Chapter 51: Ch 47 - We Forget The Remains, We Start Over Pt. 1

"Hah...hah...hah…phew...Yo!" I said to everybody at the lounge as I finally got inside the Holohouse.
"Yo!"
"Jeez, you never get tired of doing that routine? I've already felt like giving up on exercise and only do it once in a while to make sure I'm still in shape." Temma said.
"Exercise? I don't even do that. Hell, I've never done it my whole life." Kaoru giggled.
"Well, if you guys would die not streaming for a single day, I'd die not being able to exercise at a given day. Gotta do it every other day to keep myself in shape. Besides, look at these muscles, bitches!" I said, pulling my right sleeve up and flexing my biceps.
"Eh? You think you're the only one with muscles like that?!" Temma said, pulling his right sleeve up too and showing me his biceps.
"Oh wow, look at the two go." Oga giggled and clapped.
"Jesus, do you lift or something, Shiro?" Iofi asked in English, who was sitting beside Oga.
"Nope. I tried it once, but I prefer calisthenics. Besides, I used to lift logs before as part of my training, so I don't really need to use dumbells or anything. I also don't like to bodybuild 'cause I don't wanna be too huge."
"Eh? But despite that, it's just your muscles, isn't it?~" Iofi teased.
"Bruh." I said, lifting up my shirt.
"Holy SHIT! WHAT THE FUCK?!" Temma shouted.
"EH?! WHAT'RE THOSE ABS?!" Iofi shouted as she laughed her ass off.
"Oi! Wait, face your abs to the others! Everybody, look!" Oga said as he stood up and went to me.
"Oh?"
"Feast your eyes on this!" Oga said as he pointed to my six pack.
Everybody's eyes widened. Especially some of the CN, ID, and the JP. The HoloEN are prolly upstairs or so.
"...Yo, I'm starting to get embarrassed." I said to Oga.
"Oh, c'mon! A little flexing can't hurt!"
"...How is a six pack possible...?" Marine blinked twice.
"Persistence, proper sleep, and a healthy diet. That's how." I said as I dropped my shirt to cover my whole body again.
"Eh...? That's too much for me!"
"Um...h-how long have you been exercising?" Suisei asked and sweat dropped while looking at me.
"Well, I don't really know, but I've been exercising since I was a kid. I did notice it though when I was 7 years old."
"SEVEN YEARS OLD?!" They all shouted.
"Mhmm. But anyway, I'mma go shower, see you guys in a bit." I said, putting my hand up.
"Oh yeah, Shiro-kun!" Rikka said.
"Oh?"
"Later on, mind coming with me to Suisei-senpai's room?" Rikka asked.
"Why?"
"She said she needs help setting up her keyboard and such, but doesn't know where to start."
"Um...Suisei, elaborate on that."
"Oh, I don't know how to set up the MIDI keyboard, and I don't get what a DAW, MIDI, or anything is. I just know that that's what producers use." Suisei scratched her head and laughed like those people that absolutely have no idea what they're getting into.
".....I see." I deadpanned for a good while.
"Anyway, I'll catch up later. Sure, I'll go to her room later, Rikka. We going together, right?"
"Yeah."
"Sweet. I'll call you when I'm done." I said.
'Though, it's nice to know some of the Hololivers are interacting with the Holostars today. This is quite a nice sight.' I chuckled
My stream is this evening anyway. A stream where I review my fans' weirdest/amusing questions
And so, after taking a bath, I then went to Suisei's room, taught her how to buy FL Studio, despite knowing how Ableton works but don't want her investing $499 for something that much, and also taught her the raw basics of how the DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) works, which is FL Studio, how the VST plugins work, which are the softwares in the DAW for making sounds, and just basically being familiar with the interface.
"Hah...finally, we're done." I breathed out.
"That exhausted my mind! You producers have to go through this everyday? I can't imagine that…" Suisei rested her head on her hand while leaning on the table.
"If it makes you feel any better, Suisei-senpai, I don't even know how to produce myself." Rikka giggled nervously.
"Well, you get used to it eventually. You're still new to this, so I don't expect any Taku Inoue-like pieces right off the bat."
"Can you create those?"
"Yes, but the outcome would be different. I'm a rap artist, not an EDM producer or so, so I only know how the process works, but I don't make that type of music that often...!" I said as I stood up and stretched.
"Anyway, call me again when you feel ready and want to learn how to actually make music. I'll be going back down and kill time or so." I said while going out.
"Ah, that's also my cue to go out. Thanks for having us, Suisei-senpai!" Rikka said.
"Ah, yeah! Thanks, you two!" She said as Rikka closed the door and me and him went downstairs together.
"Man, you go through that everyday? It's amazing how your mind doesn't explode!"
"Well, when you begin as an indie artist, you gotta do what you need to do. It's simple though, really."
"Eh...?"
"Anyway, I've gotta post that diss that I was gonna do against Calli and Haachama."
"Oh? Ah, that one!"
"Yeah...oh? Oh, hey Calls!" I said as I got to the first floor as she waved back to me.
"Ey." She said with a smile.
"Yo, I'm about to post a reply to that diss you made with Haachama."
"Oh, really? Thanks! I'll be looking forward to it!" She said as she went up.
"Anyway, see you later, Rikka!" I patted Rikka's shoulder and went to my room.
"Sure!"
And so, I posted the diss back to Calli and Haachama while tagging them both, and this was the caption of the diss.
"Think twice before you go against a battle rapper, bishes"
The video was just me with a couple effects and lyrics on the screen with fancy camera switches.
These were the replies from both of them:
Haachama: "NOOOOOOOOOO!! It can't be...I lost to a kouhai?!?!?!?! He's too powerful! *insert sobbing emojis*"
Calli: "Oh shit! Dude's got bars! We...we might take the L on this one"
I replied to Haachama with: "As I said in the diss, 'I'm a battle rapper, you two are just f-wording idols'. HUEHUEHUE"
As for Calli, "You come back again, it'll be another epic rap battle in the history of Hololive LMAO-"
This was the whole diss. It wasn't even as long as theirs, but I made sure to reply and add my own disses too.

