Chapter 45: This is Obviously a Panda

Big brother Jinhan took out the map that the Village Chief gave us. Big brother Gallahan couldn't be bothered to compete with him regarding this, saying that he wasn't that proficient in map reading.

I knew how to read maps as well but it looked like big brother Jinhan could handle it himself already so I chose to just leave him be. Sister Emily also didn't comment on it hence I was reassured that he knew what he was supposed to do.

The sunlight dimmed considerably when we entered the forest. We followed a path snaking through the trees. The Village Chief said that it was well-travelled and I could see that quite obviously. The grasses were bare on the path. I guess it's the natural instinct of people to feel assure with such an obvious mark since it means safety. But I still tried to be alert. You can never have enough assurances in the wild.
