Chapter 34: Woman Behind The Counter

I am standing here with Captain Taylor in his office. I am busy handing over our file of evidence that we have collected for the robbery case. One question that the Captain has asked me, makes me extremely uncomfortable. I look at the Captain, unsure of what he expects me to answer him, I say;

"Sir, he is a confidential informant and he wishes to have his identity withheld from any reports. Any particular reason why do you ask, sir?"

"No, not really, I was only asking. This bust we had today, was largely thanks to him. I just wondered if he could get some more credible information that can help us take more of these gangs of the street"

"Yeah I wish that too sir, but he told me that it was the last time that he wanted to help. He could be killed for asking the wrong questions"

"I did not think of it in that way, I get it, Detective. Was there something else you needed?"

"No sir"