And so, It finally became nighttime, and I started streaming.
"Shiro on the mic, Shiro on the beat, Shiro with the heat, everybody, thanks for coming to my stream! Yeah, and you know I got the heat, bro. What's my name? Ishijin Shiro!" I clapped.
"So! I made a tweet this morning which read, 'Send me your weirdest/most amusing questions about me, and I shall talk about in the stream tonight!', and now, I'm gonna be reviewing them! Without further ado, let's go!" I said.
"...Oh man." I said as I immediately slammed the table and laughed hard.
"Oh god...oh man...off the bat, we have a very good questions already-BWAHAHAHA!!!" I said as I held my stomach and slammed the floor as I knelt.
"AHAH...Ahaha...Oh my fucking god, I swear I'm gonna cry if I keep laughing on like this...Ah…" I said as I wiped my eyes.
"Alright, first question is 'Would you rather have a 20 pound tongue, 40 pound hands (each with 20 pounds), a 20 pound PP, or a 20 pound ballsack'." I said as I continued snickering.
"Ah god...okay, let's focus on the pros and cons for each. With a 20 pound tongue, I might not be able to speak easily, hell, I don't think I could speak at all, but lemme stick my tongue inside a girl's pussy, and I can make her moan so hard, you can hear that moan all the way to America." I said with a some giggles in between.

