Chapter 55: C 55. Brain Enhancement
I calmed my mind, and all my attention went to my head with good concentration as I usually do if I want to empower one of my arms or muscles.
Gradually, he stopped talking. Not really, my thoughts are moving faster than time itself. I can feel something is chipping away from my body but I have enough time to revise everything.
I remember from the very beginning of our conversation about what had happened in that room with Balarabe and the little devil.
I try to understand and etch every important moment in my mind while also comprehending what he was saying.
I thought I would get tired, but, no, the more I enhance my brain and the massive brainstorming improves the more I feel my head clearing out some confusions, things that are hard to understand come as easily as breathing.
I even understand some of the intricate politics that are brewing within the Sectors. I have a brand new understanding of all the Doctors and Directors that I met.
Coming back to the present, his mouth was still agape opened, but I see a small difference as if he is moving extremely slowly.
I slowed down enough for him to speak more before I paused, digging through some of my knowledge to make sense of his explanation.
That's how things continued until he was tired, and said this is all an introduction, we will go into specific when I began my classes with him.
I was baffled at first, then I realized in the field of knowledge nothing is simple and nothing can be explained in a few hours completely.
New findings and research are being carried out and that is how we progress as a human.
I receded my cognitive enhancement but the way I view the world has changed. My eyes see better with great details, my ears can hear delicate sounds and strangely identify some meanings.
My skin is more sensitive. I can feel some constant crawling from the suit I'm wearing. Is the suit awakened or is this how it was since.
A wave of dizziness washed over me, I fell back on a soft couch.

I have to thank whoever makes this couch appear behind me.
My limb became numb but my mind was sharp.
I looked up and I saw him with a terrified expression while looking at his giant screen.
He looked back at me saying, "Queen of Power please do not try to do anything, okay?"
I intend to say, "Okay."
But then he said, "Don't answer, please, just look at me." I raise my eyelids to show I understand.
From then he was in a flurry of calling people.
From my point of view, he was terrified shitless and I that was just resting on a soft couch doesn't even know what is happening.

The very woman that keeps a lookout at those crazy people with crazy powers in Sector 9.
The reason why Dr Khan behaved was because she was involved. That indicates she has crazy powers that to counter it one has to be very vigilant and smart.
She looks at me with an amused expression.
For one she is not in her hazy form, but from time to time she becomes transparent.
"Oh my! Queen, what exactly did you do?"
I showed her questioning expressions as I did not understand her.
"Your Red Energy has dropped to 50. Meaning there is only 50% of the previous 107% power!
So what did you do to consume 57% of your raw Red Energy?"
My mind heats up, thoughts clash with thought and I understand what she just said.
I turn myself into a genius, and the price of energy is 57% of the red energy that runs through my body.
Last time I only assimilated 7% and I almost lost control.
What will happen now?
Strangely I do not feel panic or surge of emotions.
Again my current genius mind told me it's because my cognitive skills are stronger than before.
But still, there is still an impending doom
If I have more energy stored in me, it will pour out just as before.
The good part is my mind or brain is stronger but the worst part is my body is weak.
"You might explode, a spectacular one!" He said!!
Did he see the future? If he didn't, why could he predict this?
My mind went into overdrive but there is no solution that I can come up with, then my focus returned to the doctors.
I find Dr Sam in his panic explaining what he has been doing as if trying to rationalize he did nothing, nor did he see me do anything that may result in me losing that much energy in just thirty minutes of our conversation.
The woman, on the other hand, has her eyes on me all the time. She then said, "Just now, your thoughts accelerated faster than you used to, tell us what happened, It will decide what we do next!"
I opened my mouth to talk, then I remembered something, I looked to Dr Sam for approval.
He nodded at me.
"I enhance my brain's overall function to recall and understand all that Dr Sam was explaining to me."
Just talking, I feel the air around me vibrating wherever my voice passes.
"That means the enhancement is on your brain, not your body, your brain might survive the exploding but not your body. Dr Khan, did your kid have a future sight?"
I looked at him, and he has a sad expression, "If he did, then may he rest in peace, that is a terrible power!
That is not important, we need to vote now. I vote yes."
"As do I!" She said solemnly.
Am I going to be killed? No, killing me will not stop the rampage of the raw power! I felt some relief after my genius mind told me otherwise.
If not for my improved cognitive skills, I might start panicking but now look at me looking at them with amusement, wondering how are they going to tackle my situation?
Dr Khan and Director 9 are working seamlessly as if there is no bad blood among them.
I think this is what is called Professionalism.
