Chapter 3: Void and Unknown place

In an unknown place and in complete darkness in which nothing is usually seen, apart from countless small white-blue burning lights. He drifted slowly in an incomprehensible direction, in this boundless ocean of darkness. The underworld, as mortals called this place, but in fact, doesn't have a specific name and can be called Heaven or Hell. Let's just call it void because this space is empty and nothingness is here. No trees, grass, land, water or sun. just darkness apart from a few exceptions.
But this darkness felt like a soft cradle, with a comfortable pillow and a warm blanket, no sound could disturb your sleep and if you look into the darkness you could see thousands of lights. These lights are actually the souls of people, we can say that they floated along the river or even flew through space. But then one question remains, where are they going to.
This question can't be answered, because you can never tell when the lights will despair. Whenever one light fades in the distance the new one appears. Sometimes the light will disappear as soon as it appears and sometimes it's hard to tell when it fades because it went too far for you to see.
One of these souls was Edgar.

Edgars pov
Edgar: 'I can't remember how long ago I got to this place, how many times I lost count of time here….. IT'S SO BORING IN THIS PLACE!! WHY DO OTHERS GET A CHANCE TO DISAPPEAR AND I'M THE ONLY ONE WHO DIDN' T GET IT!! I can't even speak or make any noise to at least try to communicate!
Ok calm down Edgar, let's just have a think of what I know or I can do here. I know that I'm dead, it's not that hard to guess because I highly doubt that this place is somewhere on our planet. So far, the only thing I've seen is that the lights kept coming in and out, so I think it's some kind of queue. But then I have a question? where does this line lead to or when will it end? Will I go to Heaven or Hell or the Anubis courtroom or will I meet God? So many questions which I want to ask but nobody will answer. Well, I guess I have to wait.'
With these thoughts, he started to hum in his head and soon he started to sing a lullaby

While Edgar was singing and humming in his mind. In different places, you could see a big room, with a sphere in the middle of it. Multiple beings were looking at it and some were looking at small flames inside.
unknown entity 1: "So can somebody tell me why aren't we allowed to take any more souls out of the void?"
unknown voice: "You all are minor gods, which were given a chance to choose 10 souls out of the void and now that everybody chose the souls they wanted the rest of them will randomly be sent to you. After the soul will come to your domain you must give them a chance to be reincarnated or transmigrate, but if they don't want to live another life then judge them by their life and from what you see send them to Hell or Heaven.
unknown entity 2: " And what do I do with 10 souls I chose"
unknown voice: "Usually souls will only have weak options of what they can reincarnate into. After they choose their race they can choose 4 skills, it doesn't matter if they are passive or active.
However, the souls that you chose will be given more benefits which you will be informed of later."
unknown entity 3: "Can we go"
unknown voice: "Yes"

He hummed the same lullaby over and over again and when he was about to start all over again he suddenly found himself in a white room.
Edgar looked around the room, but the only thing he saw was the white colour.
Edgar: "Saw at first I was in complete darkness and now I'm in complete brightness. Why is it so bright in here? As if someone turned on the light mode in Discord."
Unknown entity 4: "Hello Edgar Fox, my name is Iskander and before you ask who or what I am, let's just say that I'm one of the minor gods."
Edgar: "I don't want to offend you in any way but can I ask you a quick question?"
Iskander: "Iskander is an Arabic name which means ' defender of the people ' and yes I can read your mind"
Edgar: "Why were you given this name?"
Iskander: "When a being or a god is born they don't have a name at first. Through their life, they learn how to use their powers and when they awaken it they will be given a name. Take me as an example. I was nameless for 159 years until I awoke my power or divinity if you wish to call it that way and only then I was given my name.
Edgar: "Thanks for simplifying your answer and let's get to the business. I know that I'm dead, so what is the reason for me to be here?"
Iskander: " If a living creature dies, it will be given a chance to reincarnate or transmigrate so it could live again. However, if a being wants to go to so-called heaven or hell their life will be judged by one of us and then will be sent to one of those places."
Iskander replied slowly to Edgar's question.
Edgar: " Iskander can you change your form? Because currently, you remind me of a light bulb?"
As soon as Edgar finished speaking, Iskander's so-called body disintegrated into thousands of fireflies which started to spin around in circles. Just in few seconds, the human figure was made. After Iskander transferred to his new form you could see a huge, muscular, dark skin man with gold tattoos all across his upper part of the body. Iskander was wearing turquoise coloured bloomers with many golden necklaces, rings, earrings and arm rings.
When their eyes met, Edgar saw bright golden eyes with cat-like pupils.
Iskander: "Let me explain to you where you will be going and what options of reincarnation you have. I'll send you to a place called Wonowonsonomaewea…. Why are you laughing?"
Edgar: "Ok Ok Ok I'm sorry… Wono...
Edgar: "Hahahaha I can't. Please tell me it wasn't you who gave it this name!"
While Edgar couldn't stop laughing at the name aut… *ahem* God gave to that world. However, Iskander was facing the same problem. His face was slowly turning red. After all, he was trying to hold his laugh as hard as he could because he knew which goddess gave that world a name. After Iskander calmed and was about to start speaking, he was interrupted by Edgar.
Edgar: "Wonowon…"
Edgar "Pfff,haha"
Iskander: "Edgar please stop."
Edgar: "I will try but I promise nothing."
Iskander: "*ahem* So here's the list of creatures or races you can reincarnate into if you wish."
In front of Edgar, you could see a blue book with multiple pages of creatures and races he can choose from. He tried to find his old race which was humans just to see their stats.
Race - Human
A human is a member of the species Homo sapiens. Humans are bipedal and have a very complex brain, which is much larger than that of the most living creatures which habitat Wonowonsonomaewea. They are capable of learning multiple skills and go leg to leg with strong beasts, however, compared to other creatures they have one of the smallest stats and the smallest bonds with elements as well as magic.

