Chapter 54: Chapter 54: If you can’t beat them drop an Atomic Bomb on them.

~Third POV~

After the fight was over as well as given a day of rest Jason wasn't feeling well on his victory as he began to research more about the people he was bound to face when he was at full strength again.

Currently the next day in the middle of the night Jason quickly went over to his room as he began to open up a small screen using his bracelet to view anything and all contents about Jed from his world information as well more on <On>.

<On> is one of the defining features of the movie Hunter × Hunter: The Last Mission. It is the opposite of Nen.

Instead of utilizing life energy, the aura from <On> is derived from hatred and can be considered 'death energy.' <On> grants one immense strength, with each user being able to utilize abilities similar to Nen at 100% efficiency.

Unlike Nen, this aura is said to be the stronger of the two and has no categories; meaning, one who masters <On> has the ability of an Enhancer, Transmuter, Conjurer, Emitter, Manipulator, and Specialist.

It can be used after having contact with Jed's blood and making a contract to obtain <On>. However, the use of <On> will kill the user after the user breaks its contract or, most likely, fails the contract Jed, Gaki, Shura, Rengoku, and Gon are all <On> users in the movie

Jed was the leader of the Shadow. He only appears in the movie The Last Mission, in which he is the main antagonist as he was a legendary warrior with a fated relation to Isaac Netero. Originally the leader of the Hunter Association's Shadow organization, he was killed by Isaac Netero after rebelling.

He was revived by his followers: Rengoku, Shura, and Gaki, and wants to take the Black Report back from Netero. In the movie he infiltrates Heavens Arena and manipulates many Hunters and even some Floor Masters, and forces them to use On, he then sends Rengoku to capture Netero.

Once she's done, he takes him to the top of the building and threatens to kill him if the Hunter Association doesn't give him the Black Report. Yet, Gon, along with Killua manages to beat Jed's followers and reaches Jed, who can beat both of them.

During the combat, Jed's blood makes contact with Gon, and so Gon has made a 'Contract' with <On>, who then uses the power of the grudge to fight Jed. However, it isn't enough to beat him, since Jed is on the level of Netero in fighting skills.

Meanwhile, Killua manages to rescue Netero, who used his <100-Type Guanyin Bodhisattva> to fight against Jed and his <The Grudge of One-Hundred Demons: Rakshasa>. The combat is equal until Gon combines his power of Nen and On and kills Jed with his <Jajanken: Rock>. Dying, Jed says that his fight with Netero still has not been settled properly, and he doesn't regret anything.

Reading the information from the movie in the safety of his room Jason narrowed his eyes as he talks to Alter Ego in a serious tone, "Alter Ego search up anything about his allies. We don't need him messing things around this early."

Alter Ego then appeared on the screen as she was in her chibi form as she brings up three screens detailing information about his allies, "Ok sir, these three should be his allies from the movies. Better to not underestimate them, sir, as they were soldiers under Jed's command."

Nodding at this Jason began to read the bios from the information that the movie provided to see where he can begin to get an understanding of them.

Rengoku was a <On> user and previously, a member of the Shadow, which was the Hunter Association's secret operation squad. The squad was annihilated by the chairman Isaac Netero as they began to use <On>.

However, she survived along with Shura and Gaki. Using their hatred, the three revived their leader Jed to destroy the Association and avenge their mates' deaths. The four then forced the Hunter Association to disclose the Black Report to the public.

The next one was about Shura, and Gaki was the same as they were once a part of the Jed team before they were annihilated by Netero.

Taking notice of the lack of information of his world about each character to express a sour look as he talked to himself, "This looks bad. There is hardly any info about their past except for them being a part of the shadow hunter organization. But I can tell they are formidable enemies to face against along with Jed on his side."

Sighing at this Jason slides his finger on the screen to the left to turn it off as he lays down on his bed as tries to think what to do next. Thinking of what to do about the threat of Jed that is around somewhere in the region.

Thinking of other ways to deal with them Jason asked Alter Ego in a defeated tone as he asked hoping of getting his hands on that weapon, "Alter Ego have you figured out where to obtain the clues of where to find the pre-existing bombs of the Poor Man's Rose?"

Answering his question Alter Ego began to answer in a disappointed tone, "Negative sir. All the preexisting bombs have been forbidding of production. It seems that other countries are trying to keep it a secret of the ones they have already existed."

Sighing at this one Jason responded with the disappointment of not getting one. He wanted to get one of those bombs and try to replicate it with his transmuter category as the Poor Man's Rose was an equal counterpart to his world's real-life atomic bomb.

The Poor Man's Rose is a type of low-budget and small weapon of mass destruction that has frightening destructive capabilities. It is cheap and can be mass-produced in short amounts of time and is favored by small dictatorships because of that.

Up until Chairman Netero's battle with the Chimera Ant King, the Poor Man's Rose had 'bloomed' 10 times over in more than 250 countries, taking away the lives of 5,120,000 people. When its usage in the capital during a terrorist attack caused 110,000 deaths, an international treaty was established to forbid any further production.

However, more than 80% of the countries that are possessing the bomb did not dispose of or ban the use of the pre-existing bombs. Currently, hundreds of thousands of Miniature Roses remain.

The Poor Man's Rose can create an immensely powerful explosion that could leave even Meruem on the brink of death. The heat from the explosion is enough to melt stone into lava almost immediately, and the force of the blast is powerful enough to destroy several rock formations that were capable of surviving military arms testing.

The site of the explosion remains incandescent for at least a few minutes after the detonation. The exact distance of the blast radius is currently unknown, but it seems to span the distance of several city blocks.

Those who survive the initial explosion will absorb the poison and suffer internal damage, their organs being destroyed by the rapid uptake of the bomb's deadly poison which is much stronger than other poisons.

