Chapter 13: Safari Zone
Somewhere in Johto region,
Zeph woke up, he was still sitting in the chair, the box was right in front of his face and Vega was on the side.
"You finally woke up. We are about to reach the base."
Zeph looked around and found nothing suspicious, 'Was that just a dream?'
Vega looked at the confused face of the Zeph and smiled inside.
"We have got some information on next Pokemon to catch. We will leave immediately after delivering the first Pokemon and making some preparation."
Zeph nodded, "Yes, where are we travelling next?"
"It's still in the Kanto Region."
Zeph again glanced at the box and the black ball.

The cool sea breeze was being enjoyed by him and his Pokemons, except for Zapdos.
But it didn't last long; they were already in the next harbor.
Gengar and Arcanine were reluctant to leave the ship, but have to still follow Vidal.
After reading the instructions, Vidal entered the Safari zone.
"Now everyone come close. Look at these three pictures. Whoever finds one first will get to eat any food they like for a weak, no restrictions."
"Everyone disperse."
His four Pokemon started searching for this particular Pokemon in the safari zone.
After thinking for a long time, "You can also come out."
Zapdos looked around to find himself in a new place.
"Now, you also see these pictures. I am looking for them. As promised you can roam around this place, but don't get spotted by any human beings."
Zapdos ran away immediately.
"I hope he will return."
There were forest areas, lakes, and even desert to catch Pokemon. There were quite a lot of varieties Pokemon.
Then he remembered, Ash probably caught 30 Tauros. So, I can't be behind him, right?
But he has to wait for his Pokemon to return, so that he can start catching Pokemons.
He counted 126 Pokeballs, and started to look around for the most troublesome Pokemon to manage.
Vidal was going to send batches of Pokemon who are very energetic.
Slowpoke, Magikarp and finally Psyduck; 40 of each Pokemon, "I am sure Professor can easily handle them. He is the greatest Pokemon researcher in the world after all."
The first one to return was Gengar, it look exhausted from scaring the Pokemon away.
Gengar fell asleep after eating some food.
Then came Arcanine, it was being chased by herd of angry Doduos. Vidal climbed the nearest tree and let them pass. He wasn't going to disturb when they are having fun.
Then came Alakazam, there were Venonat, Cubone, Marowak and syther passed out and floating in the air.
He had to catch them, "Just look for the Pokemon I catch ok. You can eat the food if you are hungry." Vidal had to save the remaining Pokeballs for the batch of Pokemon to be sent to Professor.
Then, came Zapdos. Ate the food and ran away again.
Alakazam also headed on the opposite direction it came from.
Now, he was alone in the middle of the safari zone. Well technically he wasn't alone; there was still the Eevee egg.
Then came Arcanine again, behind it this time were angry Pinsirs. He let them pass again.
He had strictly banned Arcanine from using any fire attacks in the forest. It can still run very fast though.
"Gengar let's go. I need you help to catch some Pokemon."
At first Slowpokes were caught one by one, Psyducks were also easy catch.
Confuse ray from Gengar made the job easy. Since these Pokeballs were connected to Transportation system, they were sent to Oak lab immediately after being caught.
Now only remaining was Magikarp, which he had to fish one by one.
While he was still fishing, Zapdos came and pick him by the beak and started running.
Gengar followed behind.
Zapdos actually found the Pokemon he was looking for, and from the look it was injured.
"Both of you gather other in the place where our bag are placed. And make it fast."
Vidal grabbed the Injured Pokemon in his arms and ran towards the meeting place too.
After waiting for a moment, Gengar and Zapdos returned with other Pokemon.
"Everyone return. Arcanine, I will point the way and you follow the direction."
Vidal climbed on Arcanine and they exited the Safari zone.
…
"Let's take less crowed area."
A person riding an Arcanine carrying a blue colored Pokemon was noticed by People. They didn't see the face of person, but the speed of Arcanine was abnormal. It was too fast.
Fuchsia city Pokecenter,
"Nurse Joy, I need your help."
"What happened?"
"I don't know. I found this Pokemon injured in the safari zone."
"Leave everything to me."
"At the same time can you check them too," Vidal handed other Pokemon too.
"Wait, not that one. Yes with the lightning mark on it." Looks like I have to keep this ball separate from other just in case.

Vidal wasn't expecting to encounter this Pokemon in the area this easily. But this also saved him a quite a lot of time.
After taking a long breath, Vidal decides to give a call to Professor Oak.
"Vidal is this on purpose?" As soon as the call connected, Professor Oak shout was heard.
"What are you talking about Professor?"
"Recently Ash caught 30 Tauros. And you also did the same."
"Oh that. I was in safari zone and caught some Pokemon in excitement." Vidal continued, "I was thinking of giving an interested new, but you don't seem interested."
"Interesting news, Oh I am all ears."
"Today I caught a Dragonair."
"Dragonair…" Professor Oak eyes shined, "Are you serious?"
Vidal nodded.
After some details on Dragonair the topic changed.
"I heard you freed Zapdos."
"Yes, it should be enjoying somewhere." Somewhere, in my belt.
"But still they might be looking for other Legendary Pokemons," Professor Oak said seriously.
"Then I have a suggestion for that."
"What do you have in mind?"
"Send some people to look around the area of Cinnabar island and Indigo Plateau."
"But why there?"
"You will now when the time comes." Vidal smiled, acting mysterious is always fun.
Vidal ended the call leaving Professor Oak in Confusion.
"Looks like I can also use some psychic type moves," Vidal laughed at his own joke.
Nurse joy finally came with a completely healed Dragonair, "She is perfectly fine. You don't have to worry about it."
Vidal nodded and looked at the Dragonair.
Dragonair suddenly jumped and wrapped itself around Vidal.
"Looks like another Pokemon choose me too." Life is so easy this way.
"Your other Pokemon are also completely fine." Nurse Joy handed him other Pokemons.
"Everyone come out." Except for Zapdos.
Everyone met the cute and timid Dragonair. But after sometimes she started to adjust to overly cheerful Arcanine, prankster Ganger, Calm Starmie and Poor and skinny Alakazam on the side.
Alakazam has finally adjusted to the apprentice position of Starmie. So it was also trying to act calm like Starmie.
Vidal didn't lose any more time and used a Pokeball on Dragonair.
But some commotion started outside the Pokecenter.
"Are you sure about that?"
"Yes, I am certain. It is either Dartini or Dragonair."
"And he entered this Pokecenter carrying that Pokemon."
Somebody must have noticed him with Dragonair.
But Vidal slowly walked out of the Pokecenter.
"Look, is he that guy?"
"I don't know. I didn't properly see the face of the guy."
"You wait there, are you the one who came with Dartini."
Vidal stopped, "You mean me." Vidal felt he wasn't going to leave the place easily, there were about 20 people there and all seems to be Pokemon trainers.
Then suddenly a boy came in front of Vidal, "You bunch trying to bully him. I will fight with all of you."
'I am being bullied. I didn't know about that.' Vidal scratched his head.