Edgar kept looking at different creatures and when he read through 20 pages. He closed the book and decided to not choose humans for multiple reasons.
Edgar: "Let's forget about humans for now. Iskander, so before we proceed any further with reincarnation, do you need to hear the answer from me that I agree to be reincarnated?
Iskander: "Yes"
Edgar: "I chose to reincarnate."
Iskander: "Now, usually we would allow people to choose where they can reincarnate but it was changed not long ago. Therefore only your luck will decide where you will be reincarnated. Do you still want to do it?"
Edgar: "Yep"
In the next moment, a massive wheel appeared in front of Edgar. Six sentences were written on it, each describing someplace where he would respawn: dungeon, surface, summoned creature, city, 5ocean and sky.
Edgar: "Will I have to spin it?"
Iskander: "Yes"
With calm steps, Edgar went to the wheel and as soon as he reached it, he turned to God.
Iskander: "Just touch it anywhere and it will start spinning"
Edgar nodded in understanding and touched the centre of the wheel, at the same second the wheel began to rotate at an incredible speed. Edgar couldn't keep up with the speed of the wheel, so he just sat down, closed his eyes and patiently waited for it to stop.
10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 seconds passed. It just kept spinning, when suddenly it halted and a red arrow materialized at the top of the wheel out of thin air. Edgar opened his eyes and looked at the result with a big grin.
Iskander: "You will be reincarnated in the dungeon as the monster. Now choose one of the creatures and then I'll allow you to choose your skills"
Edgar: "I chose Pafoot"
Creature - Pafoot
Race - Golems/Ice element beast
Pafoot takes the appearance of a large, ice /crystal boulder. However, Pafoot is naturally an icy blue armoured creature, with spikes protruding from many areas of his body, it has 4 legs and multiple eyes placed all across its face. They are quite rare and not much is known about them because they are one of the weakest beasts and aren't taken as a danger by any race, however, they are hunted down because their armour can be used as material for many crafts.

Edgar: " Here you are and I chose all the passive ones."
Iskander: "Unbreakable Armor [Passive] lvl - 1 , Second wind [Passive] lvl - 1 , Healing aura [Passive] lvl - 1 , Chess formation [Passive] lvl - 1. Is it your final choice?"
Edgar: "Yep, ohh when will I be sent there?"
Iskander: "I will be sending you there in a few seconds but I have to warn you that you will be in the egg at first."
Edgar: "Go ahead."
Iskander snapped his fingers and in a second, the floor under Edgard's feet disappeared. The hall fall didn't take longer than a few seconds, the next thing that Edgar knew was that he was in the egg because of the warm liquid around him. He tried to break free but failed at first and on the second try, he managed to break the shell. It wasn't too bright outside of the shell so Edgar's eyes adjusted really quickly.
But what he saw outside will forever remain in his mind...
