The long, white haired man slouched forwards in defeat. "How do I find myself in these positions..." He murmured as he stared at the circle of guards around him.
He suddenly jolted up, straightening himself. "WAIT!! Where did Leeds go?!?!" He shook his head wildly, looking for his company before stopping and seeing him snickering from outside of the circle.
The man clenched his fist and his teeth so much so that cracking could be heard from both areas. "THAT BASTARD, WAIT TILL I GET MY HANDS ON HIM!" He grumbled, showing Leeds a not so pleasant sign.
He turned his attention back to what was happening in front of him. He stared at the guard, the child and what the child was holding onto, realizing the situation.
He took a deep breath in and started walking forwards with a smile. "OH! Did you get them boy?!" He laughed as the guard turned his attention towards him.
He walked up and ruffled the child's hair. "I knew I could rely on you!" He smiled as the child looked up at him, tears trickling down his cheeks and his eyes full of fear… and determination the man noted. "Now then let's go back home, they'll probably be waiting for us."
"Wait, this child just stole from a stall, that's a crime we cannot overlook, even in the beggars district." The guard glared at the man.
The man returned the dangerous look with a blank expression. "Even if I was the one who told him to steal it?" He asked, pointing a finger at himself.
A nasty smile grew on the face of the guard. "If you are the one who told him to steal it, then we must punish you as well..." He laughed, the guards in the circle started chuckling as well.
This was the first time the long haired man had gotten a good look at the commanding soldiers face. He had brown hair that fell down, just above his eyebrows but never going below them, a scar below his left cheekbone and another one along his right jawline. His bloodshot, dark, cold eyes added to his look, along with his crooked nose. He looked like a street bandit who had made it to a high position. It seemed like he only smiled when he had something dirty in mind, and the long haired man made note of it.
The long haired man grabbed the wrist of the soldier, who was still clenching the scruff of the child's cloak. He locked eyes with the soldier who instinctively took a step backwards. Small analog clocks appeared in the long haired man's eyes, the dials spinning slowly as they passed each number.
"Hm." He said as he tightened his grip, "I'll take that future." He finished. The air around him became heavier as his easy going and carefree attitude disappeared.
"AAAAAGGGGHHHH!!!!!" The soldier let go of the child and tried to pull backwards. He struggled to do so until the man let go of his arm, sending him stumbling until he landed hard on his rump.
The circle shifted uneasily as they stared at their commander on the ground, holding a misshapen wrist, his hand dangling lifelessly from it.
The man turned to the commander on the ground, the dials spinning faster as he stared down at him. "Wanna keep going?" He said calmly.
The commander clenched his teeth, holding back the pain and embarrassment. "KILL HIM!!!" He shouted, suddenly the circle came to life and shrunk.
Sky tightened his body around the apples and pulled his head down. "HEEEEH!!!!" He squealed.
"Don't worry Prince of Olympus, this isn't the wrong move." The man said calmly.
Suddenly the circle froze. The soldiers, not moving, breathing or blinking, but staring forwards as if they had been frozen with invisible ice. Sky slowly opened his eyes and stared in awe, the commanding soldier mirrored Sky as they took in the rare sight. When Sky turned his attention to the long haired man he saw something strange. He had stuck his hand forwards somewhat and was holding onto what looked like an invisible dial. Suddenly he spun his hand to the left and the soldiers dropped to the floor.
The commanding soldier quivered, he looked around wildly. "Wh-WHAT DID YOU DO!?!?!?" The guard stuttered, slowly crawling backwards.
"Put them to sleep for a bit, they'll wake back up in 6-8 hours depending on how long they usually sleep for." The man let go of the invisible dial and turned towards Sky. "Shall we go now?" He asked with a gentle smile on his face.
Sky stared at him in awe, slowly nodding. The man helped him up and the two started walking away, the crowd staring at what happened and opening a path for the two of them.
"The-THE KING WILL HEAR ABOUT THIS!!!!" The soldier yelled.
The man raised his arm and waved as they continued walking forwards. "Yeah, sound good, tell him Kronos sends his regards!" Kronos turned around and gave a mischievous smile at the soldier, still on the ground.
