I dozed off. I really did. I woke up with Izanami snuggling beside me sleeping and Nanako beside her. It puts a smile on my face. I bet if Daigo-nii saw this, he would be super jealous. So I just click a picture of them silently. Using my phone, speaking of my phone, I seemed to have a few missed calls. 3 from Daigo-nii, well speak of the devil then. 2 from Izanami, and 1 from Uncle Ryo.
The sun's setting outside, so it seems that I've been asleep for quite some time. I checked the clock that's hanging by the wall above the TV, it's 5:15.
I realized Izanami is already awake, and was just enjoying my arm. So I gave her a peck on the forehead, and gently slid my arms out of her grasp.
With my free hand, I decided that I'll call Uncle Ryo first and see what happend.
"Ah Akira, I finally got through, where are you?"
"Home, with Izanami and Nanako-chan. What's wrong?"
"Oh, it's nothing I was just worried, I can't seem to reach Izanami nor Nanako, what're they doing?"
"They're asleep."
"Ok. what about Yu?"
"He's with his friends catching up on his studies, next week is our midterms."
Yu owe me one.
"Oh yeah, I forgot. Well then try your best, though I'm sure you'll do good. Oh yeah, I won't be coming back early tonight. The daughter of Amagi-Inn suddenly disappears. She's last seen 2 days ago. What's with kids running away from home these days."

"Hmmm, if you know something, could you give me a hint?"
Even if you ask for a hint. I can't just tell you it's Izanami's game, a game whose players are in a battle to decide Inaba's fate now can I.

He hung up. Sometimes i wonder how can Yu in the original game fool the adults for so long.

After the phone call , I prepared some simple dinner with Nanako and Izanami.
"Akira-Nii, Why are we making dinner for 4? Didn't papa say he'll be back late?"
"Because, I'll be picking up Yu tonight and He'll surely be hungry."
"Oh, I see, is Yu-nii at Junes again?"
"No, he's not, he's at Isshin's place."
"Isshin? Who's that?"
"Yu's Sensei! He lives at the dojo near the mountain."
"Oooh! The big dojo?"
"Yes, the big dojo."
"Can nanako come along?"

Nanako gives a me a sad face.
"Don't be sad Nanako, I'm sure Akira will take you there next time, but for now, have you studied for your midterms."

After making sure that nanako is diligently studying, I left towards Isshin's place, I plan to borrow a minivan again. I walked slowly to enjoy the evening. Inaba is a quiet city, with not many people. Chances are if you're living here long enough, you'll know your neighbour's family, friends, and their cousins and what not. That's the perk of living in a small city.
As I was taking my sweet time, I saw something in the corner of my vision, a silhouette, if you will. A redheaded youth jumping from rooftops to rooftops. Huh. maybe he's running away from home, not my problem. I just raised a flag now didn't I?
As I arrived at Isshin's dojo, he was just waiting outside as if waiting for me to come.
"Akira."
"Yes, Uncle Isshin?"
"Uncle Isshin huh. That's way better than what that brat called me."
"What did he call you?"
"Liar, Hypocrite among other insults."
Sakamoto seems like the type.
"Akira, can I ask y--"
"Sure, but can I have Emma-san phone number?"
"Ohoho, what is this? A sinful man you are."
"No, not that, if I ever needed a driver I can call emma-san to send someone right, it's better than calling Iwai everytime. So how about it?"
"Fine. though if you want to pursue her I wouldn't mind, better she deserves better than that no good son of mine."

Heading back towards the rooftops where I see Sakamoto, I began to follow his last location. He headed west side the last time I saw him. There seems to be a thick fog covering the city this time of the day. Shit. I wonder if Yu will be in time. He had to save Yukiko today or the shadows would attack.
Heading west in a straight line, I saw a familiar road. It's an abandoned temple, the battlefield, in which Izanami and I battled, but I see no one here. And the fog is getting thicker by the minute.
Romulus do you sense anything?
[Other than the fog, nothing.]
I had a bad feeling about this.I walked forward, slowly and steadily.