"Ah...that was a good question. Next, guys. 'You said before that you had girlfriends, did you hit the home run?' …" I said as I did a gangimari face and looked everywhere.
"...Should I be honest, or should I give a lie?" I asked the chat and did a chuckle.
I looked at the chat, and it was speeding too fast, I couldn't even catch some English comments, and those were easier to read than Japanese, considering the kanji can get mixed up with motion blur. I just knew my fans were freaking out, going "YA BE."
"Um...let's just say no. I'll leave that to your imagination, but uh...yabe." I said as I snickered.
I actually just hit up to the third base. Basically, with my 2nd girlfriend, almost everyday since we've been together, me and her uh...did some "oral examinations".
"Next…'If you don't like Hololive songs, why are you even in Hololive?' Oh shit. Oh shit. OH SHIT. WAIT, WAIT, WAIT...!" I said as I went to my instruments.
"DOO DOO DO DOO DOO...DOO DOO! We got a salty guy here, folks! I sense salt in this question!" I said as I got a kazoo and played that one Nardwuar tone at the end of interviews.
"I said 'weirdest' OR 'most amusing' questions. This is neither of the two." I said as I laughed.
"Oh man...I've said this once already, and I'll repeat it as many times as I need to. It's not that I hate it. Matter of fact, I even leave some Hololive songs playing in the background back when I was still not a Vtuber yet. But the problem lies with the music itself. I could give less fucks who the Vtuber is or just anybody, the problem lies with how the music is made."
"I'm aware that, because Hololive caters more to idol culture, we have to make idol-like songs, but...take a look at Calli, take a look at Suisei...do they make idol songs? No, they just make songs, so your opinion defending Hololive about how it NEEDS to make idol songs is not only irrelevant, it's stupid in the first place." I chuckled.
"I have no ill intent or anything against any artists. Yes, not just Vtubers, but artists in general, particularly, musicians, but uh...oh man, even I can't escape it easily. Generic songs are just fucking everywhere bro. As much as it hurts me, even somebody like Eminem, my biggest idol ever, makes this generic shit, man."

"If you guys really are strong and just say 'oh, you hate the pop genre' or anything like that, there's 'Sparkle' by iri, there's 'Cause It's Endless' by Fujii Kaze, there's 'Where Did I Go?' by Jorja Smith, there are loads of other pop songs out there that are not only good, but actually are executed very well. That's what I'm basically saying. I love a lot of music man, and especially these generic songs, but when it comes to the actual details and layers of a song or album, and you take away the aesthetic appeal, which is equally as important as the details, you'll be pretty disappointed by how many songs I can name off the top of my head. No, really. I actually don't know a lot of songs that I can say aren't the generic overproduced or methodical songs that take the same fucking shit and put it on top of the same fucking shit."
"You know...I hate most of Calvin Harris's songs, especially 'Summer', but there's one song in particular I actually really love. Like, REALLY really love, and that song is 'Cash Out'. It's groovy, it's a vibe, and really really well done. Not the shitty generically produced EDM that you can hear from just anybody. And if you like it? That's on you. I get what you're saying, and even respect you for it. But there are people, which include me, where some albums or songs need to be dissected, and when you dissect it...there's a very high chance that it comes off as generic, and only appeals to the masses. You either create something new and possibly get bashed for it, or make the same shit but still be loved by your fans. That's your choice as a musician. Even my General EP is quite like most rap songs nowadays. Let's just be honest, Privates. I fall into this shithole too. I took the same fucking shit and brought that to the Vtubing community."
"So, for this guy...there's your answer. If you all ask me again, just find a clip of me criticizing music, and you'll find this exact stream. Again, I love that type of music, but sometimes I really want to see how well art in music can be done, and not just a case of making sounds or harmony. I wanna see music as a form of art, and not just a form of melody."

"Um...But yeah. To summarize it all, I just want something new. Think of it like Vtubing. There are loads of Vtubers that are the same, and very few that really stand out, you get what I mean? If we talk about it as a show, it's a new episode but the same season. There are many Vtubers like Kizuna Ai, but there will never be another Kizuna Ai. Anyway...let's continue reading the questions!"

