and fireplace flicker.
"He shall be mine, we will win the war to the top" The president said mischievously and somehow flirtatious.

"Fuck, I'm down to my last three health potions. Why did I give the idiots so many" Daniel said struggling with the sword dance of the sentinels.

"Dash" Daniel said pulling out his dagger and taking down one of the few spearman. It vanished into particles and left a pop-up before Daniel.
He ignored it and dodged most of the incoming blades. A spear pierced his forearm, leaving a big cut along his arm.

"I'm past half health, not good" Daniel said sweating. He started feeling his stamina drain and his heart start to race, his body became heavy and hard to move.
"Fuck" Daniel quickly dodged the blades and took a swig of his health potion.

"The gamble skill is to risky, if I get a bad roll it's suicide." He said stumbling back into a fighting stance as they started surrounding him again.
Daniel ran towards a swordsman stupidly and instantly killed it with a sweeping cleave from his dagger.

Daniel felt all stress leave his body. His health restored and his wounds healed, he smiled and quickly jumped over the death circle. The spearman thrusted at him again.
"Parry"
*Perfect*
The spearman got their spears intertwined leaving them with their heads falling to the ground and particles leaving where their bodies once were.
"Lucky" Daniel said, cracking his knuckles and looking at the helpless swordsman before him.
