"nyaa~" I woke up before taking off the sleeping bag which I sneak up in. Usually, Kuro wakes up faster than me and even so, he won't wake me up.
This time, I woke up faster than Kuro for some reason. Maybe Kuro was tired from using his spatial... magic? esper? whichever it is.
Carefully moving to make Kuro stay unawake, ah... he woke up.
"Okayu? ah, sorry. Did I made you wait? Are you hungry?" Like usual, Kuro will worries of me at first.
"hm hm. not at all." I shook my head.
"Is that so..., Okayu~, when you grow up, stop sneaking up in my bed." Kuro said carefreely.
Kuro has been like this lately. I don't know when it started but he began lecturing me about... the differences between male and female? things.
"Okay." Like usual, I nods to him. Kuro said 'when I grow up' so, I leave that to 'grown up'. good luck future me!
Patting my heads with that usual helpless smile, he got up.
"Kuro! I will help you preparing with the breakfast!" I said innocently before Kuro began shaking his head.
"I appreciate the thoughts but there's no need. It may be boring but play alone until Shion wake up." Kuro, declined me.
"No! This time, I will help you." I declined his decline and started running off while taking the fruits near the trees, without caring whether it's poisonous or not.
"Okayu, wait..." Kuro chased me slowly.
How Kuro ran so slowly was weird to me. Although I am faster than him without him using his teleport, Kuro wasn't this slow.
Although he wasn't panting, he was really sweaty making me more worried than focused at doing my best to help him...
eventually, I stopped, making Kuro catch me.
"Hah! Caught you." Kuro's sweat from before disappeared like illusion, as his expression turned from the one that was hiding it's fatigue to completely fine.
"You tricked me!" I let out an slightly loud voice.
"Did you forget that I could make water anytime I want?" Now that he points it, I remembered it.
In one of our spar before, I remembered him making a pond under me and slipping me out.
I also remembered another thing; Kuro was good at reading person, he will soon find it out if I lied to him.
It's unfair. Kuro can read me anytime he want while if he want to conceal himself, I never know what he is thinking.
I, Koro-san and Shion had a day where we strategizes on how to read Kuro like he do to us.
But reading Kuro was as hard, no, even harder than beating him in poker.
I began to be jealous of Ayame-chan. Reading Kuro—something we are working hard of yet couldn't do—she can do it.
"Then..., can you help me with making the breakfast?" Kuro broke the silence I created as thoughts filled me.
"Really? Then, what should I do?" I raised my voice out of happiness.
"I want you to pick up fruits/vegetables like you did early. Don't worry about picking the poisonous one because I will remove it later." This was one of Kuro's traits.
He won't force me on doing something nor won't he absolutely stops from doing something. He is what they call... weak to pushes?
"Okay! I will go on! Ah, before that..." Saying this, I stepped forward to Kuro, and placed my hand on his forehead.
It was slightly hot.
"When you're tired or hurt, you can... always rely on me, okay? Although I can't do much but... I will do my best to help on you." Although I can't read Kuro as much as Ayame,
I know this one thing; Kuro will always hides his suffering. Whenever he is hurt, he is sad, the first thing he will do is to hide it to let us not worry about it.
When we took shower together sometime ago, I was surprised to find out the scar on his elbow. I only find out later that was caused by Koro-san when they had conflict.
Seeing Kuro's surprised face was one of the most satisfying things to see.
Confirming him through his nods, I made the same action before turning back to go on picking any fruits I can find on.
Ki Sense helped me with picking fruits as it makes me able to see the Nature Energy arounds and even the fruits hidden deep in the bush was seen clearly to me.
Of course, I don't know whether it's poisonous or not.