And so, I kept reading some more questions, and that concluded the whole stream. I sat back and breathed out.
"Well...that was an interesting stream. Quite a lot of perverted questions, but eh. There were some weird questions too." I chuckled.
"Hmm...let's go check the vocals of 'Nagareboshi' once more. Maybe there's some stuff I could tweak?" I said as I proceeded to go to the FL Studio project.
~Kiara's POV~
It was around quarter to 8 PM. I was chatting with Calli, hanging out and just hitting each other with what we were doing. Then this conversation came up.
Calli: You know, making music with Shiro was fun. Tomorrow, I think I'd like to spend the whole day with him and maybe cook up something. Also would like to treat him out for dinner.
Kiara: Eh? That's fancy! Though...you sure? I mean, Gura was thinking we could go for dinner together...All of us, you know? Maybe even tag him along if he wants to.
Calli: Well...you know, ever since I saw him freestyle and especially his EP, I wanna see if we can make something! You know, something that can really get people talking.
Kiara: Eh? So...it's one of "those times" again? Going to stay inside to make some more music?
Calli: Mhmm. Only difference is, I'm gonna invite Shiro. Of course, if he declines, I can eat along with you guys.
Kiara: Hmm...just curious. Why're you interested in Shiro's music? You uh...like his potential?
Calli: Yeah. Plus he's quite down-to-earth. If you actually get to know him, he can be a really good friend. No joke. You should definitely talk with him more often.
Kiara: I see.
Calli: He also knows his stuff. You know, I'm hoping my next album will be loved by a lot of people, and especially if Shiro can give me a thumbs up.
Calli: Not saying his words are absolute, but I'm just saying that, if he gives the thumbs up on it, I can be at ease knowing my album at least passes for most people
Kiara: Huh...I see.
Kiara: Welp, if that's the case, good luck on it, Calli! Have fun making music!
Calli: Mhmm. I'll show you what me and him cooked up when we're done. Look forward to it yo!
"Hmm...with Shiro, huh...?" I mumbled as I crossed my arms and looked at the ceiling.
I don't hate Shiro...but seeing her with him...is making me feel something...and I don't like it...What is it that I'm feeling?

~Shiro's POV~
"Oh damn...can't wait to release 'Remember When I Loved You' soon…" I mumbled as I keep replaying the video to figure out what the next best angle is.
"Better take a break. I can't think shit right now." I sighed and stood up.
And so, I took a break, and recollected what I have done for my album so far.
There is a song that talks about my love for Ayame, my guns, my past love for girls and how it changed me...3 songs so far. What can I do to get it over 7 songs…?
"...Oh? A phone notif? Wonder if it's Twitter?" I said as I got my phone and checked it.
"Ah, it's Calls." I said as I opened my phone and checked the DM.
Calli: Yo, Shi. Wanna make some music together? I was wondering if we could somehow make some songs that could give ideas. Also just for chilling and stuff, you know? You could even use one of the beats for your future songs.
Shiro: Sounds neat. I was currently working on a project right now. Finished the song but I was making a vid for it. Whose room we gon' work at?
Shiro (replies to Calli): Also, that's a nice nickname lmao. "Shi". I like it
Calli: Depends on you. I'm fine with either. Though...we both use FL Studio, right?
Calli (replies to Shiro): Lol thanks.
Shiro: I think I saw you making beats before and you said that you had FL Studio. If you're saying that you want a way where I can give you the project file for it so you can have it if you need it, then yeah, it can work
Calli: Nice! Well, you decide whose room it is. I'm fine with either.
Shiro: Mind if it's my room? I got my instruments set up and I also gotta work on a vid for a while, so we can just mess around.
Calli: Sweet. I'll be coming once you're done.
Shiro: I don't mind you coming over rn, but I guess that'll also help lessen distractions. I'll ping you once me done

