Chapter 23: Do you dare? III
Fuji's senses recognized every change in the vicinity and he trained those very well, since his childhood.
„Sir, could I know your name as well?"
The man stared at Fuji and his glance spoke of caution.
After some minutes, he decided to reveal his name, „My name is Yuito."
His facial expression seemed gentle and it looked similar to the woman's expression. Fuji grinned and he got a grasp of the idea, that is happening.
„Let me bring some tea!"
The woman noticed the good mood and stood up to bring tea for the both of them.
„Fuji, may I know how you ended up unconscious in the middle of the forest?"
Fuji wanted to put the cooked meat in his mouth, but halted in his advance and gazed at Yuito with immense prudence.
He didn't have much time for creating a suiting story and explanation of the occurrence.
„I don't remember it completely, however, I was on the way passing trough the forest, but because of private circumstances, it forced me further into the forest and resulted into an attack of robbers. They left me unharmed, in exchange, for everything in my possession and what they did to knock me off, is a mystery to myself."
Yuito widened his eyes and immediately stood up from his chair with determination written on his face. He glanced at Fuji in pity, „I understand. We will take care of you, you poor boy!"
He rushed to Fuji and embraced him. Fuji almost didn't get any breath anymore and the woman came in with a teapot floating over her hand, but her smile stopped, when she saw Yuito suffocating Fuji.
„What are you doing?!"
She pulled him back and was shocked, once she saw Yuito's consoling facial expression. She arched her eyebrow and questioned, „Can you explain this confusing event?"
Yuito put his left hand on her left shoulder and clenched his right fist, „Ema, this poor boy suffered a lot and was attacked by bandits!"
Fuji noted mentally down the name of her as Ema and was surprised, that his up made story worked well.
Ema masked her surprised mouth with her right hand, while putting the teapot on the dining table and gazed at Fuji in sympathy.
She left Yuito's side and approached Fuji. She placed her hand on Fuji's head and patted him gently, „Don't worry, we will be taking care of you!"
Although the kind smile and perfect scenery would be a heartwarming portrayal, none of it mattered to Fuji and he thought of their potential use, but also of their cleansing.
„Thank you very much!"
His new life begun with the sweet smile of Fuji and in the following days, his fake emotions built a relationship with the couple. They showed him multiple things of the forest, but one thing surprised Yuito.
„You don't have any cultivation base?"
In the forecourt, Yuito was bewildered and never expected something like that to find. He rubbed his forehead and his eyes briefly widened.
„I got it! How about I help you out?"
„I would be thankful!"
„Follow me, then!"
Yuito headed back into the house and walked upstairs to the second floor. He opened a old door in the hallway and entered a messy room with Fuji in tow.
„There it is!"
The room was filled with nothingness, but with one object and spider webs. Yuito walked to a transparent long stick and once Yuito held it in his hand, the material seemed to be glass.
„Hehe, let me explain this baby!"
Yuito stood up and presented with honor the transparent long stick, „It's an artifact of my family and is being used for the talented children of the imperial family! It can awaken the cultivation base, but it also let's the cultivator get the grasp of it's attached element and achieve a specific degree of control."
Yuria was honestly astonished, but not only because of the importance of the artifact, but the origin of it, which is the imperial family.
This means, the artifact has a significance to the imperial family and therefore, Yuito is either a descendant of the imperial family or a very strong thief.
Anyways, Fuji couldn't bother with it, since he can make use of this artifact for the beginning of his cultivation.
„Wow, this is so cool, but is it really okey?"
The pretended reaction of amazement satisfied Yuito and he spoke in a serious tone, „However, you will only get one try and don't overdo it, otherwise the result could be your death. Don't put your life at risk for progress, understood?"
„Yes, yes!"
Thus, Yuito gave his consent and Fuji agreed to his conditions, but obviously it was only orally and didn't have any meaning to Fuji.
Ema headed to the city earlier today and concealed her hair with a pink cloth. Fuji knew of their situation, but didn't handle it yet.
„Sit there and grasp it."
Back in the forecourt, Yuito pointed with his index at the ground and indicated for Fuji to sit down, while holding the transparent long stick.
„What now?"
Fuji obeyed and sat on the ground, awaiting an explanation.
„Concentrate all your senses on the transparent long stick and navigate the force in the stick into your body. If you succeeded, then you may feel fatigued, but bear with it and you need to be very careful on this part."
Yuito gazed at me with seriousness and only proceeded with the explanation, after I nodded.
„You will have to control the force with your own body, but don't try to dominate it, because it can cause a lethal backlash on the cultivator. If you managed to control it, the force should be in a tranquil state and will open a Dantian. If you're lucky, then you could upgrade your bloodline as well, but that happened very rarely and don't put your hopes up."
