The name of the boy is Jack with no last name who is 9 years old but he has a mature look and has an aura which give people somewhat mysterious feeling. His look are above average with normal physique and height is about 140cm which is slightly taller than his peers. But he has a secret that nobody knows which is he is from future and he travel back in time with help of celebi, the legendary time traveler pokemon.
In the previous life, he is over fifty and he lives the life of mediocrity. His dream is to become and world strongest and he struggles very hard. He got recruited into team rocket but the reality hits him hard and his talent can be only deemed as normal, although he works hard his future is limited. But he does not give up and still strike to work hard. He started from the lowest and after surviving trials after trials he achieved the position of elite captain where his limit lies. Unable to accept his fate he use all his connection and sacrifice other pokemon of his to buy a quasi legendary dragon pokemon. He bought a dratini a quasi legendary of Kanto region and use all of his resources to train and evolve into fierce dragonite. He forcefully evolve his dragonite using some team rocket means which downgrade the aptitude as he does not yet know the value of it.
He believes that with that he can change his life around and finally promoted into executive.
Unfortunately with the development of technology and new discoveries change the world completely. News way of evolution and emergence of fairy type which is a nightmare for dragon trainers. The value of dragon pokemon drop a lot after that event which make him lose a lot of money but he still does not care. The thing that change the world the greatest is the introduction of mega evolution. The value of Pokemon which can further evolve into mega evolution form skyrocketed. This has become most people trump card and his heart sank after he learns that dragonite does not mega evolve. But he still stubbornly believe he can still mange. The thing that broke the camel back is the development of technology called aptitude detector. It has ways to detect pokemon aptitude. Before that you can only measure aptitude in some headquarters. Jack does not care about aptitude, he only believes in species rank. But after aptitude detector got developed, he found out that he is very mistaken. Aptitude is not just about talent and many others thing are divided by aptitude. By the time he realize it it is too late, his dragonite evolve form is only of green aptitude which is the lowest that be of an quasi legendary pokemon which means dratini before is only of yellow aptitude.
This almost got him mad but he saw a small hope. During this time Alliance and Team Rocket is at official war and Kanto and Johto is basically battlefield. Many of team rocket executives are dead and even Giovanni survive because of mewtwo. But after mewtwo break frees of team rocket control, team rocket is on the verge of losing even with the help of other organisations. He finally got his chance to promote to executive and his mission is to help Hunter guild control the legendary celebi. Although people are afraid of legendaries, people still want to control non aggressive and small legendaries such as mew, celebi. (Species rank of 600 legendaries). Those who can control such legendary can challenge the world. That is why after getting mew genes and creating mewtwo team rocket declare war on the Alliance.
Hunter guild is a neutral guild at first but they promise to help team rocket if team rocket will help them catch celebi and the mission of Jack is to help Hunter guild catch celebi. He saw this as a great opportunity and decided to risk everything. He use his remaining resources to underwent surgery to put the latest version aptitude detector in his both eyes. Finally on the day of catching celebi both highest members of team rocket and hunter guild surround celebi to catch it. After several hours of battling, both sides has reach their limits. While waiting for the best opportunity Jack act to save celebi at the most crucial time of catching celebi. After finishing all of the members present at the most vulnerable moment he decided to free celebi. He risks everything and choose this road of no return. If the gamble fails he would most likely be dead. He will be hunted down by both Hunter guild and Team rocket. Furthermore as the former elite captain he also wanted dead or alive by the Alliance. He has no place to run but he believes rather than living the life of mediocrity it is better to die.
Fortunately celebi chose to grant his wish to turn back in time. He got back to when he was 9 years old. After thinking for a long time Jack decided to pinch his cheek. "Ouch it really is not a dream" said jack while rubbing his read cheek. "The power of legendary is indeed unmeasurable. Without the latest technology, even with all of highest member of both organizations it is very difficult to capture celebi" jack faintly said to himself.
Now he has all the information about future and he can restart his life to finally achieve his dream of becoming the strongest. "It is time for me to starting preparing" jack thought in his head while getting off the bench.
