Chapter 32: Chapter 23 (A)

I rolled over in the bed. I found it empty and cold when I tried to cuddle Ryan. I knitted my brows and opened my eyes, light did its thing and burned them. I sat up and stretched my arms and yawned.

"Ryan..." I called him but no response. Then I heard a faint melody of the piano. I frowned and got out of bed.

I made my way out of the bedroom and followed the sound. As I was getting closer the sound of the piano was joined by vocals and I got close enough so that I could hear it properly.

The soft melody of the piano filled my heart with emotions and Ryan's angelic and soft voice was soothing my soul. I just stood there leaning against the wall and listened to him pouring his heart out. He was doing ad-libs and he was so damn pro at that. Seconds later he started singing and I got goosebumps.

“Aren't you somethin' to admire … Cause your shine is somethin' like a mirror”