And so, once I was done, in about 40 minutes, I tried to text her through Discord, until I remembered…
'Wait, I saw something something 197k subs in my sub count before...oh fuck.' I thought as I finally saw my sub count.
"Well, guess I gotta tell Calli to postpone it until after my stream."
Luckily, at the back of my mind, I had an idea for my 200k sub special. 1 hour of freestyling, along with playing some Mario Kart or any nintendo game. I also had to give out an emergency tweet.
"THIS IS NOT A DRILL, PRIVATES. I'M ARRIVING AT 200K SUBS, AND I ASK ONLY ONE THING FROM YOU ALL.
PLEASE, SEND RANDOM WORDS IN THE CHAT WHEN THE STREAM STARTS AND I START FREESTYLING. I CAN'T USE A RANDOM WORD GENERATOR FOR THIS STREAM LMAO. Fr tho, do send random words (superchats are prioritized), cuz I'll be playing a game, so I can't just multitask with a random word generator. Now I'mma go speedrun a thumbnail-"
I also DM'd Daijo that I'll be playing some Mario Kart for 1 hour, and that the beats I'll be using are beats I made in the past, so there won't be any copyright problems for the stream.
And so, I started the stream, played Mario Kart, freestyled for 1 hour, both in English and Japanese but mostly in English, and once the stream ended, I called Calli over to my room.
"Hmm...oh, and there she is." I said as I went to the door and opened it.
"Hey, Calls!-" I cut myself off as I saw her eyes.
"Hey, Calls!"
"Hey, Shi!" She replied back.
"Do you need anything? Did you eat a snack?"
"Ah yeah, I'm fine! No need for anything."
"Okay...well, if that's the case, welcome to the Shiro lair, where I don't touch grass and just stay inside like an otaku." I chuckled and went to my seat.
"Woah...everything is so organized!"
"Yeah. I mean, my instruments and wires here aren't too organized, but it's fine nonetheless. I make sure to keep my room tidy and clean."
"Yeah. You know, no offense, but I always thought you were the type to be a bit energetic, and so I thought you also don't keep things tidy, but...damn, even the shelves and your bed are tidy."
"When you're a soldier, you gotta make sure your things are accessible, and your bed has to be as tidy as it can get. Oh, and sit here, by the way. I prepared your chair."
"Ah, thanks!" She said as she sat down.
"So uh...you know, I'm currently in the process of making my album, just talked to my manager about my upcoming music videos, and he also helped commission some artists and animators for my MV."
"Eh? Mind telling me what you'll upload next? C'mon, I showed you my album. I won't snitch either."
"Well...it's a little love song called 'Remember When I Loved You'...this is between Hololive's rappers, okay? Don't tell it to anyone." I chuckled.
"My mouth is sealed." She did a "zipper" hand gesture.
"Hmm...I have no idea how to start making some beats. You got one?" I asked.
"I have no idea either. Guess we should've came prepared to the battlefield, huh?" She asked as we both giggled.
"Hmm...well, how about we vibe to some beats I made, and we'll try freestyling, ey?"
"Ah, that sounds neat!"
"Sweet." I chuckled.
And so, when we did, and I turned my speakers on, I was freestyling like hell, then it came to Calli's.
"Yeah, I'm so lit. Calli will kill you."
"She'll...get the scythe, 'cause death is her virtue."
"Yes, it's Calli. I'll...break your fucking spine."
"You'll die. Better watch out, or else you'll run out of time. WOAH!"
She screamed at the last line as I went "Eeyyy!"
"Yo, that was smooth." I said.
"Ah..that was close. I think yours was still good, though." She said.
"Well, it's to be expected as V-R.A.P.P.'s only member. You did your best in not messing up though."
"Well...it was in the heat of the moment." She said as we both giggled.
"Hmm...wanna sing a song?" I asked as I stopped the beat and got my acoustic guitar.
"Oh? Sure. What made you change your mind?"
"I was thinking maybe we could just vibe for a while. You know, get as much inspiration as we can before making something.." I said as I started playing the C chord.
"...Do you hear me? I'm talking to you.~ ...Wait a minute, you familiar with this song?" I asked.
"Ah yeah. Definitely a classic tune everybody knows." Calli chuckled.
"Well...let's try singing it." I said as I played C again.
(Shiro)
"Do you hear me? I'm talking to you.~"

And just when I said that, I instantly widened my eyes as a light bulb appeared on top of my head.
"...W-What's wrong?"
"...Yo, I just got a lit fucking idea." I said as I giggled and put my guitar back in its place.
"Ey, wanna start the session now? I'm sooooo ready for it."
"Oh, you got one? Let's go!" Calli said.
