Chapter 12: The Run
Caleb's POV
After running back to the pack house, I decided a quick shower was in order before I met with Gamma Jack. Stepping inside my room I walk straight to the in-suite bathroom and start the shower, after grabbing a towel and hanging next to the shower I step in and just stand under the hot water as it rains down from the ceiling. The image of the red-headed girl flashes through my head making my manhood stand at attention, I have never had another do this to me before. What is so special about girl? As I take care of my growing manhood my wolf puts images of her in my head. Her lips on mine, trailing down my neck stopping long enough to lick and suck where my mates mark would go. After I finished my shower, I walk into my dad's office to meet with him and Gamma Jack to forma plan for better training.
"Son your finally here. What took you so long?" Do dare try and explain it to him?
"Well, I had a dream and I think it was about my mate. I think she is close, but I just can't be sure. She had red head and the most beautiful emerald-green eyes." he was all I could think about. It was as if nothing else mattered to me. Who is she to me?
"Sounds to me that your mates wolf is calling to your wolf son."
"What does it mean dad? I mean he has been very anxious for about a week now."
"She is probable near and most likely of Alpha blood also. That means the pull will be much stronger for the both of you. Ah, Gamma Jack, you're here. Come take a seat and let's talk."
"Alpha, Caleb, Thank you for having me" Jack bowed as a sign of respect towards my father and me."
"Now Jack, my son seems to have an idea that you might can take a look at our warriors and see if there can be an improvement or maybe you can teach some new techniques. I am happy to have you watch our trainings for you to take notes and then we can meet again later to see what you have noticed. How does that sound?"
"That sounds great. I do have a request if I may ask it of you." I notice that Jack is fiddling with his fingers, this must be something personal for him. Gamma are normally very confident with them self.
"Well Gamma Jack that depends on what it is." Oh my father sees it too.
"Alpha Nathan, my wolf has been very anxious lately and I was wondering if you will allow me to also look and sense around for mate while I am here." So, his wolf must be acting like mine has been this week.
My dad laughs alittle at Jack request, "Oh course not Jack. I am sure Caleb will be more than happy to walk you around and let you meet our unmated women. Do you have time to do that today son?"
"Of course dad, I'd be happy to walk Jack around. Maybe he can help me out in the process also." Thinking to back to my dream maybe I can describe her to him. "Shall we get going? There should be several people in the dinning area for lunch right about now."
"Lunch sounds great Caleb" He stands and bows to my father who nobs his head and we leave his office heading down to the dinning hall.
As we walk into the dinning hall, lunch is just started being served so we walk of to the line and grab ourselves plates and start filling them up. Today is fried chicken, I love it when Meg cooks fried chicken. I walk us to my normal table and start eating. Jack sits across from me and looks around the room. We have several unmated females in our pack so it is possible that Jack's mate is here. We finish up our lunch and place our plates in the kitchen window for cleaning.
"Let's take the long way to the training grounds, some of the females are having a meeting planning our next pack barbecue on the full moon."
"That sounds great. My wolf is about to drive me insane pacing back and forth with his snorting. I cannot get him to settle down at all." He shakes his head as he talks, he must be aggravating his wolf talking about him like this.
"I know what you mean. I have been having dreams also, I think that they are about my mate. If it is, her wolf is beautiful. Solid white with purple shimmer in the moonlight with purple eyes. I have never seen a wolf that looks like hers. I just don't know where to find her. I will turn 19 soon and this is the first time my wolf has acted like this so I can only assume he has been sensing she is near or she is just about to shift for the first time."
"You know what that means right?" He stops and looks at me with a weird face then continues to walk.
"No I have never heard of anyone having dreams about mates before." Jack was an older Gamma that never found his mate so it would be possible for him to have more knowledge about these things than myself and I am always up for learning.
"Maybe you should speak to an Oracle, she would be able to help you more than I ever could." I have not thought about seeking an Oracle. Oracle are special wolves that are blessed by the moon goddess and are able to see things that we cannot.
"I agree, I had not thought of seeking an Oracles guidance with this matter but at this point what could it hurt. Especially with the last dream I had. I fear she is in danger."
"Well, we do have an Oracle in our pack, I can see if she would like to join me on my next visit. That way you can speak with her and see what she thinks about your dreams."
"That'd be good if she would accompany you on your next visit." Maybe it would be good to talk to her, she might be able to shed some light on what is going on with my dreams and why my wolf is acting anxious lately.