The toxin is implied to bring a slow and painful death, eating the victims' bodies away from the inside out while turning them into poisonous agents themselves. The substance in their bodies then apparently leaks like a gas, propagating a vast chain reaction of casualties.

In other words, the poison isn't just lethal, it's also highly contagious. A victim survives just long enough to spread the poison to someone else, creating the perfect killing chain.

Exposure to the poison can be identified by nose bleeds and/or coughing up blood. The poison is potent enough to kill two weakened Royal Guards in less than an hour, and eventually kill Meruem himself.

Laying down on his bed Jason could only sigh at the scene of not obtaining that bomb as he talks to himself wondering what to do for his next course, "Still how should I deal with Jed and his group. Should I just go and fight them head-on like a Shonen protagonist…"

Thinking of that topic Jason shakes his head at that idea as he responds to himself for being dumb for thinking of that option, "No… if it came to conflict with them using one on one fights then I would lose there are better ways to deal with this. The best way to defeat them would be by normal arms."

Smirking a bit he told Alter Ego to release his quirk nullifier as he used his <Creation> quirk to create a small bomb that has the atomic symbol as he spoke to himself, "The best way I can deal with them is by using my world counterpart of their Poor Man's Rose… the atomic bomb. With this alone, it will leave them in greater danger."

Smiling at this Jason used his In to hide his presence as he began to go deal with Jed and his group using his <Scanning> and <Search> quirks to find the people in question.

*Swoosh*

Flying up in the sky quickly searching the land using my <Flight> quirk I began to talk to myself in a serious tone as I search the area, "Jed… you and your group should have left Heaven's Arena alone. Since you interfered with my fight against Kurapika I'll pay you back with a weapon this world has never seen before. The atomic bomb."

As they were flying in the sky Jason also asked Alter Ego to do him a favor, "Alter Ego when we find out their base here in the Republic region I want you to transfer a video voice recorded message to them."

Answering his request Alter Ego saluted in militaristic fashion as she agreed to get a video prepared for when they find him.

Somewhere else in a secluded land is Jed viewing the results of the match saw how Kurapika lost in the match against Jason as he saw he upped his game increasing his speed at that moment leaving Kurapika to his mercy.

Replaying everything caught on video yesterday on his laptop as he began to analyze everything about Jason's fight.

Rengoku then views the loss of Kurapika as she asked Jed in a worrying tone to him, "Jed captain, the one you gave you <On> to has failed against the hunter from your words. Does that mean that person took his <On>, sir?"

Jed nods at this as he views the screen replaying the whole fight as he was the only one to view Jason's actions of taking Kurapika Specialist Category and <On> for himself. He grew very annoyed at the hunter defeating him especially as he has the power of <On> for his own.

To make it worse Jed made a furrowed brow as he thought to himself in a serious tone, 'This is bad. That brat has gotten <On> and to make it worse he won't be able to get the consequences of using it because he didn't get a contract from me so he can use it freely as he likes.'

Turning off the screen from their secluded area he began to sit quietly as he thinks of the possibility of the new dangers this face for his plan.

Gripping his fist tightly at the scene as he was viewing Jed speaks once more like the rest of the followers listened to his words seriously, "His Nen ability <No Game No Life> is truly childish but dangerous. The ability to take what he wants as well as if the winner forcibly takes what the loser has to offer."

That was when his right-hand man Shura began to speak trying to comfort his old captain from the dead, "Captain Jed sir, despite his troubling Nen ability his nothing compared to you. You are a legendary warrior that fought equally to Netero if only that coward hasn't cheated those days ago you would've rightfully won that day. This hunter means nothing to you."

Jed felt small comfort from the right-hand man he nodded as Gaki laughs loudly at the scene supporting his captain, "Yeah captain Jed. You are way more powerful than that pathetic Hunter you are a legend his a nobody to your eyes. Sir let us your followers deal with this nuisance."

"Really?"

Quickly observing the screen of the laptop Jed was able to identify whose voice it was as he spoke out venomously at who it was, "Jason…"

*Swoosh*

Hearing a voice something surprised the group as Shura quickly used his <Machine Eater> through <On> Shura generates tendrils that enter the targeted machines and give him full control of all their functions.

As soon as he targeted the laptop on the screen he scoffs at the machine as he lets go of the laptop as he told everyone, "Tch. It's only a video voice recording on the screen he already left the message."

Next came a screen with the saying of 'VOICE ONLY' on the screen as the pre-recording of the video spoke out as they listen to Jason's voice, "You must be very annoyed that someone has found you guys. But what I want from you former members of the shadow hunter association is that… are you willing to play a game?"

That only narrows their eyes at the screen hearing the voice, but it continued to play, "The game is rather simple really. A deathmatch game. The game will be whoever manages to kill each other group wins. If you don't comply then I'll simply reveal your existence in the Hunter Cyberspace?"

Widening their eyes at that they were ready to defeat Netero but facing the full might of the Hunter Association was another matter they weren't prepared to handle.

If Jason were to reveal that they were alive then Netero and other hunters will be after them with Netero leading the charge and considering their last encounter with him it didn't last very well for them.

Gritting their teeth, the followers looked up to Jed with what their next move will be as he spoke out in a cold voice, "A game? You want us to play your childish game to the death… very well then I'll enjoy beating you to death with my hand's hunter."

*Screech*

That was when the screen changed to a live video recording as Jason was at the other end as he smirks as he the whole area began to change thanks to his <No Game No Life> as he responded to him with a proud tone, "Well thanks for agreeing to my game seeing that my <No Game No Life> ability is active. Hope you survive this…"

*BOOM*

Their eyes narrowed at that as they then they were suddenly enveloped under a mushroom cloud…

The nuclear age has begun.
