Chapter 21: Television Report.
As ray put the food into his backpack, he grabbed on to the TV controller and unmuted it. Meanwhile, tina was putting in the spare knife he gave her, the food and 5 ammunition packs into her backpack.
The TV was turned to the news channel. In the middle there was a lady who pointed at pictures in a screen. They showed pictures of buildings in fire, and flying ships as she spoke
"Once again, I repeat. Is this really the end of the world? A few hours ago, all around the world, monsters were reported and confirmed to start falling from the sky... I honestly, don't know what to do in this situation.
This is not a drill, and this is not a joke, do not leave your house, no matter what happens, shut yourself in a safe place and do not leave until further instructions. I repeat, do not leave your house.
We also have news that- Kyaah?!"
The broadcaster was interrupted by the sound of windows breaking, however it was on the other side of the camera so ray couldn't see what happened.
"Wha-"
Before she could say anything, the sound of a screech came, and the video that was being displayed change into an innocent background image with writings on it as it played the sort of song you'd hear in an elevator
'We'll be back shortly'
Usually, the channel only displays that, when the connection has suddenly ended, or paused.
Both ray and tina who saw this, were definitely shaken. Ray then turned off the TV. He already got what he wanted from it, and even if the sound was low, he didn't want any of the monsters outside to notice.
"..."
The two became quiet for a moment
"So it's happening all around the world..." Ray muttered
"Yeah..." Tina replied
"Tina, put on your backpack, just in case" Said ray as he put on his
"It's a bit heavy, it's a bit heavy." Said tina as she put it on
Ray didn't feel like it was heavy at all, when he thought about it, it reminded him that they hadn't talked about the status screens, it also reminded him that he hadn't done his analyse quest
[Analyse table, bag, vest, knife]
Those were the four things ray needed to analyse, he made sure they were all in his sight.

"Sis, you should put in some points to strength and agility, what level are you?" Ray asked
"Let me check... Level 3" Tina replied
"how many stat points do you have?" Ray asked
"Seven"
"Then... Status."
Ray decided to check his status, he also wanted to see hers directly, but analysing it would take a while, and he had plans to do it for tomorrow's daily.

The user tab opened, and ray was surprised, he hadn't checked or payed attention to how much exp he was receiving, but was glad to see it rising
Ray then shuffled over to the stats tab

There were two things that stood out, first his HP, and then his stat points. Last time ray checked, his health was 55, but now, after 2 levels it became 65.
This showed proved ray's original theory. With every level, his HP would increase by 5.
Another thing that stood out was ray's stat points. Ray already knew that with every level he'd receive, 2 stat points. So naturally he got 4 from levelling and he had 1 left over after pouring them into agility before the goblin fight. but he was wondering where he got the other 4 from.
He then recalled that he received 3 stat points from the 'kill 4 goblins' quest and he got an extra stat point from killing the camouflage monster.
"Earth to ray" Tina called out to john who was stuck in thought
"Ah, my bad, I was lost in thought."
"No worries"
"I'm doing just fine carrying this bag with 7 strength points, so just try to get yours to 7" Ray suggested
"Alright... how do I put 2 stat points in strength?"
Suddenly, Tina made a surprised expression after she finished asking the question
"You received the message, right? It works like some sort of command, once you say the words, whether it's in your mind or out loud, you'll receive the system notification." Said Ray
"I see..."
"You can go ahead and confirm it. It'll apply the stat points it mentioned" Ray added on
"Confirm."
Shortly after, tina made a surprised expression as she moved around the bag on her back
"It feels lighter... You were right..." Tina muttered
"That's good, you can use the stat points however you like. Per every stat point in Vitality, you get 5 HP, per every stat point in intelligence, you get 5 MP" Said Ray
"So MP is Magic points and HP Is Health Points? That's how it usually is right?" Tina asked
"Pretty much, although I'm not too sure about MP." Said john
"When I used my materialise skill, I probably used my MP." Said Tina
"How much do you have left?" Ray asked
"Seventy-Five. I orignally had Eighty-Five."
Ray's expression when he heard this, suddenly changed into a nervous one.
"Tina... you added 2 points into strength right. Does that mean it's 7 now?"
"Yeah, isn't that what you recommended?" Tina asked
Ray who heard this felt defeated. His sister, had a higher INT stat and strength stat, than him when he first started.
