Chapter 3: Chapter 2

As soon as Nick got off from the elevator, he saw Jay standing by his corvette like a model in his all black tuxedo with his hair brushed backwards. While Nick is in his bright blue button up long sleeves and a cream colored slacks that is loose fit paired with a white sneakers.

“Hey Nick.” Jay called him with a smile plastered in his face.

“Hey,” he replied while biting his bottom lip. He stilled when Jay opened the door for him.

“What? Hop in.” Jay said to him calmly. It was like Jay had a very good day, and he was happy about it. “You look good.” Jay said to him when their faces nearly touched and winked when he was now sitting in the passenger seat.

His face heated up when Jay said that to him. He watched Jay go around to the driver’s seat. When Jay is now seated in the driver’s seat he didn’t even realize he’s still staring at the man seated next to him.

Jay snapped his fingers in front of his face, “Hey, you done staring?” Jay said with a smirk on his face.

Nick looked away as he felt his face heat up.

“Buckle up. We’re going to be late if you just continue staring at me.” He said in a sarcastic tone.

When Nick was now buckled up, Jay started the engine and left the parking space hurriedly.

As they pass through the streets, silence reigned over them.

“I’m resigning.” Nick said calmly to Jay.

Suddenly Jay stepped on the break that made his head nearly touched the head board of the car. “You what?!” Jay said to him with his voice in clear annoyance.

“Are you nuts?! You nearly killed me! Do you want to be my cause of death?!” Nick shouted at Jay. “I just said that I’m going to resign. So why react like that?” Nick said.

“No, you’re not going to resign.” Jay whispered to himself.

“What?” Nick asked Jay.

No, please. You’re not going to leave me. Jay thought to himself while keeping a serious face.

Once again, silence reigned over the car. Until they arrived at the party. Multiple flashes of camera clicked when Jay step out of the car. So, Nick, being a secretary he just swift through the crowd.

Multiple bodyguards guarded Jay for him to be able to enter the venue. When Jay entered the venue, he was looking for Nick. When he found Nick, Jay grabbed Nick’s arm and drag Nick away from the crowd still welcoming at them.

Jay seated to the seat at the corner of the venue, beside him is Nick. When a waiter offered them a wine Jay nodded. Jay drank the wine in just one drink.

“Jay, slow down. You still have to talk to these people.” Nick warned Jay. But Jay being grumpy, he still called a waiter and get a wine.

As annoyance reigned over Nick, he left the table he was with Jay because he know that the man would not listen to him. So he just go to the table where his co-secretary/friends are. Since they run in the same circle, everyone of them got together and made friends.

“Nick, you’re here!” his friend Annalisa clapped in glee when it saw him coming over to their table. “What’s with that look? Huh?” Annalisa asked him when it saw his face.

“Just nothing.” He shook his head when he replied to Annalisa. “Just my boss being grumpy again.” He answered with a bored expression.

“Then don’t put your attention to him. Even me, I just let my boss hang around with his friends. Don’t put your attention all over him and just enjoy this party.” Annalisa advised him.

“I can’t, he’s my boss and I’m worried over him. He’s drinking over and over again. I can’t understand him.” He complained to Annalisa.

“I can’t understand too. If what is wrong with him or you.” Annalisa just shook her head. “Here, drink, and just let it go.” Annalisa offered him a drink.

Since he can’t drink too much, he just sips from the goblet.

IT was now quarter to 11 when Nick is looking for Jay everywhere. When he found Jay sitting with girls on his every side whispering everything they could tell with Jay’s arms over their shoulder, he ran towards the bathroom as he felt throwing up. He couldn’t understand why every time he sees Jay with flirty women on Jay’s side he just feels throwing up.

Suddenly, the door swung open, Jay attended to him and patted his back.

“Nick, are you okay?” worry is clear on his voice as Nick continues to throw up. “Did you drink too much?” he asked Nick and is still worried about the boy.

Finally, Nick calmed down and wiped his face with his face with towel.

“No, I’m just feeling sick. Can I go home now?” he asked Jay weakly.

“Sure but I’m going to drive you there.” Jay offers his help to Nick.

“No, I can go alone. Just stay here. I can handle myself.” He replied.

“No, Nick you can’t be thick headed now.” Jay grabbed Nick’s arm and dragged him outside where his car is parked.

"I’m going to drive you home and you can’t refuse to it.” Jay commanded him.

Nick just hopped in the car and buckled up as he didn’t have the energy to put up with Jay.

Nick just felt his eyes closed as soon as the car left the place.

Jay’s POV

When Jay had seen Nick running towards the comfort room, he quickly followed the boy. He opened the door and saw the boy in the sink throwing up. He patted Nick’s back.

Worriedness ransacked his mind quickly and asked questions to the boy. Finally when Nick stopped throwing up, he decided to take the boy home.

As soon as they left the place, he felt Nick sleeping. He stared at him quickly and drive the boy home. When they reached Nick’s home, he felt not to wake up the boy anymore and just carried him in a bridal style. As soon as he reached the boy, the door swung open and it’s brother, Stephen, shown up.

“Hey, Jay. Why you carrying Nick?” Stephen asked.

“Just let me in and where’s his room?” Jay asked quickly as he felt soreness in his arms.

“Oh sorry, come in. His room’s in the second floor, left side.” Stephen said as he gave him the directions.

Jay found the door and opened it and lay Nick on the bed.

'I’m sorry, baby for what I acted tonight.'