I don't know how long I was walking or for what purpose I'm here.
"My lord! The preparations are ready!"
"Then Scorch them."
I said as if it's the most natural thing to do. As flaming balls of fire paints the sky red. Burning everything upon its path as the calm night turns into a scene from hell. Warriors are clashing from both sides.
"Cavalry! Run them down, leave no survivors!"
Sound of hoofs and shouts of affirmation are heard, as my cavalry runs down the remaining warriors.
"My lord, the plan was a success, the enemies have been routed. But I'm afraid your honor will be tarnished with this move."
"So be it. From today henceforth, let them know that I've taken Mount Hei. Let them quake and tremble in my name. Let them know a [Demon Lord] has descended."

I was holding my head. As the fog thickens around me. That vision just now.

I see, now that I've affirmed it's not an illusion it makes me wonder, what is it then.
After walking for some time, the fog finally lifts. I found myself inside the metaverse. As evident of the red sky, shadows roaming everywhere. But most importantly I can't see Sakamoto anywhere. But I can see sparks flying in the distance, someone's fighting over there. Stretching my arms I summoned my per… STAND.

I feel a surge of mana gathering inside me, every shadow in the vicinity gets alerted as mana is accumulating inside me at an alarming rate. They started swarming me in every direction, covering the skies, painting the red sky black.

A flash of light, and everything's gone. Wasting no time, I head towards the direction a battle's taking place. I have a strong feeling that Sakamoto's over in that area. After some time, I finally realized something, the distance between me and the small spark of what seems to be spells. is not lessening at all! What could be the cause of ---
Fuck. When I turned to look behind me, a huge black scorched skeleton, with six arms, horns protruding from it's skull, crawled towards me. It doesn't have legs, but is very mobile with it's 6 arms. And is closing in on me fast.
[It seems that the creature controls the space around here. Unless beaten we cannot advance.]

The Familiar sensation of the golden armor with wings. As it automatically draws mana, refills my stamina, and enhances my strength.
As if to taunt me, the skeletal monster mocks me with an iconic pose with both arms. As if asking if I was approaching it.
"I can't beat the shit out of you without getting closer."

With arms coated in crimson mana Romulus sent a straight towards the skeletal monstrocity, which it returns in kind. As Romulus was hit, I felt the backlash, I felt as if I was hit by a road roller. I was glad that I had aquila equiped as it also softened the blow.
What's wrong, Romulus.

Ah I see, Romulus had divinity, as the founder of rome. He's immortalized as such, thus giving birth to a 'new' pantheon, with its own legends, heroes, and of course gods.
Shit, if he had Anti-Divinity. That means romulus can't do anything.

I felt a huge burden in my body, as instantly I have lived a life of philosophy, riding, poetry, swords mastery, commanding, beast slaying , … ,..., etc. as I experience it first hand from a point of view of multiple roman's decedent.

Wait, you can do that? Now's not the time. As after images of fists came raining down from the sky. Through the knowledge of [Gigantic Beast Hunting], [Mind's Eye (False)], [Valor],…., etc. I have instincts of heroes, in their prime fighting enemies that's more than thrice their size.
I dodge a few blows where I can, and Romulus deflects the rest, while hitting joints whenever I can. It doesn't seem to have any effect on the monster though, which i found annoying. I should try something.

It seems to have an effect. As the skeleton shrieks it's pain away, a wave of heat pulses out of his body, burning everything within a kilometer. Romulus even got burnt a bit shielding me from the hellfire. So stage 2 huh. the skeleton suddenly grows a pair of feet, an ethereal aura forms around it. Giving the skeleton a sengoku period 'armor' with a cape.
Isn't that a 'Susanoo'.
Hey hey, that's not fair you know. An ethereal scream escaped its mouth and shook the earth.
