Chapter 53: See someone

"I am not asking you to tell me now... you can when you are ready-" Yoo Na takes in a deep breath and says in one go cutting Bo Ra in between her words,

"I am not their daughter. "

Bo Ra stays frozen with her mouth half-open, a frown slowly forms on her forehead as she slowly processes Yoo Na's words, "What?!" She yells all of a sudden then closes her mouth shut as she notices how loud she was just now.

"Y-You... are kidding ... me?" Bo Ra continues with a disbelief look but receiving silence Bo Ra couldn't help but gulp, Yoo Na heaves out a deep breath and subtly nods her head. "I know... it is hard t-to belief and I cannot brief this...um... but I can at least tell you something. "

Yoo Na says softly smiling at her and taking a spoon full of rice into her mouth, she hardly chews on it feeling the atmosphere really tensed and it was scaring her. "Then... who are y-your... parents?" Bo Ra questions blinking her eyes, everything felt so different after getting to know her.

"Um... they died in an ...a-accident. " She says looking away and swallowing hard, "I see... it must have been hard for you. " Bo Ra says taking in a deep breath as she herself grabs her spoon and brings a spoon full of rice into her mouth.

Yoo Na nods her head sniffing, she was doing her best to not burst out, "Is it okay if I ask... why are you so scared of darkness?" Yoo Na looks up at her with her teary eyes and met Bo Ra's curious ones.

"Um... they often... w-when I was small... since then i-if I made a mistake or d-do not obey them... they lock me in a dark room and I-I got traumatized. " Bo Ra widens her eyes as a gasp escapes her lips. "I-I can't believe them!" Bo Ra yells exclaiming angrily as her hands balled into fist banging against the bed.

"Um... I am fine now. " Yoo Na tries to shrug off the discomfort she got with that angry gaze of her friends, "I had respect for them but... fuck them!" Bo Ra yells huffing out breath making Yoo Na smile, "You really make me happy... you know that?" Yoo Na questions making Bo Ra halt her blabbering.

"I do?" She says with a smile while Yoo Na nods her head smiling, "Your presence gives me comfort and now I have three important people in my life. " She beams happily showing her three fingers, "Who?" Bo Ra questions tilting her head to the side and raising a brow.

"Jin... then you and...um... him. " Yoo Na says with a shy smile covering her face but her smile fades away when she remembers she never had him in the first place... everything was in the past and the present she is living in had no Yeong Jae in it... not yet.

"Him? Oh... you mean him?~" Bo Ra says wiggling her brows and teasing her but Yoo Na sighs pouting hard, "What is with that pout?" Bo Ra questions feeding herself another spoon of rice, she slurps the soup from the bowl and eyes Yoo Na doing the same.

"He will never be mine... I am trying but now... I can't even do that. " She sighs out making Bo Ra frown, "Why? I will help you... if you do love him then as you see love has no boundaries. " Yoo Na chuckles shaking her head while Bo Ra smiles.

"You see even if you had fallen in love with an old man, love is love what can I do and not support my best friend?" Bo Ra says mischievously while Yoo Na gasps with a few rice coming out of her mouth, "Eww!~" Bo Ra says laughing hard while Yoo Na coughs wiping her lips.

"Yah!! " Yoo Na yells glaring at Bo Ra who couldn't stop laughing, "I don't want to be a bad friend to you. "

Bo Ra says giving her a mocking smile while Yoo Na scoffs rolling her eyes, " I just don't love anyone! You don't even know why I love him and look at you mocking me!!!" Yoo Na bursts out making Bo Ra laugh harder.

"Okay...okay. I stop... aish, the food turned cold. " Bo Ra says placing the spoon on the table and wipes her tears away, Yoo Na takes a spoon more and chews on it with her eyes glaring at Bo Ra. 'But why do you love him? I don't get why?" Bo Ra's questions getting all too serious.

"Um... I got to see the sides of him that no one saw?" Yoo Na says thinking if that was what she wanted to say. Bo Ra frowns tilting her head, "And how so?" Yoo Na awkwardly chuckles remembering all the times he had protected her, in this life he has done enough for her to state.

"Um... do you recall the rumor of him carrying a girl?" Yoo Na questions fidgeting with her fingers as she looks away getting flustered, "What? " Bo Ra says thinking hard but when she remembers it she widens her eyes.

"Before you got to me... he had taken me to the nurse room. " Yoo Na continues with a blush, "Ahh, now I get why I saw him walking down the hallway. I passed by him but didn't dare to speak. " Bo Ra says chuckling to herself.

"Hmm..." Yoo Na hmms taking in a deep breath, "I wonder why he is so cold..." Bo Ra questions out loud thinking to herself, Yoo Na widens her eyes thinking if she should tell her but she sighs shaking the thoughts off of her mind.

"Hmm... who knows. " She says shrugging off with a smile while Bo Ra smiles, "But when you said that you cannot try anymore... what do you mean by that?" Bo Ra's questions getting serious along with her and Yoo Na blinks her eyes thinking if she should tell her.

"As I said, I am your best friend so you shouldn't hide things from me but I know it is hard so I will not be nosy. " Bo Ra says chuckling, just then the door opens with Jin walking in, "Why is your food untouched?" He questions walking to both of them with a glare.

"Uh..."

"Actually..." Both trails on their word as they eye their half-filled plate and then exchange a glance before looking away, Yoo Na awkwardly kicks Bo Ra gesturing her with her eyes to say something but Bo Ra returns her kick with one of her own and they heard Jin clear his throat.

"Um... we just got into talk as we weren't that hungry. " Yoo Na says while Bo Ra nods her head agreeing, Jin heaves out a sigh, "I will put this in the fridge. If you feel hungry wake me up. " He says grabbing both the plates and putting them on the tray he had bought along with him.

"Aish, what did you talk about to forget eating?" He says shaking his head as he walks out with the tray, they both exchange a look and burst out laughing. Bo Ra takes in a deep breath stretching her body and placing the table out from the bed onto the floor.

"So, we were in? Why not?" Bo Ra questions approaching by her side and leaning against the bed. Yoo Na again inhales a deep breath while Bo Ra waits for her to speak,

"Um... they are forcing me to see someone. "
