Chapter 3: Chapter 3: The Silent Mary! Pirates Established!
A month passed since Rain and his crews stayed on Torino Kingdom. All this time, they were treated with the best hospitality.
Rain had also made Lacy to study for medicines in their library. He also trained them in all the free time. Nemu had already started using haki from Rain's training methods provided by the system.
"Guys! We've stayed here for long. So, we'll be leaving tomorrow." Rain told them while resting after a hard training. All of them nodded in agreement. At that moment, Lacy's small voice sounded, "U~Um Captain! I want to take some rare herb plants to our ship. So, is it better for us to make a new ship, a little bigger than the previous one?"
"Ok! You might have a point there. Since, it's already four of us, maybe we should use that ship." Rain replied after a long thought and decided to use that ship.
"That ship? Do we have another ship? Nemu, do you know?" Pascia was slightly confused. Was there another ship with them? Why didn't they find it till now?
Nemu didn't answer and all looked at Rain with a puzzled look waiting for an explanation. Seeing them, Rain turned and started walking towards the coast to summon the ship.
"Follow me! I'll show you our new ship."
"Coming! Captain!"
Soon, they reached the coast and Rain immediately summoned the ship in his storage.
"Captain!? There's nothing he~ What...!!?"
They wanted to ask in confusion but stopped as they could see the sea around started boiling.
A huge shadow appeared from under the sea and finally a huge black ship directly emerged from the sea and landed properly on the sea surface.
The ship was quite huge with broken ribs like the jaws of some giant sea. The gangways and railing were still intact and there were three big mast standing tall. The ship's figurehead located beneath the bowsprit, showed a woman holding a sprear. The greater galleries were adorned with two towers, giving the ship's stern the appearance of old castle. The ship more looked like a skeleton with those ribs but it still floated on the sea defying the law of physics. The ship was the legendary 'Silent Mary'.
"Well! Is it the cursed version? Hehe... Looks like we got ourselves a monster...!" Rain was amazed seeing the appearance of the ship and soon showed an evil smile. Their new ship would soon forge it's legend in this world too.
"It's so huge and scary! And it can sail underwater...!?"
"Even though it's ribs are opened, it's still floating!!"
The crews were all dumbfounded looking at the huge skeleton structured ship. There was only one sentence buzzing inside their heads: 'Very scary but it's fucking awesome!!'
Suddenly, the bow bended upwards reaching the cliff Rain's group were standing forming a bridge for them.
"What!!? It moved...!!? It's like a living monster!!"
They were again shocked looking at the bending ship with wide eyes. 'Did the ship just climbed up the cliff?'
"Don't call her 'it'! It's a 'she' and her name's 'The Silent Mary' who'll be sailing with us from today. A legendary cursed ship, there's the soul of the ship residing inside..." Rain explained while touching the face of the figurehead woman with an evil grin.
"The soul of the ship!? So the ship's alive!?"
Rain only nodded to their question which shocked them once again.
"Ok then! Let's go check our new ship!"
Rain and the others walked on the bridge and landed on the deck of the ship. Looking around, they could see that the ship looked quite new. The wooden floor was still intact and good. They started checking the anterior of the ship and found that they were all good as new. Then, they went inside the ship to check the interior.
The interior was quite amazing with several room, a large kitchen, a large main hall, a big library, a large storage room, training room and also a closable glass gallery inside protected by the ribs.
They ship had about 100 cannons stationed at different location and the other accessories were still mysterious and hadn't yet explored yet.
"Ok guys! Let's load up the goods. Lacy and Pascia, you bring the saplings of the herbs and plant it in the garden on the poop deck. Me and Nemu will load the supplies."
"Ok! Captain!"
Soon, they all started doing their own works and after a day, they finally completed preparing for their journey. Rain also took some books about hundreds of them chosen by Lacy. He told the natives, "I'm taking these books and will show the world, the skills and importance of the Torino Kingdom!"
Yes, that's what he said which the natives agreed immediately. Even though they refuse, Rain don't mind 'taking them by force'...
The next day, Rain's crew were ready to set sail. All the books were kept in the library and the herbs were also planted in the garden on the poop deck.
The foods and other supplies were transported from their previous boat. Finally, they were fully prepared to start their journey as a pirate.
"Captain! We're ready to sail anytime!" Nemu shouted as he was eager to steer the wheel of their new ship.
"Ok guys! From now on, we'll continue our journey and sail through the sea as pirates. Nemu has already prepared our flag... From today, we'll be the 'Legacy Pirates'...! Do you hear me!?" Rain's loud words echoed through the whole ship. The crews started to get excited thinking of the adventures with Rain waiting for them.
"Aye! Captain!! We heard you loud and clear...!!"
"Good! Release the sails! From today, we become the 'Legacy Pirates'...!"
As soon as Rain's voice echoed, the sails were immediately released revealing their own Jolly Roger with devil skulls and angel wings.
The Silent Mary started moving and finally began it's first voyage on the sea.
After leaving the Torino Kingdom, Rain started sailing towards their next island 'Baterilla', the birthplace of Ace. But as they sailed forward, they were noticed by a marine warship patrolling around.
*Da da da...
A marine officer suddenly rushed inside the office and reported to their captain in charge,
"Reporting Captain! We've spotted a pirate ship on the East side!"
"Tch! Another one? These bastards have been increasing day by day. Start moving! We'll capture them!"
"Understood!"
The officer immediately informed the others and their warship started heading towards the pirate ship.
Looking at the approaching warship, Rain slightly smirked. He turned back and said with an excited tone, "Guys! Let me show you the horror of Mary!
Nemu! Sail towards that marine warship!"
"Understood!"
They also turned their rudder and headed towards the approaching marine warship.
"Eh!? The pirate ship is heading this way?"
"Are they finally surrendering themselves?"
The marines were quite confused at the action of the pirates in front but still moved forward. They had about 100 marines boarding the ship, so they were confident in their strength.
Finally the two galleon were facing each other but the pirate ship was still coming forward.
"What are they doing? Are they trying to crash on us?"
They were slightly nervous but the scene they thought didn't occur. Instead, a shocking scene appeared! The huge pirate ship's bowed backwards and the ship's strange ribs started opening which looked like the jaws of some giant sea monster.
At that moment, a tall figure stood at the top staring at them with death eyes and they all heard his cold voice which made them trembled.
"Eat them up! Mary..."
As soon as Rain's cold voice echoed, the standing jaws suddenly fell down and directly crushed the marine warship into pieces like a monster biting its prey...
"WHAT!!?"
*Boom!
The huge galleon was immediately crushed by the jaw-like ribs of Silent Mary instantly swallowing them whole. A huge explosion occured under Silent Mary but not even a scratch could be seen on Mary's skeleton body. The huge galleon was eaten in an instant!
"That was fucking cool!" Nemu shouted with shining eyes. He had completely lost his coolness seeing the amazing scene. Both girls were also speechless, even their ship was cold-blooded?
Then, the Silent Mary slowly sailed away from the scene and disappeared to the horizon. The marines were all crushed to death and only one of them was floating in the sea supporting on a piece of wood. The man was shivering in horror looking at the disappearing Mary continuously muttering only a single word from his mouth,
"M~Monster... It's a monster...!!"
From that day onwards, a horror tale about a monster ship which can eat other ships will soon spread throughout the world...
Everyone who heard the story named the ship~"The Cursed Ship"....
