Chapter 33: Clash of fire & ice 2

"I pray he's clean. God please I pray he's clean?" Abby was unconsciously muttering to herself. Perhaps because she had the earpods on she didn't know she was speaking louder than necessary.

'Oh great! Now she's talking to herself!' Tunde wondered in amusement while he watched her muttered to herself with her eyes closed.

"What did you say?" He asked loudly to snap her out of the realm she was in.

"What!?" Abby opened her eyes and snapped at him.

"You were saying something just now, I just wondered..." He didn't manage to finish what he was saying before he was cut off mid-sentence.

"I wasn't talking to you. I was hoping and praying to God that you're clean" she replied shamelessly while taking her earphones off.

"Clean?... What do you mean by you were praying to God that I am clean? Clean of what!?" He asked in confusion.

"We had unprotected sex, and since this is my first time doing it, I guess you have nothing to worry about me giving you STI but I'm not so sure about you. So please, is there anything I should be worried about?"

'Unprotected sex!... He had never had unprotected sex with any woman before in his life. No matter how aroused he was, he always remembers the condom.

It's funny how he lost his senses and never thought of using protection while with this girl! What if she got pregnant!? I swear this girl is a witch! God, I've been bewitched!' He thought and sneered.

"Isn't that question a bit late? Like you're taking medicine after you're already dead... That's kinda stupid don't you think?" he scoffed

"Whatever! Why couldn't you have thought of a condom before doing it!?" She asked accusingly.

"I guessed the same reason that made you moaned out in pleasure, also distracted me." He smiled and winked at her mockingly.

"Can you just answer my question!"

"Can you just shut the fuck up, put that thing back in your ears and continue listening to your stupid, imaginary music!" He said furiously with irritation, the smile on his face instantly disappeared.

"You are crazy and I hate you!" She shouted, shaking with anger.

"Oh yeah?...but that wasn't the song you were singing on my bed earlier was it, with your 'ohhh you're killing me' cries of pleasure huh?"

"Park, let me out!"

"Again with that!? Really!? You are seriously becoming unbearable! What the fuck is the matter with you!? It was just sex! Why the fuck you making a mountain out of a molehill for!? Getting your panties in a twist over nothing! Grow the fuck up please!" He shouted at her with all the built up anger and frustration he had towards her.

"It was just sex!" She whispered bitterly. She felt as if a bucket of cold water was poured over her body.

"Yes, it was just sex! What the hell were you expecting... A marriage proposal? He asked, looking at her coldly with narrowed eyes.

'I warned you didn't I?' the voice in her head came back to taunt her.

Abby thought of the possibilities of it being just sex, but hearing him shout it to her with anger and frustrations killed her many times over inside. Cold hand of fear gripping her heart tightly.

'What have I done to myself!? God what have I done to myself." She thought bitterly'

"I HATE YOU!" She said to him bitterly. Shaking with anger.

"Yeah, that's not new sweetheart. I heard you the first time you said it, so pick a number and join the long line of insensitive girls like you." He replied coldly without emotion.

Her eyes welled up with tears that threatened to fall right then, she couldn't hold it in anymore so she turned towards the window to hide her face away from him, she didn't want him to see her cry again.

It's kind of frustrating the way tears fall from her eyes without restraint. Abby, though strong and fierce, was a highly emotional person. She feels things more deeply and for a longer period than the average person.

She's the type that cries during movies and she finds it very difficult to hold her tears, especially when she feels overwhelmed by her emotions. Crying is just about the only thing she hated about herself. Julianna said it's because she was born as ¹Aina.

"Will you please, please stop crying!?" He said with frustration, now deeply regretting his outburst. "Why are you trying to make me feel like a monster that took advantage of you?" He asked, even though he was still seething, it still felt painful to see her cry.

"Go fuck yourself, bastard!" She said still not looking at him. Her chest heaving as she struggled to control her breathing.

"Okay think of it this way... Maybe your virginity was meant for me to take... You know, like I was destined to be your first?..." He said with a smile.

"Oh God, what a mad man! Ode oshi! Agbaya!" she was so enraged by him... she didn't know when she switched to insulting him in Yoruba.

'How can I be attracted to such a cold-hearted man? What kind of misfortune is this, God? He never had anything nice to say. All the words that comes out of his mouth are poisonous.'

'Guess I deserve that.' He thought to himself when he heard what she said in Yoruba.

"I'm sure you wouldn't want your boyfriend to see your face all swollen up and ugly." He said placatingly in a bid to calm her down.

She neither reply nor faces him she had made up her mind not to talk to him for the rest of the drive. It's obvious she's no match for him. She would only end up hurting herself if she continues to trade words with him because his counterattacks are always deadly.

Instead of replying, she just gave him the fuck you middle finger.

'Women!... They are better kept at arm's length.' He thought and sighed deeply.

"Hey, your boyfriend is calling you" he mockingly called out to Abby when her phone lit up and started ringing silently. The phone had fallen from her lap to the chair beside her when she turned away from him.

Abby wondered why her phone keeps going to silent mode automatically. She saw from the caller ID that it was her brother calling.

[Hello] she answered the phone dejectedly

[Where are you?...told you not to be late.]

[I'm almost by the gate. Where are you parked?]

[Outside the gate by the entrance... Hey, are you okay?] He asked when he noticed her voice sounded low.

[I'm good...we'll talk better when I get there.]

[Alright then]

"Are you going to tell him?" Tunde asked jealously after Abby was through with her call.

"..."

His question was greeted with silence.

"Well I hope he doesn't forgive you if he gets to know another man was there before him." He said bluntly. The statement just sort of slipped out of his mouth and he wondered when he started becoming petty and especially to woman.

~°~

¹Aina means 'not to be beaten.' In Yoruba. The name is given to a female child that has her umbilical cord tied around her neck at birth. Aina(s) always have a bit of a problem with coping with emotional situations and tend to cry over small things.
