Chapter 3: Delima

Trevor lay there on his bed. He could not fall asleep as he continued to think about his video games. He tried installing a few games on his phone, but those were not supporting his ROM. So helplessly he gave up the idea of installing them all together.

He turned to his right side to see a family picture. His father smiling looking at his mother and him standing in between both of them with a goofy smile plastered on his face.

His father was barely at home, as he was a soldier, he liked the idea of guns and fights but could not bear to be away from his mother. He had seen how his mother used to cry while seeing his father's pictures. Then, she started indulging herself in the work. So did he in the video games.

Their family was happiest when his father came for a month or two but that was it.

"Oh God," he said yawning.

He slid in the blankets and let the sleep wrap itself around him.

Jenna felt a throbbing pain in her temples as she tried sitting up, but could not. After trying for thousand times she was finally able to reach a trunk and lean on it.

"Wait, why is it too dark here ?" She said trying to look around her.

She could not spot anything around her as it was pitch black every where around her.

She leaned a little to her left but felt herself going downwards as there was nothing to support her back.

"Ouch," she mumbled rubbing her forearm. She tried running her hands over the rough spiny wall supporting her weight. She could not recall any kind of wall in the coaching centre that was, so spiny like this one.

She tried thinking the reasons only to feel a throbbing pain in her temples again.

She closed her eyes tightly in an attempt to stop the pain.

"Is there anyone?" She tried but she was not responded. She was getting anxious now. She felt herself starting to get short of breath, she started to breath heavily.

She again felt herself going in darkness, without understanding what was going on.

Trevor felt something "buzz---zzz" on his ear. He slapped his left ear in an attempt to stop the cause that was producing that annoying buzzing.

The voice stopped for a moment, but soon he felt alot more voices surrounding him.

He opened his eyes to kill the mosquito that was continuously interrupting his sleep.

But when he opened his eyes there was not a simple mosquito staring right in his eyes. It was an unknown specie, it looked like a dragon fly but it had sting like a honey bee and its eyes were penetrating like a laser.

Terrified he tried looking around, but was met with darkness except the small laser holes those were emitting from their eyes.

He felt himself dreaming, "of course, it has to be a dream." He assured himself.

A mosquito started moving towards him , alerting him that those were still here. He started frantically moving his hands. The bee like creatures moved away from him and started going in an opposite direction. "Thank God," he said in a breathy voice.

He looked around to find something around him, but he could not see a single thing around him the only source of his light , the bees, was gone.

He could hear voices of howling around him, and he could hear clicks, as he heard in the games.

He tried clearing his ears, he thought he was again imagining things. But even after clearing them those clicks didn't stop.

He stood up and started looking in his oany pockets to find something ir anything that could be helpful. He finally touched some stones in his back pockets he suddenly took them out and saw them, "who put them in ?" He mused.

He looked at those small stones awkwardly, "what do I do with this?" He looked at them helplessly.

He suddenly realised the time when his father told him how his was once trapped in an island and how he had started a fire in order to rise smoke to keep wild animals away from him.

"Stones?" He said "of course I can start fire!" He said grinning.

He continued rubbing those stone but to vain, nothing happened.

"Lies, lies all lies!" He said throwing those stones away forcefully. The stones rubbed heavily one last time and a fire erupted out.

"Wow," he said shocked. He moved to the stones. He did not know how to keep it on. He started looking around in the light now.

He was shocked to see around him. He was standing in a forest with a whole lot of trees surrounding him from all the directions.

He looked around to find a stick to light it up with fire as well. But found none around him. So he finally decided to break few from trees around him.

He tore one, only to see something incredible.

"Oh Man ! Is that for real ?" He looked at the programs in the torn tree now.

"How is it even possible?" He shook his head and again moved closer to the tree to see alot of programming constants moving in the tree trunk.

"This has to be a sick joke or a dream," he declared nodding to himself.

He moved to the other tree and broke a stick again only to see same programs moving in it as well.

"Its final, it is a fuc**g dream!" He said.

He was blindly moving away from trees when he accidentally hit a tree and fell hard on the ground.

"Sh**" he swore. "It is supposed to be a dream, why is it hurting me so much ?" He mumbled messaging backed his head.

A few moments later, he finally willed himself to burn those sticks and keep the fire for as long as he could.

He sat near the stones and put those sticks over it to start the fire. It started to burn thankfully with no trouble at least that was helpful.

He sat in front of the fire thinking, "what the hell is going on?"

"I gotta try and find some way out of it. I don't even know if it is actually what I'm thinking it is, it can't be !" He declared.

He leaned his back to a nearby tree and closed his eyes ignoring all the clicks, all the hissing sounds those he believed were of snakes, but he was overworked to even think of all the stuff going on around him,

He closed his eyes once again and and let the dreamless land encage him for now.
