Prolouge
My name is Ceasar.I am now 25 years old.I am single.I live alone too as my parents have passed away.They were just ordinary people.I am sure other people have forgotten about my parents except me.
My mother was ordinary,not too beautiful nor too ugly.She was very warm and loved mr dearly.I love her very much too.Everynight she would speak me of what I would become in the future with expectations.
My father was a bit of an handsome man.He was muscular and very strict.He told me to study and do everything orderly.He would tell me the stories of legends who had done enormous deeds in their life that history books would carry their names with pride.I admire those people.When I asked my father if I could become like them,he would chuckle and told me with a smile that if I persist maybe I would become someone like them.
And so I began to work hard.I study hard.I helped everyone I could.But I didn't have the talents after all.The top students in the class could get the top grades easily.I envy them so much.But I still persist.
When I graduated, I was filed with hopes and ambitions.I wanted to find a good job become rich fast and do big achievements.But reality hit me hard.I started to work in an ordinary office as an ordinary worker.I started to realize how hard it would be to become rich.So I have abandoned those ideals.If I could feed my Mom and Dad,I am contended.
When I was 20 years old,my parents left the world.I became depressed.I am so lonely.I cried for the whole night.Next day,I was filled with many thoughts.I shuddered at the thought of dying.Or rather I shuddered at the thought of my existence being erased as no one would remembered me after I die.But I can't do anything after all.
Today,I was going to work.I walked through the regular path.I arrived at the bus-stop and waited for the bus.I was watching news on my phone.Then I heard a child laughing from my side.I turned my head and glanced at the direction of the laughter.I saw A man and a woman holding the child's hands and playing swing.I was reminded of my parents and smiled unknowingly.Then I continued watching news again.
After about 15 minutes,I noticed a bus coming from a long way.So I stood up and put my phone in the pocket and walked to the side of the road.When the bus was about to get close,I noticed the child from before running up to the street.I didn't have time to think how the child got there.My body instinctively moved.I ran up to the child and pulled the child back with all my strength.But because of my inertia,I tripped and fell back.
Then it was like the whole world was spinning.I was so dizzy.I didn't know what happened anymore.Then I noticed that I was lying now.I noticed the child I pulled up was sitting limply on the side of the street looking frightened.Then people came to me and saying something with worried look on their face.Some shouting, some calling their phones and some shooting pictures at me.I understood what happened.But right now I just wanna sleep.Can you please stop shouting?Then the voices of the people became smaller and smaller. I closed my eyes and my life flashes before my eyes.But I am not sad.I was filled with relief instead.The relief from me saving the child.
"Maybe that was the grandest thing I have ever done in my life."
