It has been 7 months since I appeared in an alternate version of the DC universe world. My name is Masaru Naoki. A 21-year-old Japanese American who isn't originally from the DC verse. My mother is Japanese, and my father is American. I was living an average life with my father, mother, and my 1 years old brother. Well, not a normal life. I was born into a world where two psychopathic maniac killers roamed freely. Their code names being RB and BR, and they were a Father and son duo. They were true savages, each of their victims numbering over the hundreds. The son, aka RB, was the worst.
I had a crazy childhood that I wouldn't even call a childhood. Since the gang, those two psychopathic created mostly attacked large gatherings, most schools eastern coast of the United States were closed. I went to an online school for 19 years of my life. Bearly going outside and constantly living in fear. I can't even begin to imagine what my father was going through. Having to leave the house every day to work as a police officer.
Thank God, two years ago, the son killed the father. Before the father's death, he turned in his son, and the son was executed. Worst of all, that BASTARD didn't show any remorse for what he did. He sat on the chair, not caring he was about to die. He even dared ask for the last meal. Even God sent down purple lightning to purge that bastard.
That day was like a celebration. Although their gang still stay, they were less savage and more cautious. One year ago, my mother finally stopped using birth control, and I gained a younger brother. For my brother's first year's birthday, we decided to visit my mother's family in Japan.
On our way there, a rip in space suddenly appeared within our car, sucking all of us in. That day, I knew what true pain was. My head was ripped apart by space, and the scream of my family made it even worse.
After what seemed like an eternity, I landed on cold hard ground in an alleyway. An alleyway of Central City in the DC vers. To my surprise, I got an ability, which I named Mathematics. I can calculate virtually anything. The average speed of the wind hitting my body, the walking speed of someone by calculating the length of each of their legs, and so forth. Anywhere I looked, math equations and answers flooded into my mind. Thankfully, I soon learned to control it. Turning it off and on whenever I need it.
The first person I met in this world was the Flash, Barry Alan, and I met him in a bar. He looked exactly like Grant Gustin, the one who acted Flash in the CW show. He was washed up, his eyes looking deader than fish. He kept gulping down bottles of bears like water. I knew it was due to his inability to get drunk, but others, not so much.
We spoke for a while, and after I secretly told him his superhero identity, he started slowly open up to me. By the end of the day, I knew a lot. First, this world was the DC comics, with a little bit of the Arrowverse mixed in. Another is that Cisco and Caitlin just died. Well, killed by a villain Speedster I never heard of, called Carnage. He originated from Gotham, terrorizing it for years. Killing thousands of Innocents and brutally eating their corps.
Hearing Flash's story, he reminded me of RB and BR. Remembered how they made 19 years of my life a living hell, I didn't want anyone else to feel like that, so I vowed to eradicate it from the earth.
I told Barry about my 'meta-human ability', and he took me to star labs to learn and practice my ability more. There, I met a woman named Felicia Smoke. At first, I thought she was the Felicity Smoke of this earth, but it turned out she was just her sister. Although she looked exactly like Felicity, she was more beautiful and mysterious air around her. She was so smart that it scared me. Even with my Mathematics ability, I could never beat her in any calculation. She said her only ability was perfect memory, but I don't believe her. After gaining my Mathematics power, I gained Perfect memories, remembering everything from my past life, even when I was born. There was no way she could outsmart me with only perfect memory.
I once asked her out, but she refused, saying I would get in more trouble. I asked why and she said Carnage is after her due to her helping Batman Capture him the first time. This made me hate Carnage even more, and I promised her I will kill Carnage, and in return, she will marry me. This seemed to please her, but she never replied.
One day, when I went to Gotham with Barry to meet Batman, Earth was invaded by Darkseid, and that day, almost half of the United States went missing in an explosion. Felicia also died in that explosion. I will find the one who causes that explosion and make them suffer.
Later on, I joined the Justice League as a recommendation from Flash. I was the first member to join the newly formed Justice League, which was like a dream come true. Of course my ability, I wasn't trusted by any of them, and Batman didn't trust me overall. But, soon, I knew they were going to trust me. After I help stop Carnage of course.
"Are you certain this is going to help Flash stop Carnage?" Batman asked me, inspecting the lightning bolt symbol he was holding.
I was in the workshop of the Secret Sanctuary, with Batman, Cyborg, Flash, and Superman here with me. Cyborg and I worked together to create a new suit that would boost Flash capability by a whole margin. It has three forms, with each form increasing Flash's speed and ability tremendously.
"Yes. Masaru and I have been working on this for a while now. I am confident in HIS calculation." Cyborg said, gesturing to me. After all, it was I who created the blueprint and did all the calculations.
All Cyborg did was provide me with the materials and help me build them.
Batman looked over to me, and I gave him a small nod. "What are the functions?" He asked, still staring at me.
"Place it on Flash's chest, and tell him to conduct some speed force energy into it," I said, looking into Batman's eyes.
Batman stared at me with furrowed brows before looking over to Cyborg who nodded with a smile. Gesturing toward Barry, who was in his civilian clothes, he walked forward then Batman placed the lightning bolt symbol on his chest. A little orange lightning sparked around Barry's body and the next thing you know, a red and orange armor formed around him. Batman's eyes widen in shock, glancing toward me, and I smiled back.
"How do you feel?" Batman asked, inspecting the new flash.
"I fell fine. No, I feel better than ever." Flash said, feeling around his body. "It feels like this armor is part of me. Amazing..."
"This suit protects flash from immense heat and friction so he can operate at his top speed, optimally. The second form, which is the primary attack form, utilizes aero rakes to reduce bodily exertion and improve his razor-sharp superhuman reflexes. The last form is the ultimate form. The suit manifests energy-storing panels to enable easier manipulation of electrical energy drawn from the speed force." I explained, noticing Batman's eyes widen the longer I spoke.
"Interesting," Superman said, folding his arm.
Noticing Superman's narrowed eyes, I spoke, "Noting can look into the suit. At least, no kind of X-ray vision. Don't want people seeing Flash Identity after all." Superman looked over to me before nodding. "Not only that, the suit is durable enough to receive a strong punch from Superman himself multiple times. It also increases his strength. He can now send Superman flying with a casual punch.
Flash looked over to Superman as if asking to try. Superman casually opened his arm, inviting Flash to try.
"We will test it out later. Are there other additional functions?" Batman asked, looking over at me.
"Yes. Since Carnage is a speedster, I added a huge counter to the suit. First, he can't phase into the suit no matter what frequency he vibrates at. That would counter most of his one-attack kill. From the information Luthor gave us, I added a chemical which would stop Carnage from regenerating from any damage Flash inflates." I said, noticing a slight smile appearing on Batman's face.
"You did good, kid," Batman said, turning around. "Flash and Superman, you both test out the suit. I will speak with Lex Luthor."
"Can I come too? To speak with Lex, I mean." I asked, stepping forward.
"Yes." That's all Batman said as he walked away.
Cyborg gave me a thumbs up, causing me to smile. 'I earned a little bit of Batman's trust. Now, to take down Carnage.'
