Chapter 5: In the Void

It's dark. It's so dark that I can't even see my own body. I can't smell, hear, or touch anything. If I'm in the void, then only death awaits me. So much for reincarnation. I heard an alarming sound and a voice.

*BREEP!* *BREEP!*

[Warning! You are inside the Void! Physical and Spiritual body erosion imminent!]

Ah, since I'm in there, it's no surprise. Wait...I can hear it?

*Ping!*

[You are of the Undefined race, erosion averted.]

[Your power increases in this realm.]

"I am of the Undefined race? Erosion averted?" I said, confused. I'm an Undefined? And my power increases there? I rack my brain trying to figure out why am I here alive and well in the void, but a voice broke the silence.

"A human..." a voice said in a whisper.

"Human resist...Void Erosion...?" another one said, but it's speech is broken.

"Who's there?" I said, looking around.

"His body is that of a human, yet he is one of us." another voice said.

"Wait...I'm one of you?" I said.

"That you are, Alden Gray." one voice said, deep and ominous unlike the other whispers.

"Who are you? You know my name?" I said, alarmed.

"We are everywhere, yet nowhere. We are everything, yet nothing. We are definite, yet indefinite." the voice said. After all that, it's still dark and I can't see, but as my eyes get used to it, I see a tall figure. A tall silver figure, it has eyes, but there were no eyeballs. Its horns are large and have an irregular shape and angles. Its claws are long and skeletal and its feet are similar to its hands. Lastly, its mouth has a menacing grin that reaches to the ears with a row of sharp, misshapen teeth. "We are the Undefined, The Discarded, The Forgotten." It said then spreads its long arms wide.

"My name is Argeizeth. Welcome, Alden Gray, the one banished by the gods to the Enigma Realm." it said. Then more unknown entities appeared before me.

To anyone, it should be terrifying, but to me...it's fascinating. I should be screaming out of my mind of bloody murder and have a mental breakdown, but I'm not scared.

"The reason you are not scared and live here is because, you are a part of us. Any other race would erode to nothing, even if it's a Deity." Argeizeth said.

"How did you know my name? I never heard of any of you." I said.

"The moment you were born. We watched you complete Evolutionism: Zero Domain, reaching 100% completion rate. Along with Evolutionism: Abyssal Rondo." one white creature said with hundreds of eyes with tentacles.

"When I was born?! But I was human!" I yelled, "I was born an eldritch fuck shit!?"

"You were born human. Your desire is the cause for this change." Argeizeth replied.

"Wait...those are the games I played before Grand Scale..." I said, remembering the games years before Grand Scale. "When did I become an Undefined?"

"The moment before you died of radiation. Your desire to become like us manifested in you. Along with your skills including Heat Resistance, Cold Resistance, Poison Resistance, Radiation Resistance, Pain Nullification, and Regeneration." Argeizeth replied. I was stunned. They knew me when I was born?

I began to think about my friends. Andre, Ashley, and Danny will be taking it rough without me around.

"Then...my friends..." I said.

"Andre, Ashley, and Danny lives on and mourn for you. Your rebellion was a success, but the recovery is long. Your parents? Didn't even cared if you died since you cut them off." Argeizeth said.

"Figures...my siblings?" I said, sighing.

"Will be devastated for your departure."

"Yeah...so I did meet Aru-" Before I finished my sentence, Argeizeth quickly covered my mouth with its lanky hands.

"Apologies, but this Deity that banished you must not be named here. Look." Argeizeth said, pointing his finger at a figure that is floating, but crouched over. Its body is thinner than Argeizeth, but it has two blue arms and purple claws.

"That is Lamenziru, they name him The Hateful One. One time that name was heard, he went into a fit of rage screaming her name, cursing her name. Otherwise, he is calm." Argeizeth said with concern.

"Noted." I said.

"So, about her. She became obsessed with the word 'order' when one of ours crossed over, thus causing the order to crumble." Argeizeth said.

"Oh I know that your kind went through. What its name?" I said.

"Ira'xan. They named her, The Great Invader since she entered the Material Realm via creating a rift. This is what she looked like by entering the Material Realm." Argeizeth, made a gesture to the floating white mass with eyeballs. The life form blinked its single large eye, emitting a purple glow and erected a hologram. It has shown me a pale bluish skinned woman with long hair...wait...those are tentacles! Then I see her forming a massive army.

"Do know that this is not her true form. If she goes in her true form, the Deities would know and intervene. But her power was enough to alert them. After a huge fight, she was banished to our realm." Argeizeth said. "She is alive, but heavily weakened. The reason she still lives because of the Astral Nucleus."

"Astral Nucleus? Oh, the part where it is exclusive to Hellkins, Heavenkins, Elementals, and Deities." I said since I remember having one in game. Since these people have who are in the Material Realm don't have one, but those in different realms do. Killing their physical bodies will banish them to their respective realms, killing their spiritual bodies does the same, but greatly weakens them. However, if their Astral Nucleus is destroyed, a circular object, their existence shall fade away, killing them permanently, but finding it is near impossible.

"Correct." Argeizeth nodded.

"So, how am I supposed to get to the Material Realm like that?" I said.

"To do so, you need tremendous amounts of magic to crossover. However, once you crossover, you'll lose all the power you have accumulated, your memories of us, your past life, and your real body." Argeizeth warned me.

"What do you mean, my real body and memories?" I said.

"If you enter the Material Realm as you are now, you'll scare away the inhabitants. Besides, you've already changed." Argeizeth said and summoned a frame-less mirror, but rectangular. What transformed now was not just my eyes that turned, it was my entire body. My entire skin is pitch black, spikes protruded through my shoulders, elbows, and knees, and my hairstyle is no longer dreadlocks, but a long wild ash gray. My hands and feet are claws that'll put every rake to shame.

"Allow me to further explain the crossover and skills and remember them well." Argeizeth said. It seems I have little time to gawk at my transformation at this point.
