Rei Talmos
Rei was a rather normal guy, on one hand, he was pretty sociable and had a few friends that shared a similar interest in anime, games, DnD.
On another hand, something was never quite right about how he looked at life, a bit too logical his friends said.
Rei thought it was because of how he grew up, his father was a strict, but caring man. He didn't quite show it normally but did so in his own way. His mother wasn't a part of the picture.
His father taught him many things, how to be strong, how to hold your emotions in check, how to be sturdy and strong-willed against the tide. He taught Rei how life is difficult and will throw many hard balls at him, and he prepared him for each one. He taught him about cars, about life, and most importantly, he taught him how to be a gentleman, how to properly approach not only life but others as well. To know the difference between being kind, and being walked over.
"Be kind, but take no shit."
His father made that the very essence of all things he did. He was kind where he could, but he was like a sturdy wall when he needed to be.
From a young age, Rei knew he was 'Unavailable.' in some way, not all his emotions worked in the normal sense. He could feel them, but some of them simply didn't register properly. His fear was there, but he didn't jump or shake, he didn't feel the omniscient pressure that came with fear, it was a simple thing, saying whatever it was, made him fearful, but it didn't affect his actions or mind, the same with depression, anxiety, or stress. He was great at performing under stressful situations and excelled at them.
His father never worried, simply saying everyone has their flaws, everyone has their strengths, and everyone has their weakness. But it was up to Rei to make all of them work to his benefit, so he did.
He grew up to be a straight-A student, he graduated top of his Class for both Highschool and College, he had become a Doctor of Medicine, focused on surgery for the first part, excelling due to the stress of having a human life under his hands. He lost patients, he saved some, and he performed what others called miracles. But the stress never got to him.
Then when he felt he had excelled enough, he became a therapist after some more schooling. His mind and logical thinking allowed him to process things and help others through such things, helping them become the best they could be. But just because he was bust, doesn't mean he didn't live his own life.
He felt love, and lost it, he found friends, and even some more family, he had a pleasant life.
It wasn't until one night when his friends were all brainstorming of a new DnD campaign focused around a reincarnated party seeking to right their wrongs that the question came around.
''What would you do if you have reincarnated Rei?''
Rei rubbed his beard in thought over this as he thought. He had finally come to a conclusion a bit later.
''Well, I've lived my life, I've had fun of course, but I focused hard on making my life good, and enjoyable. I think if I reincarnated it, I would let loose a bit, do what I could get funky, you know? Just, do what I wanted, do what I enjoy, maybe become some blood-craved psychopath, I'll just leave it to what I feel at the time.''
They all had a good laugh and a good few hours over to the topic. They all decided that they would do the same, some strived to be some OP guy with all the woman in the world, even the ugly ones, others simply wished to live a good and fulfilling life then settle down, and one said he'd pull a Zeus and fuck anything he could, all in good fun of course.
Little did they know, however...
