Chapter 5: Stepping Into A Low Grade Wildzone Alone
Noticing that it was only 2:30pm after taking a quick glance at the time, Joshua immediately decided to take a short trip into the same Low Grade Wildzone as of yesterday and back before night fall.
Upon receiving a mental command from Joshua, the Metallic Python who was long lost in enjoyment of Joshua's caressing reluctantly wrapped it's four and a half metres long body around him.
If anyone else caught sight of such a scene, he or she would have concluded that the Metallic Python wanted to 'Entagle' Joshua before swallowing him.
Even Joshua himself couldn't stop his heart from skipping a beat out of fear but he quickly controlled himself since he couldn't sense any feeling of hostility from this his new and only Tamed Beast.
By this time, the Metallic Python long body had completely wrapped it's body around Joshua's body with it's head laying on his left chest from across his right shoulder.
The Metallic Python body slowly turned transparent and some ten seconds later, it completely transformed into a life-like snake tattoo drawn across Joshua's upper body.
"Ten seconds huh...? Seems like I would have to spare a bit of effort in training my connection with her in order to shorten the amount of time required to summon her as much as possible".
"I wonder what I should call her, Vivian? Nah! Sharon? Nah! Ehmmm.... This appears to be harder than I thought, guess I'll have to spend sometime thinking of something good later" Joshua keep on muttering while admiring his new tattoo.
In as much as Joshua wanted to name his Metallic Python, he had no idea about what to call it, or in this case, her, as he had discovered it to be a she after establishment of their Taming Contract.
Wearing a brown leather made trouser, white coloured woven shirt and also a brown leather made knee long coat. Joshua then swung a two metre long pole made from Iron wood on his back and confidently left his house, taking a carriage to the village northern gate, he then easily exited it thanks to his student I.D card serving as proof of his existence as a Rank One Beast Apprentice.
Maybe, if this was still the formal Joshua of this world, the very idea of stepping his foot inside the wilderness as the land outside of all human settlements were called alone would have scared who knows what out of him.
However this wasn't the case, because he was Joshua of Earth, the very same Joshua who had becomed a wildlife hunter at the tender age of fifteen in order to earn a living for himself after the untimely death of his both parents.
Following the footsteps of his late parents who were both famous wildlife's hunters, Joshua had spent just two years growing from a complete novice into an expert and another eight years remaining as one.
Therefore, stepping Into the wilderness for him felt as if he was a fish returning into the sea or a baby returning into his mother warm embrace.
Joshua nevertheless, didn't become careless or overconfident since he also knew very well how different and dangerous the wilderness in this world was when compared to the forest of Earth.
And so, he immediately summoned his Metallic Python the very moment he stepped his foot outside of the village gate.
Turning a blind eye and deaf ear to all the amazed expression and whispering crowd outside the village gate with him, Joshua instantly commanded her to move forward while he followed closely behind.
A few seconds later, both man and Beast had totally disappeared from the sight of the spectating crowd.
Standing within these spectating crowd were soldiers from the village milltary who were in charge of maintaining security at the northern gates and standing at the very end of this group of soldiers was a stern looking middle aged man with a slim build who wore a captain rank armband on his upper left arm.
The captain took out what looked like a phone while not being one at the same time and called an unknown number before speaking "Sir, please, help me pass a message to the young miss that the person she had ordered us to be on the look out for has just left the village and stepped into the wilderness immediately after summoning a Tamed Beast of the Python species but an unknown subspecies.
"Alright, I will do just that" responded the person on the other side of the phone after keeping silent for a couple of seconds.
Ending the call, the captain was just about to put away his phone when it rang back from the same number he had just called.
"Hello, sir"
"Listen captain, the young miss has ordered that you organise a team of three to be on standby just incase that young man doesn't return to the village by night fall. They will have to head inside the Wildzone to retrieve him alive or even as a corpse, either way, he must be brought back"
The unknown voice solemnly said on the phone before ending the call without the captain getting the chance to alter another word.
Feeling surprised about the nature of such an order, the captain couldn't help but wonder inwardly; "Just who in the world is that young man? Could it be that he is....!!!"
Cutting his thoughts half way, the captain didn't dare to let it wander any further as he quickly ordered his best men to form a temporary team of three made up of a Rank Five Beast Apprentice and two Rank Four Beast Apprentice to get ready to move out at any moment from now.
Meanwhile, as all these was taking place, clueless Joshua as usual was cautiously making his way through the thick vegetation and trees of the wilderness. After fumbling around for about half an hour, Joshua finally arrived at the outer region of the Low Grade Wildzone and upon arriving here, he became more cautious.
As for how Joshua knew that he had just stepped into this Low Grade Wildzone, this was easy, because apart from the signboard warning hanging on some of the trees he had walked passed earlier, the area inside the Low Grade Wildzone had a higher density and purity of origin energy than the area outside of it.
And this was to the extent that even a Rank One Beast Apprentice such as Joshua could easily notice it as long as he paid attention to his environment. What's more, because of these denser and purer origin energy, not only were the trees and plants inside the Wildzone more vibrant than those outside of it, they were all full of vitality.
Growl....!!!
The angry growl of a Beast was soon heard by Joshua just a few minutes after he had stepped foot inside the Low Grade Wildzone. And without any hesitation, he order his Metallic Python to head in that direction.
Thanks to his past ten years experience from Earth, Joshua could easily tell that from the nature of the growl he had just heard. It's source was in an angry mood and what else apart from a Beast of the same calibre would be capable of provoking another equally powerful Beast.
And so, he immediately decided to fish in muddy waters.
