Chapter 23: Alex's Mishap
Jason snapped from his chaotic mind. He dejectedly told Micheal his brief encounter with Luna at his family villa. He recalled what his mother, his brother and Aunt Jia told him. But his mother forgot to mentioned that Luna was married.
When Jason finished, both of them had a dazed expression on their face.
"...So from what you had said, Luna was the chef that cured your brother's anorexia and she also helped Uncle Li nurtured his health?" Micheal asked for the umpteenth time and Jason just nodded his head.
"How long ago was that?" Micheal asked.
"My mother said from six years ago..and Aunt Jia said almost six years. She get Luna recommendations from my mother."
"Holy fu*king sh*t! All along, she was near us. Umm..did..did Dan know?" Micheal nervously asked.
Jason paled.
"..I'm not sure..but I think not yet. After all, Luna introduced herself as Luna Wang not Wang Hua. So, even though Aunt Jia told him, he might not know they are the same person, right..?"
Krik. Krik. Krikk. Silence ensued.
"..Right..do you know who was her husband?" Jason inquired.
He was curious what kind of man was him to be able to captured Luna's heart.
"No..not yet. Actually that's the favor that I want to ask from you. I can't sleep last night thinking how I should asked you. Suddenly you came, delivered yourself here. So, could you find some informations on her?"
"Give me your laptop," Jason urged.

Luna did not know how she had arrived at the hospital without getting herself into an accident. After she parked her car at the public parking lot, luckily she found one, she ran into the emergency department and rushed towards the receptionist counter.
"..A..Alex..Ming..Fai.." She asked, short of breath.
The nurse typing on the computer.
"First floor, Room 2."
Luna thanked her and sprint towards the staircase. The lift was full. She can't wait.
Upon reaching the room, she was out of breath. She slumped on the waiting chair outside the room and waited impatiently.
"Are you Mr Alex Ming's family? A nurse asked her.
Luna just nodded and stood up shakily.
"The doctor want to see asked you a few questions, please follow me."
Luna trudged behind the nurse into the room. She can see the unconscious Alex laid on the bed.
Then she heard the doctor spoke, "Are you his sister? His wife just being sent to the operation theater to fix her broken arm. She suffered an open fracture on her left arm which required immediate surgery. She's in the OT2.
"This patient sprained his neck and apparently both of his thighs were broken. We just finished giving him some emergency care and waited for the X-ray and CT scan results to further provide us the severity of the fracture or any other injuries. As you can see, we placed both of his leg in traction to keep his broken bones as aligned as possible. If there is no other life-threathening injury, we will conduct the surgery as soon as possible. Before that, we need to know his medical history. Did he had any allergies? High blood pressure? Asthma?
"Did he smoked?"
Luna shakes her head several times and absentmindedly answering the doctor inquiries. She can't hear the rest of the doctor words as the word 'his wife..his wife..' keep swirling inside her mind.
Luna trudged out the room and sat on the chair. Suddenly she felt her body lose it's energy.
'He was with that woman.'
The next thing she knew, the nurse passed her Alex's phone. She just accepted it with a blank face. She continue to sat there dazedly until her phone ringing, brought her out from her daze. She absentmindedly answered.
"Luna..are you on your way? Lily cried and asking for you."
She heard Sister Chien's anxious voice.
Luna quickly jumped on her feet and rushed out the ER. She ran to her car and accelerated to the workshop.
'How can she forget about Lily?' She chided herself.
She almost getting herself into an accident before she braked in front of the workshop. She opens her door and Lily rushed towards her and hugging her.
"What happened baby? Are you hurt somewhere?" Luna asked while inspecting her daughter's body, up and down, front and back, left and right. When she didn't see any wound or bruise, she sighed in relief and hugging her daughter tightly.
Sister Chien who was standing at the side worriedly asked, "Are you okay? You had swollen red eyes."
Luna just nodded. Even though Sister Chien was unconvinced, she did not pry further.
'Everyone had a bad day.'
Luna drove back home after she coaxed Lily to stop crying. She bathed her then patted her to nap. Next, she stood under the shower head while crying her heart out. The burden feeling was too much that she felt drained. After over an hour, she came out and changed.
She make a call to Alex's personal assistant to informed him about Alex situation. As his wife and the second largest shareholder, she has the right to take over the company, at least until Alex was discharged from the hospital. It was also stated in the company legal papers that if anything unfortunate happen to the CEO, she was appointed as the Acting CEO until a new CEO was selected.
"Send me his schedule for a month and all his progressing works."
Then she proceeds to give him some further instructions.
"If there's any important documents that needed urgent attention, send them to me too. Anything else, you can directly inform me."
She ended the call and rubbed her face.
